Delayed Transfer

Chapter 5

Mark opened his system interface again and clicked on the Inventory tab. He skipped the Skill Tree tab first because he knew that he would spend an ungodly amount of hours on that page. Inventory on the other hand is very simple to a gamer like him and as expected, it was a ten-by-ten grid.

Doing some standard testing, a glass of water took one grid, and the chair took six grids. So based on this test, his inventory worked like the one in Diablo Two, meaning larger things took larger space. He also felt something when he placed the things inside his inventory, so Mark switched to the Status tab and noticed that his MP decreased.

He waited for his MP to be full and tested it again. The glass of water cost him 2 MP and the chair cost him 10 MP. So based on this test, MP cost depended on the size and weight of the matter.

Mark was not interested in the math of it so he did not calculate the exact amount on how much MP per weight it would cost him. Upon further testing, he will need to touch the thing for it to enter inside his inventory.

He knew that it was very important for him to know the exact math but upon checking, the formula was on the question mark link beside inventory.

“And besides, I just need to stack intelligence and Wisdom Stats for my MP to grow that sooner or later, I will be able to put heavier things on my inventory.”

He also found that he was not able to stack the same things on a single grid by using a stack of plates but was able to put a lot of things by using a bag.

Based on this result, Mark knew that he was wrong in concluding that his inventory was simple. In fact, it was much more complex than he was expecting. He was also concerned about the small size but upon further reading the help section located in the question mark beside the inventory, one of his skills can increase its size and decrease the MP cost.

Mark was thinking that once he increased the size of his inventory by upgrading the related skill, he may be able to enter larger and heavier things like a car and fuel. He also realized that he could use his inventory to steal things to solve his money problems but upon reflection, he knew that it was not that simple.

It will take very complex planning and connection to use it in solving the said problems through stealing or being a porter.

“And besides, Mother will come down from heaven and hit me with a flip-flop if I go down that route “, Mark thought.

He also only has one year before transmigration so he cannot plan his life based on the things he can get from earth. But realistically, once he is desperate and time is running out, he may go down that route but thinking about it now made his stomach turn. Mark also thought that maybe one of his skills could help him get money without committing a crime.

After reflecting for a bit, he turned his gaze to the Skill Tree tab. Once it opened, there were three-line sections. Written on the first line section was an impressive-looking description of a job if you can call it that. Space and Void Chancellor.

It still has the question mark inside the circle beside it and every other line for that matter so that meant that he would still have information on everything by clicking on it. It also had the minus and plus sign beside it, meaning that it was expandable.
