Dominion of The Beast Masters

Chapter 223: Maximum The Hormones: World Star VS Gold Cosmos(2)

The aftermath of Tamara's one-shot attack left the entire arena in a stunned silence.

Victoria's composed demeanor cracked for a brief moment. Her lips tightened, and her gaze lingered on the battlefield. Zara, standing beside her, looked visibly tense, her hands clutching the edge of the rail.

The other members of Golden Cosmos sat frozen in their seats. Colin's eyes were wide, her fingers clutching her lap tightly. Milo's jaw hung open as he muttered.

"Is… is that what we're up against?" Mercury's fingers tapped an uneasy rhythm on her crossed arms, her face impassive but her tightened jaw betraying her thoughts. Eratz leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as though trying to glean something more from the brief but devastating exchange.

In the stands, the crowd murmured uneasily. Concern rippled through the audience. Fans exchanged nervous glances, the earlier energy now subdued by the sheer brutality of the attack. Even the roster of Infinite Twilight appeared shaken. The sight of one of the aces being obliterated in a single move sent shivers through everyone present.

Leonidas adjusted his posture, leaning back in his chair as if to maintain his usual air of superiority.

The other members exchanged wary glances but said nothing. Kallistra remained unaffected, crossing her arms and tilting her head slightly as if contemplating something trivial.

Devak gave a faint nod of approval.

"That's the level it takes to be the strongest," he murmured.

On the battlefield, Tamara stood still, her form imposing against the backdrop of the devastated arena.

As the dust settled, her eyes flicked toward her teammates. Her gaze was cold, unyielding. Without a word, she turned and began walking off the field.

As she neared the edge of the battlefield, she raised her hand to her neck and performed a throat-slicing gesture, while locking eyes with her team.

The message was clear, her actions speaking volumes. Her teammates nodded in unison.

Arvad's grin widened.

"Oh, she's pissed. This just got interesting."

The arena staff scrambled into action, rushing onto the field to retrieve Ryder's unconscious body.

Medics moved quickly, carefully lifting him onto a stretcher and carting him away.

A secondary crew began the arduous task of repairing the battlefield with elemental spirits.

The Golden Cosmos team exchanged uneasy glances. The battle had just begun, but the stakes had never felt higher.

The level of the competition had been set.

The cheers of the public roared through the arena as the second match was announced: the 3v3 battle.

Mercury, Raya, and Catarina stepped onto the battlefield, their expressions a mixture of calm resolve and tension.

On the opposite side, Rylas, Braun, and Elara. The crowd's excitement reached a fever pitch as the fighters locked eyes.

Catarina's gaze drifted nervously to Braun, the hulking man with long, disheveled hair and a beard that made him look more beast than man. His vacant stare and monstrous frame made her gulp audibly.

"Yeah, no," Catarina whispered. "This guy is the reason we need an age limit here. Seriously, who lets someone like that fight?"

Raya sighed, her tone flat.

"Only Milo and Colin are underage."

Mercury's eyes stayed locked on Braun.

"Keep your focus on him. He's the most dangerous one here."

Catarina nodded quickly, her usual humor muted by a flicker of fear.

"Right, so... we take out the other two first? Or just go straight for him?"

Mercury's sigh was heavy.

"You don't get it."

Raya stepped closer to Mercury.

"They're all monsters. But he's worse."

The arena hushed as the announcer's voice boomed, signaling the start of the battle.

Catarina's field spell activated, casting a chaotic shimmer of dark cat figures prowling the battlefield.

Mercury's field spell followed, engulfing the area in a massive water dome that quickly condensed into a dense mist.

Visibility dropped to near zero, save for the faint glow of shifting water currents.

Raya's beastification manifested with her katana materializing, glowing faint red, and her eyes matched its intensity. Her stance shifted as she prepared to charge.

Then it happened.

A thunderous crash shook the battlefield as a projectile struck the ground between the three Golden Cosmos fighters, sending a shockwave that knocked all of them back.

The mist parted briefly, revealing the hulking figure of Braun, his massive arm still extended from the throw.

Rylas moved like a shadow. Before Raya could even recover, a blur shot toward her.

His foot slammed into her katana in a split-second parry. The sheer force of his kick sent her flying, her body twisting mid-air as she barely managed to land without crashing outright.

Mercury's sharp instincts allowed her to react in time.

She jumped back, summoning a tidal wave to strike at Rylas, and then, her eyes widened as a massive arm appeared beside her, faster than she expected.

Braun's monstrous lariat connected with her torso, the impact folding her mid-air and launching her across the battlefield.

Elara, the cropped-haired girl clenched her fists, summoning a chaotic mixture of wind, water, and lightning.

The currents erupted violently, coursing through the field spell, creating an unrelenting storm that lashed at everyone in its radius, even her teammates.

Mercury was struck by a powerful surge of water and lightning, her body trembling as she fought to regain control.

Raya's movements slowed as streams of water and electricity struck her body. Catarina, wide-eyed and vulnerable, barely had time to react before Rylas appeared above her, his foot crashing down onto her face with monstrous force.

The impact sent Catarina sprawling, her body crashing into the ground and rolling for several meters.

A stunned silence fell over the crowd as the dust began to settle. All eyes were on the World Star team.

Rylas and Braun rose from the ground, their appearances shifting. Their muscles bulged unnaturally, veins pulsating with electricity coursing their bodies as their eyes glowed with an eerie light. Their savage forms radiated primal energy.

Braun's lips curled into a snarl, while Rylas crouched low, his body coiled like a predator about to strike.

With a guttural, animalistic growl, Rylas spread his arms wide, his voice booming with raw, savage tone.

"Welcome to the wild fields, motherfuckers!"

The audience erupted in a mix of awe and terror. The true battle had just begun.
