DC:The Darkest Knight

Chapter 16: Intruders

{Sir, you may want to watch this.}

Eden displayed an image in front of me while I worked on the Batmobile.

I saw a farm boy lifting a tractor over his head, grinning widely with excitement in his eyes, although he looked like he was doing his last rep on a 2-hour-long gym session.

"Whoa, that's some strong boy," Selina commented next to me as she lay on the tools on the table in a really uncomfortable position, trying to act like a cat.

She started doing this after I told her a month ago that I would give her a serum to give her cat-like abilities. She got so excited that she began acting like a cat, sleeping in unusual and most uncomfortable places, snuggling up to me and asking for pets, and knocking things off tables.

"What's the weight of that tractor, Eden?" I asked.

{2,388 kilograms, sir}

"Damn, he is almost as strong as Alfred. Who is this Bruce? Why are you watching him?" Selina asked.

"This boy is someone who will someday grow strong enough to pull a planet or punch the sun with his bare hands."

"You're kidding, right? No human can be that strong," Selina said, rolling her eyes.

"I didn't say human, but you'll see. And why are you here? Shouldn't you be in school?" I noticed she had been skipping school more since I showed her the Batcave and started her training.

"Oh my, look at the time," Selina said, glancing at her empty wrist. "I need to go pick up my sister." With that, she jumped off the table and ran off.

"Eden, initiate the Blood Sun project." Blood Sun is code for the Red Sun, which has the opposite effects on Kryptonians than the Yellow Sun.

The yellow sun gives them power, while the red sun takes it away, making them more human. I'm planning to build a prison cell with a red sunlight source once I finish the Bat-station.

{Do you want me to begin the search for the Green Kryptonite, sir?}

"Just do a general search for it, there is no rush since in a few years a baldy will provide me plenty of it and send drones to Kent Farm to search for the ship Clark arrived in and scan it."

Once Superman begins his hero career, Green Kryptonite will pop out everywhere, to the point that even a random thug will have it in his pocket, and Lex Luthor will especially pay close attention to kryptonite, going as far as spending billions to mine the Green Kryptonite. So instead of spending resources and money on finding Green Kryptonite, I will just take some from my good old buddy Lex.

[2 years later]

I made a few adjustments to my own technology with Kryptonian tech I got from Superman's ship, then finished building the Batmobile, which is capable of transforming a variety of vehicles from a skateboard to a bike, tank, or spaceship.

I also sent three satellites into Earth's orbit, which is fewer than I intended. While working on the third satellite, the offshore accounts of Wayne Enterprises board members were emptied. Not because they withdrew their funds; I had already blocked their access, and they couldn't do anything about it since I'm actively blackmailing them.

So, I had to use my own money to fully finance the third satellite. I saved money by using my bat-suit to launch the satellites into space. Even though I have billions, I wanted to limit my expenses until I took Wayne Enterprises back.

I considered using the offshore accounts of the Court of Owls members, but I didn't want them to burn Gotham to the ground to make up for the money they lost. I could take them out, but it would cripple Gotham's economy since the majority, if not all, members of the Court of Owls are influential people operating in Gotham actively.

Also, using my stealth suit, I sneaked into the military base where experiments of the ACTH derivative were taking place.

While I was searching for the serum, I came across Deathstroke. My curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to watch him. He lost his mind and killed the scientists who had been experimenting on him. Then, he killed a few soldiers, dodged cameras while easily avoiding surveillance, which was severely lacking considering the base we were in, and made his escape.

I must admit, it is painful to watch because he basically strolled out of the heavily guarded base without anyone caring about him.

I mean, the dude was the only survivor of a top-secret experiment involving 100 people, and he was only being watched by a few soldiers, not to mention he wasn't being monitored 24/7.

It made me wonder if there was some higher power pulling the strings behind, since there is no way a human, even if strengthened by a serum, can break out of a heavily guarded top-secret military base like it's a playground he used to play.

As Deathstroke left the base, I placed a tracker bug on him, then returned to the base to steal an ACTH sample. I removed the side effects and mixed it with the SSS. It took me a while since they weren't exactly compatible, but I finally finished my puberty serum and completed building the Batcave.

[3RD POV]

On a clear night under the bright moon, a group dressed in black, led by an Asian woman, stealthily entered Wayne Manor after neutralizing the guards outside.

They entered the manor from different places—some climbed onto the roof, others used the main doors, and a few slipped in through the windows.

{INTRUDER ALERT! RED SPY IS IN THE BASE!}

Just as Bruce was cuddling Teleute, like a koala hugging a tree, with his head buried in her bosom, he was woken up by an alert.

Lifting his head, Bruce looked at the ceiling with a sluggish expression. Which showed intruders' locations inside the manor.

"Activate the Home Alone protocol and lead some of them to the Batcave to test the new pets," Bruce instructed, then buried his head back into Teleute's bosom.

Sleeping gas is quickly released in the staff quarters, preventing anyone from waking.

One intruder who entered through the door started up the stairs. However, halfway up, a spike shot through his foot. The spike transformed into a hook, anchoring him in place, and the stairs opened up, swallowing him before he could scream.

In another part of the manor, on a corridor, one of the intruders was sliced by a laser wall and cut into a thousand pieces.

Things like this happened all over the manor as intruders died one way after another until only their leader was left. She was able to avoid most of the traps with her skills but was eventually caught when a barrier formed in the room she was in, releasing sleeping gas. Bat-drones soon arrived and transported her to the Batcave prison.

And Eden led a few of those intruders inside the Batcave by showing them the elevator to the Batcave.

After the intruders entered the Batcave through the elevator, they were awestruck and couldn't hide their amazement as they took a moment to look around before shaking off their amazement and concentrating on their mission.

While exploring the cave, one of them spotted an unusual shape on the wall. It looked like a tall, slender creature with long, sharp claws, a very long tail with a pointed end, and an elongated head.

Slowly approaching, the intruder narrowed his eyes to get a better look at the strange shape on the wall. As he looked closely, he thought it was a statue. So, he slowly reached out his hand to touch it. But just as he was inches from it, the tail of the statue moved and pierced through his head, startling the other intruder beside him. Before he could react, the creature slashed at him with lightning speed, and his head fell to the ground.

The creature was a Xenomorph, or more specifically, a genetically modified reptile that Bruce had transformed into a Xenomorph.

Meanwhile, the last intruder faced an even worse fate. He managed to slash at the Xenomorph's torso, but instead of killing it, the creature's acidic blood sprayed onto his face, causing it to melt. He screamed in pain and agony while the Xenomorph pinned him down and began to devour him alive.
