Dragon Ball Roshi

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Battle Against The Twins (I)

The shift in events was as abrupt as a sudden change in terrain, leaving the villagers bewildered.

Just moments ago, it seemed like they were on the brink of disaster. How did things change so quickly? That fierce and terrifying stranger... just flew away? And didn't someone appear earlier? Did that person disappear with him?

"Do not panic."

A hoarse yet peaceful voice echoed in the hearts of everyone in the village. They looked up to see a slender and tall old man floating in the air, accompanied by a majestic, red-feathered bird.

"S-Holy Mage?! Why have you appeared, esteemed elder?" The village's sorcerer stammered in surprise.

Others in the village exchanged glances upon hearing "Holy Mage." This was a legendary title, the peak of all sorcerers, and to think they were seeing him in person today.

The Holy Mage did not respond immediately. Instead, he frowned, gazing at the direction where Taro had flown off with the mysterious person. Although his prophetic dream had shown Taro saving their world from those two extraterrestrials, the dream was fragmented, and he did not know the full details of what had truly happened.

Hopefully, everything would go smoothly... Yet, despite his thoughts, he didn't feel entirely at ease.

---

Meanwhile, in the sky.

Le Orio, floating high in the cold wind with his arms crossed and an expression of indifference, suddenly froze. He narrowed his eyes and looked down. Sure enough, a tiny white line shot out from the direction of the village, flying over thousands of miles in the blink of an eye!

He knew he couldn't stay here. In an instant, he transformed into a flash of white light and raced towards the white line moving at an unbelievable speed. At the same time, he activated the power level detector on his face, beeping as data rapidly flickered across the screen. His eyes were filled with confusion as he muttered to himself: "Who is it...?"

Who is trying to ambush me!?

Di Orio, his face completely covered, could see nothing. His teeth gritted, feeling a mix of anger and shock.

The sound of wind howled in his ears, and the heavy pressure of the wind weighed down on his back!

In just a breath, they had crossed several kilometers in an instant.

As Taro carried the person in high-speed flight, he had no intention of protecting Di Orio with a Ki shield. The immense wind pressure and the heat generated from the friction with the air made Di Orio feel extremely uncomfortable!

Boom—

The two raced through the sky, leaving a white trail in the air. The air twisted and warped where they passed, and the violent wind stirred dust and debris on the ground.

Of course, Di Orio wanted to move, to break free, but this mysterious person who had appeared from nowhere pressed a hand firmly against his head, forcing him into this high-speed flight. Every time Di Orio tried to use his power to escape, he found himself involuntarily accelerating even faster, leaving him with a sense of helplessness, as if he couldn't summon any strength!

How is this person so fast!?

Who is he!?

How could he sneak up on me like this and forcibly take me away!?

Di Orio felt completely bewildered.

Although it seemed like the process had taken a long time, from Taro appearing, pressing his face, and flying away, to Di Orio struggling in the air, full of fear and suspicion, the entire sequence of events had only lasted a few seconds.

Taro's expression remained indifferent as he looked ahead. Everything around him, along with the ground below, turned into a blur, rapidly receding. His white Ki shield enveloped him as he held Di Orio's face with one hand, flying through the air like a rampaging dragon.

Taro's eyes shifted to the side as he noticed another powerful presence chasing after him. His expression remained unchanged, calm as water. Boom! His speed increased again, faster and faster, with the white Ki shield almost glowing red as it broke through the air!

Le Orio, who was giving his all in pursuit, suddenly looked even more unpleasant. His heart filled with shock and confusion: How is he so fast!? How can he possibly be this fast!? How can he really be faster than me!?

But it seemed to be the truth!

He couldn't catch up!

At that moment, the faint red light ahead, which had left him behind, finally came to a halt. The two of them slammed into a mountain range! Without hesitation, they crashed directly into the massive rock face!

Boom!!

The earth shook with a thunderous crash!

Naturally, Di Orio's body wouldn't be destroyed from such a collision. He was directly smashed into the mountain by Taro, crashing into the mountain at an angle, carving a path through it, as though he had slashed a huge wound into the mountainside. The mountain collapsed instantly!

A thick cloud of dust billowed.

Taro floated upward, his expression still calm. He didn't even glance at the crumbling part of the mountain beneath him but turned his head to look behind. He waited a few seconds before seeing the energy trailing him coming into view, quickly closing in—

Slap!

