Dungeons, Idiots, Treasures, How Hard Can It Be?

The massive shadow revealed itself to be Idol who managed to awaken from his spark form.

Idol moved forward and placed Volhcard on his back wherein Yuni scoffed while rolling her eyes.

"You're way too... How do I say this? Loyal."

Idol shook his head in response to Yuni's words before she walked away towards a clearing with a crimson trail on the ground.

It wasn't blood yet it had the smell of one, and the sight of this crimson trail annoyed Volhcard as he knew many things of the world.

Yet this one specifically had him perplexed due to the fact that there was no signs of mana, it wasn't blood even if it had it's scent, and the fact it just looked unnatural.

"Idol can you scan what that trail is?" 

The machine's singular blue eye scanned through the trail getting each detail from it... Idol studied the trail to a molecular, and tiny particle of mana just to only understand it somewhat.

"Master, the trail it is a combination of blood, mana, and crystalline aura." the information he got from Idol shook Volhcard so bad he had forgotten who he was for a second.

Seeing the horrified look of the dwarf, Yuni walked over to him with a expressionless look on her face.

"So what is it that's got you so horrified?"

"The trail it is of a Volantrian... For only a Volantrian has blood, mana, and crystalline aura within them!"

His hands held tightly around the staff while he looked at Yuni who finally had the emotion of shock.

"Aren't the Volantrians extinct?" 

Volhcard didn't answer her question due to the fact he was still processing the information, and where on Relisquae would a living thing have not only just blood, mana, but also crystalline aura of all things.

Crash!

His plane of thought was shattered when he saw rocks break, and something heavy hit the solid floor. When he turned his head to where he heard the crash a arrow near struck him in his left eye.

A skeleton horde of around 200-240 was in front of him. Many were holding on to their limbs as weapons, some actually had weapons like swords, bows, hammers, and axes.

But what surprised him the most was Yuni holding on to her injured left arm. It was twisted and contorted in different areas, from the bone down to the muscle.

Seeing the pool of blood created from her left arm, Volhcard knew that those undead skeletons in front of him were not to be underestimated.

The skeletons rushed towards them in a feral frenzy with all their weapons aimed at their vital points.

"Protect... Defend... Morduun!"

Once Volhcard slammed the staff down a massive transparent wall appeared in front of them blocking all the undead from getting in.

"Fuck!" 

Yuni coughed up her own blood while she looked down at the blood on her right hand... Her eyes followed her pool of blood to her twisted left arm where a small piece of bone was poking out.

Seeing the injured Yuni, Idol quickly went over to her. His singular eye scanning the left arm on how to heal it back to normal.

Panting, Volhcard felt himself go weaker with each second passing by as he held the barrier in place. 

Undead growling with each strike reverberating throughout the cave while Idol scanned through Yuni's left arm, and Yuni herself cursing everything including her own friends if she even considered them as her friends.

"Electrify... Combine... Morduun!" 

Right as the undead struck the barrier a line of electricity shot out of the wall instantly killing most of the undead.

However even with that attack more came from the broken wall which made Yuni more furious then she was earlier.

She ordered through gritted teeth while placing her a dagger in her mouth. Her teeth holding on to the handle as to not let it fall out.

"I advi-"

Before Idol could finish speaking they could feel something tugging them back.

"Just let her do what she needs to be done."

Volhcard tiredly grabbed on to Idol's legs as he held himself back from passing out.

When the barrier dropped down the undead rushed through like a raging river however they were a blocked by a dam.

A dam that could never be broken, a dam that had fury within them that was about to be unleashed.

Limbs were flung into the air like fireworks, blood dropped like rain, and the breaking of bones reverberated like a harpy's screech.

All with one dagger, and it was inside Yuni's mouth as she held her left arm with her right.

Fwoosh!

Flames flashed through the horde of undead allowing Yuni kill more as she barraged through.

She spun her body dodging multiple arrows as she stabbed the dagger in skull of a undead before throwing said undead to a group of undead archers.

She let out a growl while using her body as a ram towards another group of undead. Feeling her bones slowly crack, and her muscle contract from the pain she lent out a horrific scream.

Blood poured down her forehead while she tightly clenched the handle of the dagger in her mouth with her teeth.

Boom!

An explosion happened in front of the dazed Yumi while her eyes dilated, and feeling herself slowly pass out she fell to her knees.

She then felt two palms on her back knowing it was Volhcard she let him continue to heal her wounds.

"Master we should head somewhere safe!"

Called out Idol while slamming both his fists at the undead whilst healing Yuni he also slayed some with his staff.

"Gods gracious giveth me strength so I call upon thee for your help." 

Volhcard's voice shaking while also fighting keep himself conscious while the undead slowly close in on them.

"Burn brighter than the sun, destroy more than chaos, freeze more than winter, bleed more than thorns, converge and diverge, I call forth... Morduun!"

The same chant but with more charge into it than before as the winds collided into the staff, flames, lightning, and even ice surrounded the core of the staff.

Instead of combining they diverged that is if you weren't a powerful mage to understand the concept of converging, and diverging chaos and creation.

"Move out of the way, Idol"

His hair including his clothing was flowing from the intense force of the spell, and hearing the strict cold tone of Volhcard's voice. Idol immediately went behind him as the spell reached its climax

Suddenly, light vanished as well as sound as if the Gods decided to erase those two concepts from the world.

And in just an instance all of it came back as the force of the spell came crashing through killing all undead... Even breaking reality for 0.1 second causing the skin of both Volhcard, and Yuni to vanish as well as the metallic body of Idol to also decay.

All of it came back to normal when the spell finished, bones were splayed across the ground in a mess with small shards of reality also dropping on to the dusty rocky ground.

With that Volhcard passed out, and Idol immediately went towards him. His passed out body still cradling Yumi's unconscious body.

The machine at that moment felt two emotions that being, fear and relief.
