Delayed Transfer

Chapter 409

Why did Mark put in a coffee vending machine? It was because in his thought, the gaming café was still called a café and there should be some sort of beverage available for the customer but to be honest, it was just a little whimsy.

After setting up the coffee vending machine, he decided against adding more since there were a lot of food sellers just outside the gaming café and if he set up a food vending machine it would probably cut back the customer’s spending on the circus people's business.

The next few days were the same, Mark would roam the circus to check the servers first then the three gaming cafes although the third one was usually empty since the only one who was supposed to use it was Nedertu and his friends and for two hours a day, the twins, and their friends. Then he would check out the theater tents then Yoda the Roller Coaster. He was a bit regretful of allowing Yoda to be used as a ride since he couldn’t use the summon for battles so he would ask Hamil that they shouldn’t use Yoda anymore and since the theater and the gaming café were profitable, Hamil would probably agree.

During the mornings, Rendira continued teaching the kids and then Lisa or Norleen would look after them while Milena and the others would sell things in the Convenient Store. Mark noticed that Milena enjoyed selling things in the Convenient Store so even though he was about to propose for them to stop selling things, he couldn’t since he didn’t want to take away the thing that Milena was enjoying doing. besides, he did plan to open an account in the Wizard Merchant Guild Organization and knew that it would probably take an untold amount of coins before he could save there. He could cheat by replicating coins but he didn’t want to tempt fate and based on his experience, a currency that’s based on metal was not valued by powerful beings. Mana Stone was still the one true currency and he didn’t even know the exchange rate if there were any.

Mark also didn’t have time to dive into his dungeon and decided that he would do so after the Star Wars convention.

He also took time to visit the orphanage to make sure that his donation wouldn’t affect the orphans and their caretakers negatively.

Mark also noticed that the resting place located inside the gaming café where he also put in the coffee vending machine became the meeting place of the circus higher-ups. More than likely, it was because the leaders were now becoming addicted to drinking coffee and surprisingly most of them prefer their coffee black. It was also because he allowed key people to get coffee from the vending machine for free.

It was a bit worrying though that the elven sisters needed to hire someone who would manage the vending machine since the customers kept drinking the beverage non-stop and someone had to fill the tank with water and get the coffee, sugar, and cream from Milena’s convenience store Mark stored a ton of them, but then there’s magic in this world so the beverage shouldn’t cause severe impact on the customer’s health.

There was still a huge crowd in front of the gaming café and it was because Hamil decided to connect one of the computers to the television outside so the crowd could see the gameplay of the customer who sat on that specific computer. Hamil got the idea when he saw the twins play and their friends watching one of their gameplay on the huge television screen inside the small tent.

Mark asked Hamil if it was okay to have a huge crowd in front of the gaming café every day and the circus leader said that it was also a form of advertising. Hamil also set up a designated area where they could stay while watching the gameplay.

Hamil even connected a speaker to that computer so the sound of the gameplay could be heard by everyone who was outside watching the huge television and based on what Mark could see, this advertising scheme by Hamil was successful since even though everyone knew how expensive the gaming café was, most of the viewer had this wishful look on their faces, wanting to experience playing the game. Granted that most of the crowd were young people so Mark could understand.

Finally, the day of the Star Wars convention arrived. The circus was already buzzing with activity even though it was still the wee hours of the morning. Hamil and the other circus leaders wanted to make sure that the convention would be successful since it would spread the circus’ fame and would attract more customers.

Milena admitted to Mark that the circus was earning a massive amount of coins and could be considered one of the richest circuses in history and Mark, who was the cause of it all, had only been a part of the circus for a few months.

The only responsibility that Mark would have was to make sure that the convenience store would not run out of items to sell, the food in the buffet location would not run out of food, and that the gaming café would run smoothly. Everything else was handled by Hamil and the other circus leaders since he admitted to the circus leaders that he couldn’t be part of the decision-makers for the convention since it would highly stress him out.

Nedertu hired a few people who would handle the marathon that the twin’s friends would watch at the temporary tent constructed for the convention so even that wasn’t Mark’s responsibility anymore. Nedertu also assigned a couple of people who would welcome the twin’s friends. One would be in Narcone’s side and one would be in the Drovan Town’s side.

At around seven in the morning, the kids pestered Mark since they wanted to wear the Jedi costumes already since when they briefly went outside to check, most of the circus people were already wearing their Star Wars costumes. So of course, he allowed the kids to wear their costumes and even Liriel clamored to be inside the R2D2 Robot.

Mark knew that Liriel was comfortable inside the robot since she was tiny enough that the inside of the robot was spacious enough to be comfortable and not only that, the elven sisters put in runes that would control the temperature inside and would allow Liriel to see outside clearly.

The robot would only move though when somebody pushed it but Mark was planning to control it using his Telekinesis.

During breakfast, the only ones who were in the RV were Mark and the children since everyone else was busy. That meant for that day, Mark would need to look after the children. After breakfast, Mark wore his Boba Fett costume and then they all went outside to check the circus.

Mark was impressed at the decorations that Hamil and the others placed scattered in the circus. There were cardboard cutouts of characters from the nine Star Wars films, there was a Millenium Falcon, as well as several other types of spaceships from the film franchise, made out of painted boards, and the food in the food stalls was arranged to look like Star Wars theme food.

He remembered that the circus had been planning to hold the Star Wars convention ever since they were in Narcone so more than likely, the decorations were made ever since then so they did have time to make so much of them.

The children were so happy to see the circus come alive with their favorite characters from the films and they couldn’t stop running around.
