Chapter 9: Chapter 9 You Are So Kind
"What should we do next? Is my grandfather completely cured?" Gu Xueqi's voice came through, interrupting the conversation between the two.
Zhu Hong smiled awkwardly. Only then did he realize that it was inappropriate to talk about learning medicine at such a moment. If it delayed saving someone, he couldn't bear the responsibility.
"Send him to the hospital for routine treatment. He should be able to come back in two days. At that time, I can help him with the Blood Flowing Technique and prescribe something for him. That should solve the problem," Qin Hao said casually.
For him, this condition was nothing serious and was quite easy to treat.
"Thank you, Qin Hao," Gu Xueqi said gratefully.
"Thank you, Divine Doctor."
The others also spoke up. They were all members of the Gu Family, and Old Sir Gu was the pillar of the Gu Family. If something really happened to him, their family would suffer a severe blow.
Zhu Hong directed the doctors and nurses who came with him to carry Old Sir Gu out and take him to the hospital.
The rest followed, while Gu Xueqi was left behind. She knew Qin Hao, who seemed to be Qin Hao's teacher, so she was asked to entertain Qin Hao.
"No need actually, I also live here, right next door," Qin Hao pointed to his own villa.
This surprised everyone. They knew that the villa next door had been sold, but they hadn't expected the owner of the villa to be this Divine Doctor.
Gu Xueqi hadn't expected such a coincidence that Qin Hao was her neighbor.
She also felt somewhat relieved. If it weren't for this, perhaps her grandfather really wouldn't have been saved.
Eventually, Gu Xueqi still stayed to entertain Qin Hao.
Everyone left, and Qin Hao patted his stomach as a rumbling sound came, making his old face turn slightly red.
"Huh?" Gu Xueqi was somewhat astonished.
Qin Hao chuckled dryly and said, "Actually, I came out to eat."
Although it had only been for a short while, both Qin Hao's True Qi and energy had been consumed quite a lot, making his already hungry self even hungrier.
Gu Xueqi displayed a sudden expression of understanding, waved her hand with a smile and said, "Come on, I'm treating. We can eat whatever you want tonight; don't be polite with me."
"Okay."
Qin Hao wasn't being pretentious. After all, he had just saved her grandfather's life. Having a meal wasn't too much.
Qin Hao chose a very big restaurant nearby, which made Gu Xueqi cry and laugh. Qin Hao was really not being reserved at all; this was the only five-star hotel around.
They found a spot in the main hall, ordered nine dishes, mostly big dishes. This meal probably would cost several thousand.
"Teacher, this month's salary is almost eaten up by this meal. If I run out of living expenses, you better watch out for the little shoes I'll make you wear," Gu Xueqi glanced at Qin Hao and said with a cold laugh pretendingly. Of course, she was joking. With her grandfather revived from near death, she was in a much better mood.
Qin Hao's face stiffened, then he grimaced and said, "Then let me treat."
Seeing his pained expression, Gu Xueqi couldn't help but laugh out loud, "I was joking with you."
"I was joking too. Waiter, bring a bottle of '82 Lafite, and if you don't have it, bring whatever is expensive," Qin Hao snapped his fingers and told the waiter.
"Yes, sir," a waiter responded.
Gu Xueqi's face darkened; this guy really wasn't holding back.
They didn't have the '82 Lafite, but the waiter brought over a very expensive red wine and placed it on the table.
Qin Hao opened them, then placed them all in front of Gu Xueqi.
"What do you mean?" Gu Xueqi's eyes widened.
Qin Hao had an awkward expression but still honestly replied, "I don't drink alcohol."
"What?" Gu Xueqi almost spat blood. This guy doesn't drink, yet he ordered such a bottle of wine. Although she wasn't short on money, she still felt that Qin Hao was ripping her off too much.
"Red wine is beautifying, and someone as beautiful as Mr. Gu should drink more of it," Qin Hao explained.
"I don't drink alcohol either," Gu Xueqi muttered.
Qin Hao was dumbfounded. The two looked at the table full of dishes and then stared blankly at the bottle of red wine.
"Forget it, let's eat," Gu Xueqi said, a mix of laughter and tears.
Qin Hao shrugged, and they both started on the dishes on the table, but although this was a meal from a five-star hotel, it was hardly delicious.
"The taste isn't great. When you have time, come to my house, and I'll cook for you," Gu Xueqi said with a smile, having already put the red wine incident behind her.
Qin Hao had a strange look on his face, and he didn't say anything.
At that moment, Gu Xueqi also suddenly realized the implication of her words. Her face turned bright red as she hurriedly explained, "Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean that."
"What do you mean?" Qin Hao asked innocently.
Seeing that Qin Hao seemed not to understand her implication, Gu Xueqi suddenly relaxed.
"It's nothing." Gu Xueqi quickly waved her hand, asking Qin Hao not to think further about it.
"Mr. Gu," Qin Hao suddenly called out.
"What?" Gu Xueqi responded, somewhat puzzled. What did Qin Hao mean by addressing her so formally?
"You are really nice," Qin Hao said earnestly.
Gu Xueqi rolled her eyes at Qin Hao, really wanting to raise her little fist and punch him.
The atmosphere at the table was a bit subtle, and neither of them spoke again. Qin Hao also felt that maybe his joke had gone a bit too far.
Just at that moment, a group of people walked in. Leading the pack was a young man in his twenties, looking gallant and imposing.
When she saw this person, Gu Xueqi's expression slightly changed. She suddenly grabbed Qin Hao's arm and whispered in his ear, "Do me a favor, help me block this guy."
Qin Hao glanced at the young man, nodded, put down his chopsticks, and was about to stand up.
"What are you doing?" Gu Xueqi was puzzled.
"I'm going to break his legs and throw him out right now," Qin Hao said as if it were the most natural thing to do.
Gu Xueqi was dumbfounded. That wasn't what she meant at all.
"No, just pretend to be dating me, and make sure he doesn't see through it," Gu Xueqi whispered.
"Fine, I'll make a sacrifice," Qin Hao thought for a moment, then agreed with a troubled face.
Gu Xueqi felt stifled. Was she really that bad? Qin Hao seemed so troubled by it. If she didn't need a shield, Gu Xueqi would have loved to kick Qin Hao to the ground and trample him right then and there.
