Chapter 20: Chapter 20 Demon
I woke an hour later feeling refreshed, renewed, like a new man. I woke up amongst the corpses of my fallen enemies, the undeads that stood in my way. I stretched my my body feeling blood flow from my finger tips to the tip of my wings. W-wait.....wings? I looked behind me and there were two leathery, bat like wings attached to my back. Panicking, I walked towards one of the many stores glass windows. Looking in the mirror, I saw a tall, handsome, black haired man with glowed red eyes and two black horns adorning his head.
'Status.' I shouted in my mind and the interface appeared infront of my face.

'I'm a demon.' I thought surprised, shocked and frightened. I don't know why I felt that way, I had a feeling something like this would happen. I knew deep down that this would be the end result sooner or later. I remember wishing, hoping that maybe demons weren't as bad as everyone made it sound.
[Demon: These are tier 3 unholy creatures that walk the path of profanity. These creatures are native to hell but they sometime live on Earth disguised as humans.]
That description didn't reassure me in the slightest especially with the mention of words like 'unholy' and 'profanity'. But maybe the new skills would help.
[Demonic Energy Manipulation: As a demon demonic energy flows throughout your body filling it with power. Using this skill you will be able to better control this power.]
[Compulsion: Using this ability you can impose your will on creatures weaker than you are by looking in their way.]
[Contract: This skill allows you to make deals with other sentient creatures.]
[Demon Transformation: This skill allows you to transform into your true form as a demon increasing your abilities.]
[Hell Fire Affinity: [Hell Fire] is one of the most powerful flames in existence and is native to hell. The flame was once pure and radiant but over time it was corrupted by the sins of humans and became dark and searing hot. You have an affinity for [Hell Fire] arts allowing you to create and shape hell fire.]
Reading through the skill descriptions I still felt a bit uneasy but thankfully there was one good thing. Focusing on the [Demon Transformation] skill all the information I needed to know appeared in my mind. Suddenly I was covered in a black mist and when it cleared I looked as I did before, human. Looking at the other skills I could sense the instinctive knowledge in my mind on how to properly use these skills. I opened my hand and a dark orange flame appeared in my palm. I was surprised at first then happy that I got a new weapon in my arsenal. The flame was as hot as a normal flame but I knew instinctively that the more I used it the hotter it would become. Making sure that there were no horns, wings or tail to be seen I made my way towards where the others were waiting.
"Why can't we leave that guy is probably dead by now?" I heard a voice coming from the entrance. I recognized the voice as the guy that threw the knife at me.
"He's not dead, look let's wait for another hour and if he doesn't turn up we can go in and look for him." I heard Claire's voice.
"Go inside and look for him, are you insane there are zombies in there and you guys won't even give me a gun for self defense." The man said anger evident in his voice.
"Screw this let's just take the bus Kirt and leave these fools here." Said a guy. I didn't recognize his voice so he must have been one of the guys I rescued on the third floor along with the knife throwing guy, Kirt was it.
"No you won't." This time it was Tim that spoke.
"Move out of the way or I'll...." The same guy started to say but suddenly stopped and shivered. He turned around and was met by my red eyes glaring at him, I could see the cold sweat dripping down his face and I said in a voice laced with venom.
"Oh cat got your tongue, I wonder what were you were gonna do if he didn't move, I'm curious?"
"I....I...I...." He stuttered.
"Speak up youngman, where is that spunk you had just a few minutes ago." I said but he continued to stutter and I looked at each of everyone of them and the one's I rescued from the third floor quickly averted their eyes.
"Sorry for taking so long there was a lot of zombies up there." I said my eyes finally settling on Claire.
"Thats ok, let's just get out of here I'm already tired of this place." She said
I was also tired of this place so I quickly rushed everyone into the bus.
"Where to now, sir?" Asked the designated bus driver. And I replied with a smile on my face.
"City B."
