Chapter 14

When Mark arrived home, he put the take out on the table and sat down. He opened the System Interface to check his skill tree. He put the two skill points that he had remaining on the Inventory Skill since Replicate only needed two points in Inventory before he can put a point on it. Once a point was on it, he would be able to experiment with Replicate to check what he can do with it to earn money. He wanted to quit his job so he can concentrate on exploring his dungeon and leveling up. Once he was done assigning his skill points, he put the food and drinks from the table on his Inventory. He also added a five hundred milliliters of bottled water so he can have some water when thirsty during dungeon run. At exactly six in the evening, he went down to the Second Floor of the dungeon which for some reason was still bright as day.

This time, Mark moved much faster since he remembered the area where the previous battles happened and he was not worried that the mob would respawn since according to the Help section in the Interface, it will take two days from the death of last mob of the floor before the respawn will occur. When he arrived at the area where the last battle happened, he continued walking, still in a fast pace, since this time he was not afraid because his Void Bolt damage can one hit kill the enemies on this floor. With the additional percentage damage of his Intelligence stat and the additional damage of the level of his Telekinesis which was the level multiplied to three added to Void Bolt, the Void Bolt damage was around one hundred and eleven and the HP of the goblin and wolves that he had seen so far range from eighty to one hundred. A good thing that even though he did not put a point on Identify, the Notification Window told him exactly the HP of the monsters once he hit them.

Mark saw a group of five goblins and wolves again. He killed all of them in one hit with the bolt and then waited for his MP to restore and the loot to appear. He received another skill point, a leather shirt, a leather bracer, an iron spear and an iron knife. He put all of the loot into his Inventory since it now had twenty by twenty grid. It expanded to twenty by twenty when he added the two skill points on it. Mark quickly switched to the Skill Tree tab and added a point to Replicate. When he switched back to Inventory, it now has a fifteen by fifteen grid and a separate five by five grid appeared. This was where he can put the items that he wanted to replicate. He quickly put in his smartphone on the Replicate assigned grid and replicated his smartphone. His MP reduced a bit since according to the description, the MP cost of Replicate was five MP per kilogram. A silhouette of his smartphone appeared on his view and when he held his hand to it, the smartphone solidified and appeared directly on his hands. He removed the smartphone from his Inventory and scrutinized them carefully. They were exactly the same. He put the two smartphone back to his Inventory and moved the big Mac meal as well as the can of soda and a bottle of water from the regular Inventory grid to the Replicate assigned grid. Now he can have a big Mac meal anytime he wanted as long as he had MP.

Mark continued exploring the floor and killed all of the goblin and wolves that he encountered. He was never in danger since the largest group that he stumbled upon was a mob that consisted of four goblins and four wolves. All in all, he killed around eighty monsters, leveling four levels bringing his total level to eight. Excluding the earlier earnings that he received, the total stat points that he received from leveling up was four, and the total skill points was nineteen. Four skill points from leveling up and fifteen from mob drop. Regarding the item loot, he threw away the redundant loot and just kept a single full set of crude leather hat, shirt, pants, bracers, and crude leather sandals. For the weapons, he kept a single set of crude iron rod, an iron knife, iron hatchet, iron spear, iron club and crude iron sword. More than likely, he would throw all of these away once he inspected them using Identify.

Mark did not assign the stats and skill points because he will need to plan it out thoroughly outside the dungeon to avoid making any mistakes. When he reached the end part of the second floor, he saw the portal to the third floor. He hesitated a bit but decided to enter to check it out. When he entered the portal, it was still a cave system but larger than the second floor. It was still a corridor but wider. He also saw some obstructions like stalactites on the ceiling and stalagmites on some areas on the floor. It made him a bit worried since those can be used as hiding places for ambush.

Mark walked slowly a bit then he noticed a couple of monsters standing near a stone pillar. They were looking at a campfire and looked like they were talking to each other. The monsters looked like goblins but taller. Possibly hobgoblin, Mark thought. When he was in range, he lifted his hand and fired a Void Bolt on one of them. Unfortunately, it took three hits before the monster died and the he did not notice that the other one took a bow and used it to fire an arrow at him. Mark was hit on the arm. He stumbled backwards but tried to focus and not fall down. He did not want to die. He aimed his hand on the monster and cast a Void Bolt. The Void Bolt interrupted the shot of the monster making it miss him. The second and third Void Bolt hit the monster but unfortunately, it manage to release an arrow, hitting Mark on the thigh.
