ELECEED INFINITY

After a while, when i was tasting different packs of cat food jiwoo bought recently.

I found him going outside, with kayden tucked in under his uniform.

Seriously? Not a word? You're just going to leave me behind??

I jumped through the window, wearing a black jacket to blend in the night sky.

I'm confident people won't be able to notice me.. I'll be extra careful..

"hey, is it alright not to tell her where you're going this late?"

"it's fine.. And i left a letter incase i took long.. It's not like were going somewhere far"

Walking in the quiet street of the night, kayden feel asleep after feeling so comfortable with jiwoo.

I was quietly levitating, and tailing them behind.

These jerks just go without even telling me something.. Unbelievable.. Jiwoo, how could you do this to you're own adorable little sister..

They to the vet, and i was laughing silentky after seeing what kayden is going through..

Suddenly he glared at me... Thats impossible.. At this distance? Probably just my imagination..

After that, jiwoo walked with kayden under his uniform again.

"thats a relief... " Jiwoo said, thankful nothing is wrong with kayden.

*tsk "relief? Hah!"

Huh.. Whats that?

In a dark alleway, a huge cat tgat is almost the size of a tiger slowly makes his way to jiwoo.

It looks weird.. And dangerous.. And weird.. And scary..

And it looks like kayden noticed it too "Hey, is there a monster cat in the neighborhood?"

"monster cat? What are you talking about?

-Grrrrr

Jiwoo turned towards the growling sound, in a dark alley.

There slowly appeared the monster cat.

"Wha-whats that?, is that the monster cat?, are you sure it's a cat? It looks more like a tiger... "

"I get a feeling that it's a cat, trust me i'm a cat now right?"

"But look at it's eyes.. It so scary.. Look at it's size too, it's practically a tiger.. w... what do we do?"

"what are you talking about? Why don't you use you're power?"

And for a moment, jiwoo was surprised as soon as kayden said that..

"h-how did you?"

And without a moment of notice, the monster cat jumped with it's sharp claw flying at jiwoo's face.

And without a moment of hesitation, i let out a small reversal red, flying towards the cat as it exploded at the moment of impact.

The power crashing the cat at the trash bin nearby and falling into unconscious.

I made sure that the power is under control at lower output as not to make a gory mess when the power exploded on physical contact.

A light sizzing sound was coming from the cat, small amount of smoke coming out as it's body turns smaller.

"What are you doing oppa! You could have gotten hurt you know"

"yoonji... What are you doing here?"

"what do you mean what am i doing? You literally left me behind so i tailed behind!"

"hey, stop.. We made a racket.. People will surely come here.. Lets go back!"

"oh right"

And as we began to move, jiwoo stopped in his tracks and looking back..

"oppa, lets go.. It's not dead.. I just knocked him out cold"

And the ever kimd jiwoo lift the now small monster cat.

While i carries kayden by my arms.

As soon as we got home, jiwoo puts the monster cat on the couch and gets the med box and quickly tended to the cat's wounds.

"phew, i did the best i could.. Do you think it's enough?"

"Ofcourse he's going to be fine, i controlled my power... He's just knocked called... I mean he might limp when he wake up, but he's far from dying... "

"still, i think you shoukd have lessen your power a bit more back there"

"I Did!, listen oppa, it was a spur of the moment.. It was either you or him" and i will always pick family no matter the circumstances..

"if mom is here, she'd be sure to give you an earful"

Kayden was focused i his thoughts.

-A cat turning like that? That abnormally massive build... A normal cat couldn't do something like that.. But if its an awakened...

Jiwoo, worried asks "anyway, he won't turn into a monster again right?"

"i don't know.. Ask the professional"

And we both stare at kayden, hopeful..

"I don't think he has the power to turn back, but i can't guarantee it.. What will you do if he wakes up in that monstrous form again?"

"ah, i'll deal with it"

Since he already saw me using it, and he doesn't seemed to mind.

Using blue, I pulled small objects in a sphere at the tip of my finget.. Only attracting light objects like dust's, crumbs and pencils.

Jiwoo freaks out "what are you doing!!, turn that off!" he said.

"relax, he can turn into a cat so i'm sure he's the same as us"

At the mention of power, jiwoo turns to kayden "oh yeah, about our abilities, Mr. Kayden, can you keep it a secret.. Please.."

There was a bit of arrogance of air in kayden, he said "who do you think i am? You think i'll blab about you being an awakened one?"

"awakened?" both i and jiwoo said in unison.

"whats that?" Jiwoo continued..

"you don't know what you are?" Kayden replies..

Weird thoughts is already running from my head, "do you mean were special? Could it be were a failed experiment? Half alien? Mutant?"

"Wow, you sure does think a lot of strange pictures.. Maybe something like mutant.. Yeah lets go with that.. In magical sense.. "

After a moment, kayden coughed as we sat, waiting for answer.

"just to be clear, you guys didn't know what an awakened is?"

We nodded, intently listening to his words.

"i see, you two didn't know you were an awakened... "

"Mr. Kayden, i have a question!" jiwoo raised an arm "so you are saying we are awakened? Thats why we have powers?"

"yes"

"I'm awakened? Does this mean there are others with powers like us?"

"ofcoyrse, you're looking at one right now... "

As soon as i heard the confirmation, i exploded with joy "I knew It!! No nir.al person can turn into a cat, and no normal.cat can talk... Unless you're an alien... Are you an alien?"

"shut up"

"Hey!!"

Just then, jiwoo teared up.

"uh... Huh? Huh?... You cryin?, Hey whats wrong with you?"

"ah- " jiwoo wakes from his thoughts..

I can't believe how emotionally weak he is..

Wiping his tears with his sleeve, "s... Sorry for crying.. I just thought we were weird.. Being different than others is... "

"ofcourse, you didn't even know what you are until now.. I heard it's not easy for people like you who don't know what they are... Well i guess this doesn't apply to everyone"

Kayden then gave me a strange look. "what?"

"when our mom found about our power, she told us to never use them"

Ah, i know this.. Years ago..

When we were playing with other kids, they freaked out and started calling jiwoo a monster.

This is something like social trauma right? Thats why he is quiet all the time and never made the effort to make friends in school.. The moment the others found he was different than them.. All that built up friendship suddenly dissapeared..

They looked at him differently..

We often move places because of these powers.

"i didn't talk about it because i didn't want my mom to worry, but i was terrified.. Maybe i was sick or maybe i wasn't human.. I wad afraid, the moment they got a wind of our power... We will be taken away to a lab and dissected if they found out... I started to tear up when i realize that there are others like us.. It's not a desease after all.. It's real power, what a relief"

"I'm telling you, stop overthinking this.. " I tried comforting the sobbing big brother..

"oppa"

"yeah, as annoying as she is.. You shoukd listen to her, this is nothing to cry about.. "

"hey, you're just as annoying as me"

"says the one who doesn"t know how to keep her mouth shut"

The night continued as kayden explains what an awakemed individual is..

When suddenly..

Kayden perks up as if feeling something.

'whats this energy.. I didn't sensed it coming because of my current state.... This energy doesn't feel normal"

Then the monster cat wakes up, and escapes into the night of the city.
