Delayed Transfer

Chapter 24

Mark continued floating with his disc towards Third Floor completion. He encountered group of enemies consisting of Hobgoblins, Dire Wolves and Vampire Bats as well as their elite counterpart. He did made sure to keep a single set of loot drops on his Inventory for Identification at a later time. He used Inventory Material Destruction on those redundant loot drops that he received without identifying them. More than likely, on the lower level dungeon floor, he would be more careful with the loot items since the item’s parameter could be different with each other. But right now, upon double checking, all the loot from the third floor just provided additional two points to his stats.

Mark relentlessly killed all the monsters that he encountered, thankful of Floating Sunflower since it practically eliminated the downtime that loss of MP would have resulted per combat. It took him around seven hours to complete the third floor of the dungeon. Mark cannot wait to go back home to count all of his earnings from the dungeon so when he reached the end portal, he chose to go back to First Floor.

When he arrived on the First Floor, he removed his dungeon items that he was wearing and put them on his inventory and put all the looted items to the table. He replaced all of his equipped items with the new ones and destroyed the rest which made him avoid cleaning the used equipped item. He then went back to his apartment, cleaned himself and ate a meal. He checked if he received any notification or text on his cellphone but as expected, there were none. Once he was done with his meal he reviewed his earning.

Mark managed to level up from level eleven to seventeen. He was able to earn a total of twelve stat points. Six from leveling up and six from elite monsters. His skill points also climbed to eighteen. Six from leveling up and twelve from monsters drop.

Mark decided to spend all of his recently earned stats and skill points because he was planning to head on to the fourth floor the next day. He knew that he was deviating from what was norm for him which was to be cautious but he cannot afford to wait for the respawn time of every two days every floor. He needed to get as strong as possible not only because he wanted to be safe and survive the transmigration, he would also like to help the other would be transmigrator and he can only do that safely in a position of strength.

Mark knew that even though there may be some benefits that he could get in assisting the other transmigrator, the possible negative repercussions were much more. But the main reason was, he just wanted to. His System Boon being unique meant that he was the only one who had a dungeon and he knew that the others would be better off if they were higher level before they transmigrate. Anyways, even though he decided to help, he would probably do it near the transmigration date and after a thorough research of the individuals he would like to help. If he managed to find them.

Back to his Status page, he decided to distribute his stat points first. Mark added five points to his Intelligence making it fifteen and three points to Wisdom to make it to fifteen as well. His MP climbed from two forty to three hundred. He also distributed one stat points each to his physical stats, making all of them six. His HP climbed from one fifty to one eighty. After that, he turned his sight to the Skill Tree tab to distribute his eighteen skill points.

The first thing that Mark did was to add to his Inventory and Replicate skills again. He really wanted a large Inventory and Replicate grid. He added five points to Inventory and five points to Replicate. His Inventory climbed from level eight to level thirteen increasing the grid to seventy five by seventy five and decreasing the MP requirement to one MP per three kilograms of items. He then added five points to Replicate so now it was level twelve from level seven. It’s grid increased to sixty by sixty from thirty five by thirty five and the MP requirement decreased to one MP per two kilogram of items. He then added a point to Inventory Item Restoration so he can get a thorough detail on what it was. The description said that he can use it for 5 MP per kilogram. By using the skill on items, it will restore them to its peak condition and remove matter not part of the original items: meaning dirt and dust, and will not remove the intentionally added materials to item. How it knows what the intentions were, he did not know but it all boils down to one word: Magic. Basically it meant was, he can repair things and clean things as the same time. No more laundry which was a blessing to a single male bachelor like him.

Mark also added two points to Void Slash so he could get Lightning Void for more offensive skills. Level three Void Slash allowed its damage to climb to two hundred on a thirty MP cost. Its area of effect and range remained the same at twelve feet and fifty feet respectively. After that he added a point to Floating Sunflower for MP management. The regeneration climbed to twenty MP per second on a twenty second duration from ten MP per second. Casting cost remained at twenty MP and no changes happened to the added benefit of relieving fatigue during skill duration. Mark then added a point to Lighting Void. Basically when cast, it will act like a huge gray lightning was coming out of his hand to rip enemies in a straight line. Mark thought that it would be coming from the sky but coming from his hands looked much cooler to him, he thought. “Like Emperor Palpatine on Empire Strikes Back,” although it was not a channeling skill. It has a damage of two hundred on a twenty MP cost with seventy feet range. The last skill point was added to Mage Light. He did not really like the dark. Its description said that it would summon a floating orb of light and depending on the MP cost that he would like to use which was from one to five, the intensity will increase. The duration was very flexible. Spending one MP to twenty four MP corresponds to one hour to twenty four hour duration, and he can cancel it anytime. Now he had zero stat points and zero skill points.
