Chapter 4: Kakarot, Timeline
Hearing Gine's question, Talot suddenly realized he had overreacted. He quickly waved his hand and steadied his emotions before speaking, "It's nothing, I was just surprised to hear that Uncle Bardock would be back so soon. I thought it would take a few more days."
"Is that so? I thought you were thinking about something strange again," Gine said, pretending not to care.
Talot was special, she had noticed this from a young age.
Typically, Saiyans who met the power level requirements and were an upper-class warrior, they would always strive to climb higher.
For example, her eldest son Raditz, who has been trying hard to prove himself since he was a child, has become the prince's follower and rarely comes home two or three times a month.
Talot was more mature and intelligent, a level of intelligence that his peers couldn't compare to.
Gine often compares Talot to other children based on this alone, even though they all underwent the same genetic memory inheritance technology. The difference is simply too vast.
There were some children who were as low-key as Talot among the low-class warriors, but none had such high intelligence, and Talot was an upper-class warrior, a pure combat-type Saiyan.
"Aunt Gine, you go ahead with your work, I'll check on Kakarot."
Fearing that continuing to chat with Gine would reveal his inner turmoil, Talot hurriedly found an excuse.
Seeing Gine nod, Talot quickly entered the inner room.
As Talot left, Gine's eyes showed a hint of confusion.
There was nothing particularly strange about Talot's behavior, but for some reason, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something off about him today.
"Maybe I'm overthinking, or perhaps the child has really grown up," Gine said and then she continued with her work.
...
In the inner room.
The first thing Talot saw was the incubator in the corner.
The child inside looked quite large. Despite having a power level of only 2 at birth, his body was incomparable to that of an ordinary human child.
"We meet again, Kakarot. It's a shame you're still asleep," Talot muttered as he stepped closer to observe up close.
Every time he came here, he felt a sense of amazement.
Well, he couldn't help it; this guy is so special, He's the main character of the original work!
I've been reborn into the Dragon Ball world.
If he weren't a transmigrator, he couldn't have imagined that a six-month-old baby, the lowest-ranked warrior in the tribe, would not only revive the legend of the Super Saiyan but also become one of the most powerful warriors in the universe.
Memories surfaced, especially that unforgettable sentence: When Kakarot transformed into a Super Saiyan, the entire world of anime faded into insignificance*. [*This is an important line in China's dragon ball fan world.]
In his previous life, it was anime, but now, for Talot, it was reality.
After a long time of sighing, Talot took out his scouter.
Although he already knew Kakarot's power level and had measured it with an old scouter before, he still activated the new scouter to measure Kakarot's power level.
'Beep beep beep beep… Beep beep beep beep…'
[Power Level: 2]
As usual, there was no change, still only 2 points of power level.
However, the scouter also displayed the danger level and some basic information.
Of course, this data wasn't important.
[In a while, you'll be sent to Earth to start your life's journey.]
Talot didn't say it out loud but thought silently in his heart.
In fact, he didn't need to think much about Kakarot, because he knew the future storyline.
As long as he didn't interfere, everything would remain unchanged.
His future was bright.
At least he would grow up carefree and, due to his uniqueness, gradually make many friends, then search for the Dragon Balls, constantly seeking experts and growing stronger...
Compared to Raditz, Vegeta, and Nappa, who survived under Frieza's tyranny in the future, and Tarble, Broly, and Paragus, who were stranded on other planets... without a doubt, he had the most comfortable life.
"Sometimes, I really envy you, even wanting to take your place. But as time goes by, I now have my own thoughts." Talot spoke to the incubator, not caring whether Kakarot could hear or understand.
After saying this, Talot turned and left the room without hesitation.
Whether it was his voice that disturbed him or the noise of closing the door, the tightly closed eyes of Kakarot in the incubator gently twitched a few times.
...
Outside, Talot didn't leave immediately but chatted with Gine for a while before saying goodbye and returning home.
Talot's house, next to Gine's, was small but well-equipped.
For him, it was just right.
Living alone didn't require much space, as long as you have everything you need.
"That instinctive fear has finally disappeared completely; it seems those two have left Planet Vegeta." Talot first breathed a sigh of relief before focusing.
Currently, he doesn't have the energy to think about any God of Destruction or Angel.
"Once Bardock returns, I'll be able to determine with complete certainty how far the storyline has progressed."
Lying on his bed, Talot fell into deep thought.
Actually, Talot could only deduce based on the storyline he knew.
For example, as a transmigrator, he knows that even within this single period, there were many different timelines developing.
Breaking it down, it could be considered two timelines.
The first one was the earliest Dragon Ball Z setting, where Bardock was carrying out a mission to invade Planet Kanassa. During the invasion, he was ambushed by a Kanassan, briefly gaining the ability to foresee the future. This foresight gradually revealed Frieza's plan to deal with the Saiyans and ultimately destroy Planet Vegeta.
The second one was the Dragon Ball Minus timeline, which seemed more like a different story in a parallel universe. In this story, Bardock and other Saiyans invaded Planet Cereal, and during this mission, Bardock learned about Frieza's plan against the Saiyans. Thus, he sent Kakarot away earlier, and the storyline unfolded from there.
In fact, Talot was now quite certain that the world he is in should be similar to the main timeline of the original Dragon Ball Z.
This is because Kakarot is only half a year old, he, Vegeta and Raditz are still five years old, and it is now Age 737.
But in the Dragon Ball Minus timeline, Kakarot was three years old in Age 737, and he was still three years old when he arrived on Earth. This does not even include the time it takes for the spaceship to travel from Planet Vegeta to Earth.
