Desire of the demon

Li Huo narrowed his eyes at the chaos outside, muttering to himself, "Demon cultivators... did they attack this place in my previous life ?" He wasn't sure about it since in his last life He never made into the academy and was disqualified ,he sighed heavily, disappointed that his plans for an easy life had crumbled. "And here I thought I could freeload here, pat my ass, and head to the cultivation realm."

He turned his attention to the blue screen in front of him and asked seriously, "Tell me the truth. Is this because of that whole protagonist and villain situation?"

[A villain collaborated with the demon cultivators. He gave them the location of this place to get rid of the protagonist.]

Ruthless . That was the impression Li Huo got from the brief explanation.

Suddenly, there was a frantic knock at his door. Li Huo quickly opened it to see Sha Li standing there, pale and trembling.

"Li Huo, we have to run! They're here, and they won't leave us alive! The otherworldly humans—" Sha Li's voice shook with fear.

"Calm down, Sha Li." Li Huo's tone was measured . "Where do you think we can run to? There's nothing but open fields for fifty kilometers in every direction. Running won't help. The academy's instructors and senior members are already fighting. We need to stay here and survive."

Just as Li Huo was about to shut the door, he noticed something—or rather someone—flying straight toward them. With quick reflexes, he grabbed Sha Li by the back of the neck and pulled him down. A figure crashed through the furniture, scattering debris everywhere. It looked like someone had been thrown violently during a fight.

The bloodied figure stood up, patting the dust off his robes. His expression was fierce as he muttered,Damn it I didn't expect that woman to be so strong. She sent me flying with just one kick."

Then, he noticed Li Huo and Sha Li. A sinister grin spread across his face. "Well, what do we have here? Two little cubs. Ahahahaha! Ripping out your limbs and gouging out your eyes will be fun."

The man looked at them like a madman, his eyes gleaming with malice.

Li Huo's eyes narrowed as he swiftly grabbed a slipper and hurled it at the demon cultivator The slipper hit the demon cultivators face ,The demon cultivator froze for a moment stunned by the ridiculousness of the incident.

"You little insect!" he roared. "How dare you defile my noble body with—"

"He looks like a damn Karen," Li Huo cut the demon cultivator off with a swift powerful kick to the jaw dislocating it in the process. Without hesitating, he followed up with a palm strike to the man's chest, channeling his internal energy.

The impact obliterated the demon cultivator's heart, killing him instantly.

"Just a measly Qi Gatherer," Li Huo thought with disdain. "Does he really think he's some big shot? In my prime, he wouldn't have even sensed my presence, let alone dared to insult me."

With that, Li Huo crouched down and began rummaging through the cultivator's body, searching for anything useful. "Spiritual energy-restoring pills would come in handy right now," he muttered under his breath.

After a few moments of searching, he frowned. "Nothing. Looks like he was out of spiritual energy and used up all his supplies," he murmured, shaking his head. "No wonder he was so easy to kill."

"Li Huo, are you okay?" Sha Li asked anxiously as he rushed over to check on him.

"I'm fine," Li Huo replied, but his face turned grim and serious as he felt the terrifying aura approaching the door. "Damn it a Mid-stage Qi Compression cultivator."

The door opened, revealing a man who wore red robes with blood red lips and black sleepy eyes the man looked at Li Huo and Sha Li indifferently like an ant and said. "So, you're the ones who killed my fellow sect member? Not bad for kids from a backwater place. If you hadn't run into me, you might've had a bright future."

Li Huo glanced at the tattoo on the man's hand. A disciple of some elder... If I kill him, that tattoo will mark me. His elder will be able to track me down instantly. I don't need a powerful cultivator breathing down my neck right now.

Without hesitation, he grabbed Sha Li by the collar.

"Li Huo! Wait! What are you doing?! Ahhhhh!" Sha Li screamed and wriggled like a snake trying to free himself up from Li Huo's crutches but his futile efforts were in vain as Li Huo jumped off the balcony, dragging him along. The mid-stage cultivator followed them in hot pursuit.

"This bastard won't let up…" Li Huo looked back and muttered as they ran. "And with this dead weight, it's even harder to shake him."

Suddenly, Li Huo tossed Sha Li in a random direction. "If the demon cultivator goes after him, great. If not... well, at least I got rid of a burden," he thought coldly.

He grabbed onto a buildings balcony and continued climbing up the dorm building like a monkey, the cultivator still relentlessly chasing him.

Li Huo sighed. "Looks like he won't give up without a fight."

He stopped abruptly in mid air ,diving down towards the cultivator. Catching him off guard, Li Huo used the man's face as a stepping stone to leap onto another building.

"Hahaha, that was fun," Li Huo chuckled.

The demon cultivator. Was humiliated and enraged he screamed in fury, his sleepy eyes turned bloodshot real quick.He screamed like a madman and charged at Li Huo with murderous intent.

Li Huo looked at the demon cultivator who was chasing him like he had stole his girlfriend "Alright, let's end this on the rooftop," Li Huo took a deep breath and muttered, deciding to make his stand there and to finish this demon cultivator once and for all.
