Chapter 11: The Man with the Axe
Goku and Bulma arrived at a silent town after travelling for three days.
"This place is really quiet. I wonder if there are even people here?" Bulma asked.
"There are people here," Goku replied.
"From their body postures, it seems Most of them are hiding," Goku said.
"Do you want to call them out?" He said while giving a wicked smile.
"Huh. Hiding? What are they hiding from?" She asked.
"I don't know," Goku replied.
"Hey, can you tell me where they are hiding?" Bulma asked.
"How about that house? I can see two people in there and it seems interesting." Goku said as he pointed to a house.
"This one," Bulma said as she walked towards a nearby house.
"Knock. Knock." She knocked on the door.
But there was no answer.
"Hey. It's open." She said as she realized that the door of the house was opened.
"Haaaaa." An old man who was carrying an axe ran out of the house while yelling.
"Kya," Bulma yelled in terror and cowered when she saw a man holding an axe running towards her.
Before the man could attack her Goku pulled her out of the way by holding her by her jacket.
He also stopped the axe with his finger.
"Please. You can do what you want to me. Just Spare my daughter." The old man said.
"I think you are having a misunderstanding," Goku said as he looked at the old man.
I don't remember this event. Goku thought in his mind.
He was a reincarnation so he has a grasp on the things that will happen in the future but sometimes there is information that is so insignificant that it leaves your head.
This is one of them.
"You are not Oolong?" The old man asked.
"Oolong? Oh, that pig." Goku said as he was reminded about the existence of a shape-shifting pig.
"Wait. You know him?" The old man asked.
"I have heard about him but personally do not know him," Goku said.
"Oh. So you were not with him." one by one people that were hiding started to come out.
"I did think it's still a bit early for him to come."
"I could have died," Bulma said as she scolded the old man.
"Haha. Sorry about that. I thought you were Oolong." The man said as he scratched his head.
"My deepest apologies." He said.
"By the way do you have this kind of thing around here?" She asked as she showed a dragon ball to the old man.
"Hmm. This is the first time I have seen something like this before." The old man said as he examined the dragon ball.
"Wait a minute. I have a ball just like that." An old woman who was nearby said as she pulled out a dragon ball.
It has six red stars on it.
"Yes. It's the one." Bulma said.
"I heard that it's something my grandmother picked up many years ago." She said.
"Can you give it to me?" Bulma asked.
"It's fine since I have no use of it." the old lady said as she handed the six-star dragon ball to Bulma.
"That's it? Aren't you going to ask us to take care of Oolong?" Bulma asked.
"Well, we will be happy if you were able to get rid of him but isn't that too big of a task for a girl like you?" The old woman said.
"I won't be the one doing it. It will be him." Bulma said as she pointed at Goku.
"You know you can just take the dragon ball and get out of here instead of making me take care of a weakling like Oolong," Goku said to Bulma.