Le Orio suddenly halted above Taro, and a massive air current from his sudden stop transformed into a fierce wind, making Taro's clothes flap loudly.

Due to the high-speed flight, hot steam swirled around Le Orio. His face looked grim, his expression cold, as he stared intensely at the calm Taro.

Meanwhile, the detector on his head had already been destroyed, emitting a buzzing malfunction sound.

Le Orio reached up, crushed the faulty detector with his hand, and casually tossed it aside.

At this moment, Di Orio, whose battle suit had been torn apart, flew out of the mountain ruins. He was not surprised by Le Orio's arrival. Silently and with a grim expression, he flew toward Taro.

Le Orio also descended without saying a word, flanking Taro, trapping him between them.

"You're not an indigenous of this planet, are you? Who exactly are you?" Di Orio, covered in dust and looking uncomfortable, no longer wore the casual demeanor he had before. His tone was cold and sharp.

Taro's appearance was clearly different from the planet's native people, and he had not used any transformation magic to alter his appearance, so it was easy to recognize him.

"Who I am isn't important," Taro floated calmly between them, his expression indifferent, neither sad nor happy. "But since you two are here today, I happen to owe someone a favor... so you two won't be leaving here alive."

Le Orio behind Taro seemed to find this amusing. His lips curled slightly into a silent sneer, and then he shouted toward Di Orio, who was facing Taro: "This guy's asking for death, no problem for you, right?"

"You think so?" Di Orio, looking somewhat disheveled, cracked his neck with a snap. He let out a cold laugh. "This idiot talks big! He has a little power and suddenly thinks he's invincible, huh?"

Compared to the overwhelming power of Frieza, what were they? What was this person? In comparison to the power they gained from Frieza...

Their banter didn't affect Taro at all. He remained calm, floating between them with an unwavering expression.

Di Orio snorted coldly, his eyes flashing with killing intent. In the next instant, he became a blur, rushing straight at Taro.

Taro didn't even need to carefully observe Di Orio's attack. Almost as soon as Di Orio's punch tore through the air toward his face, Taro, like a ghost, shifted slightly in mid-air, and Di Orio's fist whizzed past his ear with a roaring sound.

One punch for one punch.

When Di Orio's punch missed, Taro's own fist had already struck his abdomen without warning.

The punch was hard.

And there was no escaping it.

The fist sank into Di Orio's abdomen, and Taro slowly twisted it...

Muken!

A terrifying explosive force surged from the punch!

Boom!

The punch, like a raging dragon, instantly pierced through Di Orio's abdomen, going straight through him!

A cloud of blood mist had barely flown from Di Orio's back when it vaporized, disappearing without a trace!

"Pfft!"

Di Orio coughed up a mouthful of blood, his eyes filled with disbelief. Taro withdrew his fist from Di Orio's body with an indifferent expression, then slapped him on the forehead. Half of his skull instantly shattered, and Di Orio fell limp like a broken ragdoll, plummeting toward the ground.

The exchange had been so brief.

Even if both of them had over a million in combat power... they couldn't withstand Taro's attack using Muken. Even though Taro had focused mainly on magic and mental power training over the past ten years, without much increase in basic strength, there had still been some growth, maybe around 10,000 or 20,000 more. Now, his combat power was around 210,000 or 220,000.

Ten times Muken.

One punch, one slap.

No excess combat, no fancy moves, just one punch, then one slap, and the battle was over. The leader of the First Special Operations Team, a warrior with over a million combat power... was pierced through with a punch and had his skull shattered with a slap. His body fell.

Taro's expression never wavered. This result... seemed to have been anticipated ten years ago.

Without turning around, Taro stretched out a hand behind him—

Slap!

He grabbed the fist that came from behind him and calmly turned to face Le Orio, who had a dark expression on his face. In a calm voice, Taro said: "Don't rush... it's your turn now."

---

In space, aboard the disc-shaped spacecraft.

Frieza gazed into the pitch-black void of space, his cold expression as usual. Suddenly, his mind moved, and a flood of telekinetic energy spread out. The next second, a beating heart, appearing from nowhere, floated in front of him.

Staring at the powerful beating heart, Frieza remembered how, when he destroyed that planet on a whim, that wretched survivor, in a desperate attempt to cling to life, had discarded all pride and begged him on his knees like a dog...

A playful smile appeared on Frieza's face: "Insect... I haven't made progress here yet. Have you... found a way to kill me?"
