Chapter 335: Su Yen becoming a slave
Su Yen appeared on a stage with a fuzzy head. He had just passed through a chaotic spatial gate and was trying to recover from the not-so-pleasant journey.
Just as he was trying to recover from the spatial lag, he heard a deep voice.
"Ah! Another one has arrived," a deep voice said with a laugh.
Hmm?
Su Yen blinked his eyes twice and then noticed a group of men dressed in ordinary clothes.
He noticed a man in a somewhat better robe than the rest and knew this must be their leader.
"Boss, he's so handsome," a man missing his two front teeth said with a deep grin.
"I can see that," the Boss responded and pointed at him. "Chain him, and let's continue our journey."
Su Yen was stunned for a couple of seconds. 'Where the hell am I?' he thought.
When he arrived, he had noticed he could not summon the spiritual energy in his body. It was like a chain was binding all the spiritual energy in his body from circulating.
Upon discovering this, he frowned slightly and then his expression returned to normal.
"Where am I?" he asked.
The Boss looked at Su Yen with a confused expression. When others arrived, they were always panicked and nervous. However, this strange handsome man was too calm for his liking.
He creased his brow and responded, "Boy, welcome to Blue Crystal City."
Two men came to him and chained both his hands and legs with evil smiles on their faces.
"Move!" one of them shouted.
Without uttering a word, Su Yen followed them. He looked at the chain and found it was not an ordinary chain. It was covered in strengthening runes, making it virtually impossible to break.
The Boss entered a carriage and the group departed slowly. Su Yen noticed he was not the only one in chains; in the distance, he saw hundreds of people in chains.
Their faces were haggard, without any vitality. From their faces, Su Yen knew they had all given up on life.
He wondered what could make them have such a lifeless expression. But soon he got the answer.
After walking for more than an hour, they arrived at a mine filled with thousands of people in chains. Each of them had a lifeless expression on their faces. When they saw Su Yen's clean robe, they shook their heads in pity.
The Boss came out of the carriage and led them to a specific tunnel. At the entrance of the tunnel, five guards stood with long spears.
"Boss Hao, you're back," one of the guards said with a deep smile.
"Ayah…Captain, you're here today," Boss Hao responded with a light smile on his face.
He took out a small pouch from his storage ring and gave it to the guard captain.
"Ah… I knew Boss Hao wouldn't treat us badly." The guards grinned and left without looking back.
Looking at the departing backs, the light smile on Boss Hao's face was long gone and was replaced with a deep frown.
"Don't worry. It's only a matter of time," he mused and looked at his slaves, shouting, "Get them into the mine right now. Do you want to waste my precious time?" He barked at his men.
Quickly, all the slaves were pushed into the tunnel and were given a pickaxe and a strange small box.
"Sissy, get into the tunnel and mine like your life depends on it." The man with no teeth slapped Su Yen on the shoulder and pushed him inside the tunnel.
The tunnel was dark with little light, but the men did not find it difficult to walk in the tunnel.

Su Yen was brought to a corner of the mine, and the man shouted, "Your target is five crystals. Failure…" He flashed his empty tooth and grinned evilly before leaving.
Su Yen looked at the man and shook his head. He looked at the mine and found a strange pulsating energy throughout it.
He touched the mine wall and found it was not just an ordinary rock. It was something Su Yen had never encountered in his life.
"Interesting," he mused.
He looked at the pickaxe and the small box and found that they were also covered in runes. The runes were different entirely from the runes known in the barren land. However, runes and formations all had the same underlying logic.
He threw the thought of runes and formations out of his mind, looked at the mine, walked to a specific corner, and hit the pickaxe on it.
After striking the hard wall three times, it cracked, and a shiny bluish crystal appeared before him.
With ease, he picked the crystal and threw it into the box. He did not need to look at the crystal to know what type of crystal they were mining.
He looked at the massive tunnel with various sounds of axes reverberating through the mine and sighed.
"Space Crystal!" he muttered, and a light smile appeared on his face. "Who would have expected what looks like misfortune for others to be fortune for me?"
Without hesitation, he moved from one corner to another, mining the space crystal. The five allocated for the day were placed inside the box, but he did not stop and continued mining.
After working for six hours, the toothless man came and yelled at Su Yen, "You, are you done?"
Su Yen did not utter a word and gave him the box. Taking the box, the man creased his brow and opened it. Feeling the slight fluctuation in space, the man was shocked and looked at the calm Su Yen in a daze.
"Hahaha. You learn quickly." He laughed and waved at him. "Follow me to meet the boss."
Outside, a makeshift tent had been set up, and Boss Hao was leisurely enjoying himself.
"Boss," the toothless man called happily.
"What?" Boss Hao shouted in anger.
"Look…" He showed him the five shiny space crystals. "This is from the newbie."
"Really?" He widened his eyes and looked at the quiet Su Yen with a bright smile.
"How did you do it?" he asked, getting up on his feet.
However, what he got was a quiet stare from Su Yen. But instead of getting furious, he was pleased and asked his men to give Su Yen a strange purple pill.
Su Yen took the pill but did not use it immediately.
After another two hours, the other slave miners came out of the mine with haggard expressions. Some even found it difficult to move.
Boss Hao's men did not care about them and checked their boxes for how many crystals they had mined. Those who mined five crystals were safe, but those who did not were severely beaten and were not given the purple pill.
After the group departed from the mine, returning to the city, Su Yen, among the slaves, was in anticipation of the Blue Crystal City.
