Knox was now done scaring his kobalt's, so he removed his mana allowing them to get back to their normal lives, well atleast for now.
So as Knox focused back on his work, he had thought up a plan, he knew that by using Dungeon shaping.
That he would easily be able to build a habitat for his kobalt's, and also at the same time, a place which would protect his core.
It would be a place that the kobalt's could build a village, a place they could call home.
So knox began using dungeon shaping, he created a stairway down to his first floor, in the middle of his core room.
Seeing that the stairway barely cost him any mana Knox knew he would be able to succeed in his plan.
So as Knox started shaping the large area at the bottom of the stairs, he saw his progress was going quite well, an so he kept going at it, he was not taking a single break.
...….Time was quickly passing by…..
Before Knox had knew it 2 days had past, and he was so entranced by the process that he didn't realize how much time had passed.
Knox looked at his 3 kobalt kin, who had during his time of sculpting the floor, found a abundance of lumber.
They even found twine and many small berries, rabbits and other miscellaneous things.
The 3 kobalts sat at the entrance of the cave they were eating and standing guard of their temporary home.
Knox watching this decided that since his children were fine and safe that he could spend more time on his kobalts home and also finish first real floor.
———————————————————
After another 3 hours had passed, the basic shape of the floor was almost complete, Knox started off with a simple circular area.
It was a decently large area its size was around 5 km, Knox noticed that the floor was very dark and basically all stone.
It was basic but it was good enough, and he knew that it would be large enough, to give them a place to grow in numbers.
And that once it was completed, it could properly home hundreds, atleast once the kobalts gave it the finishing touches.
Back to knox's perspective...
Knox thought to himself.
"So…. How am I going to make this livable"?
He decided to experiment a little bit, he wanted a sky for his kobalts home, so that they wouldn't have to leave as often,
And he knew that if he wanted to build homes underground, that the kobalts would need sunlight.
So he also knew that if they were going to properly protect him that he needed to add a proper artificial environment and atmosphere.
So he then used most of his mana, about 650 to create a fake sky and sun, leaving Knox exhausted and needing to rest for the remainder of the day.

Waking up on his third day of creating the kobalt floor, Knox decided to plant some grass to allow for animal grazing.
He then used some of his mana to speed up the growing process of the grass, and what was left in front of Knox was a perfectly even grass filled floor.
Knox looked all across his now beautiful first floor, which looked similar to a natural grass land especially with the artificial sun
And the even artificial sky, made it seem like it was outdoors.
Knox felt proud of himself, he knew soon he would be done with the floor, and could allow his new tribe to move in.
All that was needed now, was a lake for his kobalts to get water from, and also to fish from, majority improving their quality of life.
So Knox started using the skill dungeon shaping, digging a large hole in the middle of the floor.
It had only took knox around twenty five minutes to finish the hole, looking at the pit, it could home thousands of aquatic creatures.
He had dug it so that as you would go deeper towards the middle, the deeper the pond would become, at its deepest it would be 60 feet deep.
After Knox had built the outline of the pond he then built 4 small rivers connecting to to the pond leading to each of the four directions.
Then Knox decided to add some water, he used some of him mana, which created a void whicg was releasing the water.
Which slowly floated out of the void, filling the large pit quickly, it had cost him a decent chunk of mana, but for Knox it was worth it.
Knox had noticed that while the lake looked great it was missing quite alot of key things including "life".
Knox knew that while he could create many things using his mana, for him to create a perfect ecosystem here it would take some help..
Well knox knew that he would need his kobalts, he needed them to collect certain items, so that he could reproduce them here.

Knox then began to do the real hard work, sculpting the stone walls of the floor. He felt that his first floor his time and effort, it deserved a special theme.
So Knox went with what he was comfortable with, he decided to carve images of many landscapes into the rocky terrain.
And after two days of careful carving, he had shaped a natural rocky landscape into the walls, which was made simple due to his skills.
A rough but elegant scene was formed, the stone was smotthly carved, leaving it as smooth as marble.
Knox looked around, and now seeing it all together, admired his hardwork, it had really spruced up the floor.
Knox seeing his mediocre work thought.
"Well while its not amazing, in a world like this… it shouldn't be too terrible".
Now that he was done with his work, Knox felt like it was a perfect time to show his little friends to their new home.....
