Chapter 28: Cursed Child
Yuni looked at the entrance of the club she was recommended to, and seeing it made her feel disappointed.
It looked like a normal club unlike what the barman had described to her, so she felt scammed which made her somewhat furious.
"First time, madam?"
A deep voice spoke to her when turning her back she looked at a bulky 7'4 orc who wore a butler's outfit.
His tusks were quite long showing that he was quite old, and his skin a dark grey combined with the long messy hair of his it made him look very experienced.
"You the bouncer?"
Yuni looked up and down at the orc who had a calm expression with professional smile on his face. His hands were behind his waist before bowing and speaking in much more professional manner.
"Indeed, madam. I am Gulrok, Lady Anastasia's butler, and this club's one and only bouncer."
That name Anastasia was very familiar with Yuni, but she couldn't pin point where she had heard such name.
"Well I have one simple question, orc."
"Ask away."
She moved closer towards the orc closing the distance between them. A murderous glare on her face as she spoke, her voice venomous and cold.
"You seen a humanoid female mole rat?"
The race was so specific it caught the orc off guard causing him to lose his professionalism for a split second. Seeing the wavering in the calmness, and in response she placed a dagger next to his neck.
"Sorry for being so threatening. It's just I'm quite mad so answer my question with a simple yes or no."
All this threatening came from the simple fact she was furious of the situation. Yuni hated the "false" professionalism she was currently seeing right now, and because of that she wanted to end the orc.
But she knew very well that killing this orc without a good enough reason can end her chances of finding Aralia.
The thought of letting down Sticky was something she hated more than Aralia, and more than people controlling her.
"Madam it'd be best if you relax. Would you like to release all that stress out in the arena?"
The orc's voice was still almost too calm even combined with the almost emotionless look on his face; it had made Yuni very uncomfortable. Her tightly gripping the handle of the dagger which she pushed nearer into his throat only made the orc raise his left eyebrow in response.
At the moment it felt like time had stopped and it was only these two in the world. Feeling her right hand go numb from the tightness of her gripping the dagger's handle she let go before taking a step back.
"Well come on show me in."
She spoke whilst taking placing the dagger back into her cloak; the butler opened the door revealing the loud sounds of music being played the mage bards, the sounds of men chatting away, and the sounds of sex in all around the corners.
Following the butler they passed through the many customers who gave Yuni an eye, for they thought she was a new worker for the club. After arriving at a crimson door. Her vision blurred in an instant.
She then fell into the arms of the butler who opened the door and tossed her in the darkness.
"May the Gods protect you."
He bowed before closing the door leaving the area for it to emerge into a completely different place.
....
Whoosh!
Caladel instantaneously sliced the minotaur's head whilst his mind was in dissaray from the revelation that he had witness. He was covered in blood from the mountain of corpses he had created from the beasts he killed.
Minotaurs, golems, goblins, and even wyverns were all stacked atop each other.
His hands shook before tightening his grip around the handle of the broadsword and placing it over his back. Looking over his left shoulder he noticed a red hooded figure run deep into the dead forest.
"A child?"
Confused, Caladel followed the figure into the forest. The trees dead with the branches almost like bony fingers stretching up the sky to rip it apart.
The air was cold with a eerie whisper to it combined with the ground which was damp almost as if with each step he would be absorbed.
Crack!
In an instant he turned his head to where the sound was only to see a horrifying sight. A two headed giant who was grotesque in form was eating two half's of what was once a elf.
"Rot curse.. That means a rotmancer is nearby."
He noticed that the giant had a dark green liquid almost acid like drip down from its mouth. It's left around much more bigger than its right, and its teeth were sharper than the tusks of a orc or ogre.
The giant tossed whatever remained of the elf aside before readying itself to charge at him.
Fire crackled in and out of the broadsword that Caladel slowly took out of his back.
As soon as he held the broadsword with two hands it was engulfed in blue flames. It slowly had sky blue colored crystals start to form around it which resembled crystalline aura.
Both of them rushed at each other, and right as they were about to collide. The broadsword was swung towards the giant's left arm which was used as a ram by the giant.
When the broadsword cut through the left arm it had also exploded on impact wherein the blue flames moved up the giant's body.
Simultaneously, the giant struck Caladel by his right eye with the other arm that was smaller, but due to the thick mana shield around his body it barely did any damage.
He placed more force into the strike causing the broadsword to go further up his left torso before stopping at his neck. In response to the killing blow, the giant opened its mouth revealing something emerging.
It was blue, cold, and had a very powerful force to it. The moment Caladel realized it was a bit too late to dodge causing him to use his left arm to take the hit of beam of ice.
Swish!
After his left arm was frozen he immediately fired back with the broadsword slicing clean through the giant's jaw. It let out a roar of anguish whilst dropping Caladel to the ground who rolled out of the way.
Seeing the giant in pain allowed Caladel to deliver the killing blow wherein he jumped into the air while swinging the broadsword down to the top of its skull.
When the broadsword touched the top of its head; he made sure to kill the giant by putting so much force it sliced all the way through killing the giant.
A small gust of wind swirled around his feet allowing him to land softly. Whoosh! Hearing the sound of footsteps behind he used his now unfrozen left arm to stop whoever was behind him.
Turning his body to look towards who he had grabbed by the neck it was the same red hooded figure from before.
Now having a good look he was somewhat surprised to see it was a female girl by what he assumed to be 11 or 12 years old.
"Why do you know necromancy and its sub techniques rot?"
When asking the girl she simply stayed silent before trying to stab him with a rusted dagger.
He swiftly swatted the dagger away before dropping the girl to the ground.
"Answer my question."
His voice was stern yet also somewhat gentle even if he had a expressionless look on his face.
Right after he spoke a horrifying presence was behind me. However, when turning his head behind him nothing was there except for a dead tree.
"Die!"
She screamed out with a two green circular glyphs of magic on both her hands appearing.
The tree contorted to reveal a sadistic grin and two crazed which was followed up by its branches twisting into horrifying fingers.
"You need to learn your manners, brat."
He said whilst slicing the tree in half with only his left arm. When looking back at the girl he saw a horde of rotten trees behind her.
"You're dead from the orders of Lord Aldir!"
Instantly the rotten trees behind her were all sliced while Caladel was now in front of her with a furious look. Gritting his teeth he aimed the broadsword at her face readying himself to plunge it.
"Why the hell do you work for him?!"
