Demon Lord and His Unknown Child With the Empress

Chapter 23 - Damn It! Will You Talk?!

Chapter 23
Damn It! Will You Talk?!

“Yechen, Ye Ye?”

After the danger had passed, Luo Ruying rushed into the forest, searching for Ning Yechen and Luo Hongye.

She anxiously weaved through the trees, calling out their names.

Soon, she heard rustling sounds from the forest ahead.

Ning Yechen emerged from the trees, carrying Luo Hongye.

Seeing them both safe and sound, Luo Ruying let out a sigh of relief, her anxious heart finally calming down.

“Wife.”

“Mommy!”

Tears welled up in Luo Hongye’s eyes as she reached out her small arms towards Luo Ruying.

When Ning Yechen reached Luo Ruying, she stretched out her hands and took Luo Hongye, holding her tightly and gently stroking her back.

“Mommy’s here, good Ye Ye, don’t cry.”

Overjoyed at seeing her child and him again, Luo Ruying’s eyes moistened, and she almost burst into tears of joy.

Ning Yechen stood beside them, a smile on his face, and opened his arms towards Luo Ruying, seemingly waiting for her to embrace him.

Luo Ruying raised her eyes and gave Ning Yechen a reproachful glare.

“I told you to take the child away, why did you bring her back?”

“What if something had happened?”

He had expected a touching reunion, with her eagerly rushing into his arms, but instead, he was met with a scolding…

She clearly looked happy, though.

Ning Yechen stood awkwardly, his arms still open, unable to explain that he already knew everything was over. He could only obediently admit his mistake:

“It was my fault, wife…”

“But how could I abandon you and our child?”

“Yes! Ye Ye doesn’t want to leave Mommy!”

Luo Hongye chimed in with a firm voice.

Luo Ruying’s heart trembled slightly, touched by their words, but she still glared at Ning Yechen.

She knew that both Ning Yechen and Luo Hongye were worried about her, which was why they came back.

She also couldn’t bear to leave them.

But she couldn’t put them in danger!

If this happened again, she would still make them leave and buy them time herself.

It was fortunate that a powerful senior had intervened this time; otherwise, the consequences of Ning Yechen returning with their child would have been disastrous!

The time she had bought them by sacrificing herself almost went to waste.

This was why she was a bit angry.

“Don’t do this again!”

“It’s too dangerous.”

“I’ll forgive you this time.”

“Yes, yes, yes, I understand, wife.”

“So, aren’t you going to give your husband a welcome-back hug?”

Ning Yechen replied perfunctorily, maintaining his smile and open arms towards Luo Ruying.

Dissatisfied with Ning Yechen’s casual tone, Luo Ruying pouted. After a moment of hesitation, she stepped forward and leaned into his embrace, still holding Luo Hongye.

Seeing his expectant expression, and considering they had finally reunited, she decided to indulge him with a hug…

Ning Yechen wrapped his arms around Luo Ruying’s waist, pulling her closer.

Luo Ruying’s cheek pressed against his chest, a faint blush creeping onto her face. She didn’t resist, silently accepting his embrace.

It was the first time she had been held like this, and she felt unexpectedly warm and safe in his arms…

Before she knew it, Luo Ruying closed her eyes.

Exhausted from overexerting her spiritual energy, she fell asleep.

But she still held Luo Hongye tightly in her arms.

Luo Hongye also nestled against Luo Ruying, falling asleep peacefully.

Looking at the sleeping mother and daughter, Ning Yechen smiled with affection and gently caressed Luo Ruying’s cheek, his heart aching for her.

She wasn’t strong enough, yet she still pushed herself…

Forcefully overdrawing her spiritual energy and using techniques beyond her current realm could damage her foundation.

If she wasn’t careful, she might even lose her remaining cultivation.

It was fortunate that he was here…

Ning Yechen channeled his spiritual energy to protect Luo Ruying’s meridians. Holding her, he disappeared from the spot and reappeared inside the house. He gently placed the mother and daughter on the bed and covered them with a quilt.

He then sat by the bed, watching over them.

Just then, a voice transmission reached him.

“Master! We’ve captured the person you wanted!”

Upon receiving the news, Ning Yechen’s expression turned cold. After glancing at the sleeping mother and daughter, he once again vanished from the house.

Inside a certain cave in the Demon Realm Forest

In the dim cave, muffled groans of pain echoed from its depths.

“Mmm, mmmmph!!!”

Su Sheng was tightly bound to a stone pillar, a wooden gag in his mouth, enduring a relentless beating.

He no longer had the air of a refined scholar. Instead, he was bruised and battered, his clothes tattered, his body covered in cuts and bruises, a picture of utter misery.

“Talk! Who sent you here!”

“Damn it! Will you talk?! Will you talk?!”

The Chaos Bull Demon stood before Su Sheng, his massive fists pounding relentlessly on his body, demanding answers.

“Damn it! He’s tough!”

“I’ve punched him dozens of times, but he refuses to open his mouth!”

“Move aside, let me handle this!”

The Titan Giant Ape rolled up its sleeves and took over from the Chaos Bull Demon. Its gigantic ape fists pounded heavily on Su Sheng!

With each punch, the stone pillar behind Su Sheng trembled, and the entire cave shook!

“You’re still being stubborn! Still being stubborn!”

“Still not talking, huh? I’ll make you talk!”

After a few punches from the Titan Giant Ape, Su Sheng was coughing up blood, tears welling up in his eyes as he desperately let out muffled “mmmmph” sounds.

One of the strongest cultivators in the Mortal Realm was now reduced to tears of pain and frustration…

After escaping with the Thousand Li Divine Escape Talisman, he thought he was safe, but he hadn’t expected these three Demon Kings to chase after him like madmen…!

He was eventually caught and, after a desperate fight, was defeated and captured.

Then, they brought him to this cave, gagged him, and without a word, started torturing him for information!

He wanted to beg for mercy, tell them everything he knew, and plead for his life, but his mouth was blocked!

He couldn’t speak at all!

These two Demon Kings just kept beating him, seemingly unaware that he couldn’t speak…!

He was truly suffering in silence!

The Sky-Swallowing Python, standing to the side, watched silently, looking at the Chaos Bull Demon and the Titan Giant Ape as if they were idiots.

Did these two fools genuinely not notice that his mouth was gagged, or were they doing this on purpose…?

Although the Sky-Swallowing Python had noticed, she had no intention of reminding them.

If she had to say why, it was to vent her anger!

It was because of these damned intruders that they were almost blamed by that Master again and nearly lost their lives.

Beating them up a bit wasn’t enough to vent their anger!
