Chapter 20: Joklax

The planet Joklax, a marvel of technological achievement, stretched endlessly toward the sky. The entire world was one massive city, its silver skyscrapers rising in perfect harmony, protected by a shimmering green force shield. The shield was the pride of Joklax, powered by an array of reactors deep within the planet's core—impenetrable, or so they believed.

But the peace of Joklax was shattered when hundreds of Dalek ships emerged from the void, their dark forms casting ominous shadows across the planet. The Daleks wasted no time, unleashing a relentless barrage of energy blasts against the force field. The skies burned green as the shield absorbed the initial onslaught, its glow intensifying with every hit.

Inside the control center, the President of Joklax watched the chaos unfold on a massive monitor. His advisors shouted over one another, trying to devise a countermeasure, but the Daleks were too numerous.

"They'll breach the shield in minutes!" one technician shouted, panic in his voice.

"Divert all power to the upper quadrants!" the President ordered, his face pale but resolute. "Deploy the aerial fleet!"

From the rooftops of the city, sleek fighter drones launched into the air, their glowing blue engines humming as they streaked toward the Dalek armada. Advanced targeting systems locked onto the closest ships, and beams of concentrated plasma erupted from their cannons. Hundreds of Daleks exploded in fiery bursts, but more ships replaced them, their numbers seemingly endless.

Finally, with a deafening crack, the force shield fractured. Green energy cascaded downward as the protective barrier failed, leaving Joklax exposed. The Daleks descended in perfect formation, their metallic voices echoing across the city.

"CITIZENS OF JOKLAX! PLEDGE YOUR ALLEGIANCE TO THE MASTER, OR YOU SHALL BE EXTERMINATED!"

On the ground, chaos erupted. Civilians screamed as Daleks hovered through the streets, their weapons firing indiscriminately at those who tried to flee. Buildings crumbled under the assault, their once-pristine facades reduced to rubble.

But Joklax was not defenseless. The planet's high-tech military forces responded with incredible speed, deploying ground units armed with energy rifles and mechanized suits. Drones swarmed the Daleks, their plasma cannons punching holes through the enemy ranks. On the ground, armored walkers stomped through the streets, firing volleys of rockets that sent Dalek after Dalek spiraling into the air in fiery pieces.

For a brief moment, it seemed the Joklaxians might hold their own. Hundreds of Daleks were destroyed, their remains littering the streets, but their numbers were too great. The Joklaxian forces were slowly being overwhelmed when another ship materialized above the city.

The ship was sleek and angular, its dark hull adorned with the painted image of a winged Amazonian warrior. As it descended, its presence inspired a mix of awe and dread. From the ship, 200 figures emerged, descending gracefully from the sky beneath high-tech umbrellas that glowed faintly.

The Space Valkyries had arrived.

Clad in gleaming armor and armed with energy swords and advanced plasma rifles, the Valkyries were a sight to behold. Their leader, Lysandra, landed at the forefront, her long silver hair flowing behind her and her piercing blue eyes locked onto the battlefield.

"Charge!" she roared, raising her sword high.

The Valkyries descended on the Joklaxian forces with precision and ferocity. Their plasma rifles cut down drones, and their energy swords sliced through armored walkers like paper. The combination of Dalek firepower and Valkyrie agility was unstoppable.

But the citizens of Joklax quickly realized a horrifying truth: the Valkyries and the Daleks were working together.

Lysandra strode confidently through the battlefield, her blade carving through any resistance. As she reached the city square, she addressed the crowd of terrified civilians.

"Kneel before the Master," she commanded, her voice carrying a sharp edge of authority. "The Daleks and Valkyries will spare those who submit. Resist... and perish."

Beside her, a Dalek hovered menacingly, its eyestalk glowing. "OBEY THE MASTER OR BE EXTERMINATED!"

In the skies above, Valkyrie ships patrolled alongside Dalek saucers, their coordinated strikes systematically dismantling the last of Joklax's defenses.

The President of Joklax, his face pale and trembling, was escorted into the square by two Valkyries. He looked at Lysandra, his eyes filled with despair.

"Please," he begged. "Spare my people. We will comply."

Lysandra studied him for a moment, her expression unreadable. Then she nodded. "You will announce your surrender to the entire planet. The Master demands loyalty, and you will ensure he receives it."

The President hesitated, but the sight of a Dalek's weapon charging beside him left him no choice. He bowed his head. "I will do as you say."

Around the square, the Valkyries and Daleks began securing the area, rounding up the remaining resistance fighters and civilians. Lysandra turned her gaze upward, watching as Dalek ships descended to claim their prize.

"The Master will be pleased," she murmured, a faint smile playing on her lips.

The planet of Joklax had fallen.
