DxD: Lost in Time

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Thoughts Of The Future

He had woken up the next morning, getting ready for the day. He took a walk around the yard in his home while in deep thought.

'If my memories serve me right, this could be the world of DxD. What has left me confused is the reason why I am so behind canon.

Judging by the fashion and the language perhaps it was hundreds of years before canon. Maybe during the Civil War since devils openly attacked us five years ago.'

He paused in front of a sakura tree. The leaves fell from the tree, landing on his toned body. Some found their on his golden hair. He lay down on the grass and continued his thoughts.

'I should copy moves from some anime I have seen in my past life. The Kamehameha, Destructo Disk, a couple of Kidos and many others. The problem with Kidos is that they operate on Spiritual power.'

'Damn, I still have work to do.' He decided to stop frustrating himself, that's just giving himself a headache. He closed his eyes and began circulating his Ki and learning about the pathway system.

'I should adapt the cultivation system, it's the only system I know of with a sure path to immortality. I should first think of the best one that I will be able to manage.

I don't know how I will get the resources for things like the Open Heaven Realm from Martial Peak. I could create my own system too but that is gonna be a pain, It may even be risky.'

After thinking for sometime he decided to take a nap for a few minutes, it was pleasant for a while before he abruptly woke up.

His nose scrunched a bit, picking up the scent that left his mouth watering. The smell of .

He walked towards a certain direction, took a left turn before finding the source of such exquisite aroma. He found his mother clad in a purple kimono.

"What is this you are cooking mother?" I asked while moving towards her.

"Oh, you have already arrived here. Your infatuation with food never ceases to amaze me." She chuckled a bit.

"Food is food mom, you can't live if you can't eat." He said with a sigh which made her raise an eyebrow.

"Who told you such a lie."

"My stomach said so."

"Ookay?" She seemed tired when he said it in a matter of factly tone. One could see she was smiling wryly.

Such an exchange is commom between the two. At first she was caught off gaurd with his modern day antics but she has come to accept. That was just how her son was like to her.

He finished his meal along with his mother while they had chat.

"Mom, have you ever thought of leaving the city?"

"Not really, I do not have a business nor do I desire to anywhere else besides. This has been my home for years."

"And it always will be, the reason why I asked is because I need a sword to practice with."

"Hisashi, where are you getting these ideas?"

"Well, I have seen some people coming to this village and threatening us with those. It is only fair that I do the same."

"*Sigh* Why did the gods gift me with such a reckless child."

'Hey, I am not reckless at all.' Geeze, every anime fan wants to wield a sword while facing their enemies. He was getting one as well.

He could not get swords like any Zanpakuto, Artoria's Excalibur, Avalon, all these things do not exist in this world. However, he was going to try and get a sword as powerful as them in his very own hands.

He just needs a blacksmith who can achieve such a feat and he is ready to go. He should get a blade to practice with though before he can handle such a delicate blade.

"You should at least find someone to teach you the arts of the sword, otherwise, you might fall on it instead."

"Blasphemy!!!" He could wield a sword just fine and he was confident enough in using it in a battle so long as it is not mythological. If it is....

'Maybe mom's statement will prove to be true, I do not want my thoughts in that direction.' He laughed wryly at the fact that he was disagreeing with his own words.

Not that what he said is false, he was not sure if he could use mythological weapons yet. He is not in a rush for all these things.

"Instead of denying facts you should help me with the dishes."

"When did you get lazy."

"IDIOT!! I GAVE BIRTH TO YOU!!"

"Okay, okay, I was just fooling around." I chuckled at myself seeing her with a slight frown. Annoying people is satisfying. He was abruptly hit on the head

"What is your head made of? Bricks?" She held her glowing red hand with teary eyes, something he could not have the joy of watching since she currently faced away from him.

"I inherited everything from you." I commented blankly

"I was never this hard headed." She now faced him with one eyebrow raised.

"I will go and complete the task you have given me mother." He went outside and closed the door behind him.

"Oww! Okay, something is going on with that child." No matter how much she thought about, a person's head shouldn't be that hard let alone a child.

"I better get to the bottom of all this." She was now suspicious, her son does wierd thing on a daily basis.

He is capable of what an adult can do, so his physique is extraordinary. He once accidentally punched a whole through a tree. She initially thought her child was just strong, but today.

Having skin that thick is exaggerated to say the least. This was a second occurrence, one when she slapped hit his shoulder and the other was today.

Meanwhile, the culprit is currently sitting under a tree, he held his chin his eyes were narrowed.

"Huh, I don't have the ability to make myself thick so what does that mean? Maybe I am actually awakening." That was the conclusion I could reach. Howelse can I explain this?

The thought of such a thing actually happening made my blood boil in anticipation. I was not eager to wait but I had to.

"I better start my session." I started meditating. Hours passed yet I could not sense the passage of time. I felt at ease for the first since I came to this world.

Not only that, I can feel something flowing, or rather, circulating within my body as well as my soul. I can't quite put my finger around it.

Alas, the quiet and serene atmosphere was ruined for me when someone came and shouted in my damn ears!!

"HISASHI!! GET UP AND LET'S GO!!"

"For crying out loud!! Why can't you keep your damn beak to yourself!!" I couldn't help but shout. I was in such a state for the first time, not to mention, it took hours.

Just by the frown on my face he could tell he was gonna regret it. Let's just say I saw a fault in how he functions so I gave him a hard reset.

"Ouch!!" By hitting him on the head of course so I can vent my anger on him.

"Maybe that will shake up your brain a bit you moron!!"

"I was just trying to wake you up... Wait, not on the face, not on the face." That made me smirk, already having an idea as to what I was gonna do with him.

He took a rope and walked towards him while occasionally tugging it which made him more terrified. A few seconds later he had his legs and hands tied, disabling his movements

"Now... Where is that stick?" He was looking for my stick with what he assumed was a casual expression while scratching his head. This made the other two sweatdrop at his behaviour.

"Demon." Asami silently whispered to

"Never wake him up while he is meditating." He replied to which they silently agreed.

They were not as stupid as he was, though Asami would admit she would have been in same position as since she had the same idea. Now she could reconsider her options.

"Please untie me! I won't do it again!"

"How can I be do sure, huh!? You are the noisy!!"

"I'll be quite, I swear!!"

"Hmph, your lucky I am too soft."

'Don't pretend to be an Angel after all that!!' They retorted in their mimds at the same time but had no backbone to actually voice it out.

"So, what did you guys wanna do?" He was untying Kazu as he asked that question.

"Well, we thought about red exploring the village for a while. Do you want to go?"

"Sure, why not." He said with a shrug. He has take a break from time to time.

"Let's go then!"

I first found my mom in the kitchen so I can tell where I would be. She was more than happy to hear that I could spend time with my friends instead of isolating myself. Ouch.

I was walking down the road with my friends. A multitude of scents assaulted my nose at some point. It was tooo much to process since there were so many stands. Takoyaki was the most recurring.

I could not stop my impulses at the moment, so I may have visited a few of those stalls.

The others watched everything with wide eyes, each spotting a wry smile.

"If we keep standing here, there won't be any food left for us."

"At this rate, the stores will close soon."

"A glutton, where the hell is all that food going. His stomach isn't bulging at all!"

"Beats me. I am just wondering why he isn't fat considering his eating behaviour."

Okay fine, maybe I went overboard with eating but who could blame me? It was an urge I have been holding back for quite a while. You may eat for survival but eating is my purpose.

Besides having to catch some heavenly beauties in this world. If I have to guess then we are in the 17th or 18th century so thats three or four centuries away.
