Evolution: Start AS A Raft

19. Weapon System

[Host: Raine]

[Vessel: Small to the medium-sized double-planked boat]

[Cabin: 1 (crew barn)]

[Crew Size: 5 (assignable positions, open for details)]

[Ship Speed: 6 knots maximum (open for details)]

[Combat Power: 18 (can be viewed in the crew information and weapon system)]

[Load Capacity: 447.8/3000 kg (open for details)

[Evolution points: 5.3/500 units of wood 0/100 kg of iron]

The new ship has a much more imposing shape than before, with a hull length of eight meters and a width of just over three meters. The bow and stern have been strengthened again, with thicker planks and improved stability.

The change in appearance is secondary, and the most important thing is function!

The load capacity has tripled again! To a staggering three tonnes!

The cabin of the old ship was built by Raine and was very simple, similar to a canopy, but the cabin of the new ship is like a small wooden house, about three meters long, slightly narrower than the width of the ship, but at least two and two-thirds meters.

This is where you can really live and store your supplies!

Also, the boat speed is doubled straight away to 6 knots.

Raine quickly opens the ship speed submenu.

[Power Equipment 1: Oars*2]

[Power Equipment 2: Wooden Hand Crank Thruster*4]

[Power System: Artificial Power]

[Boat Speed: Power Equipment 1: No statistics on boat speed. Power Equipment 2: Maximum boat speed is 6 knots (1 knot = 1 nautical mile/hour = 1.852 km/hour). Actual speed is based on the operator's operating effect]

The hand crank thrusters have become four, but the weight of the hull has also been at least doubled, so the speed of the boat has only doubled.

But even so, Raine is very happy with the maximum speed he can achieve.

After reviewing this information, Raine also noticed another huge change: the combat power, which had gone straight from 5 to 18!

After opening the crew information, Raine first noticed that Arsan's combat power had skyrocketed, from 0.5 to 3.5 now!

"The info panel just tells me to check the crew info and ...... weapon system?!" Raine reacted at this point. He had a weapon system now!

Only he didn't seem to see any weapons on board.

"Open the weapon system!"

There was only one item in the weapon system.

[Name of weapon: Wooden spikes on the bottom of the bow]

[Combat Power: 10]

[Number of Weapons:1]

[Weapon Use: Method 1, can hold up the spikes for impact when closing in on the enemy. Method 2, you can shoot the spikes through the ejector. (Spikes can be recovered after ejection or refilled by consuming 1 wood, firing spikes with a range of 30 to 50 meters, effective against wooden, unreinforced ship bottoms only, and against g-rank undersea monster)]

Raine immediately adjusted his perspective and immediately spotted the wooden spike that was temporarily hidden in the bottom of the ship, which popped out at once with a single movement of his mind.

Putting it away was a little tricky though, requiring Avril to turn the hand lever they had put on to activate the gears and put away the wooden spike.

"Easy to put up, a bit hard to put down ......" Raine wondered, "That means that in a real fight, I have to hold this thing up and ram it into the enemy? "

Raine had a strange picture in his head. It always felt odd.

"Forget it, whatever. I'm a man with a stick now anyway, and, yes! It's 10 combat power!" Raine was thrilled. It was the equivalent of firing twenty Avril at once!

Another epic super-evolution, no doubt!

The four people on the ship were slithering back and forth through the wear without feeling crowded, and everyone was looking here and there in excitement.

"Wow, Captain, you turned out to be so good, I've never seen such superb craftsmanship, and it's so fast!"

"Simply shocking! With a big ship, we can take on all the transport tasks in the trading market!"

Raine laughed calmly, "That's not all! This is just the beginning. Follow the captain well. We can become even stronger later!"

"Yes, Captain!" Avril, Terry, Arsan, Armin, and White all stood at attention, each with hopeful looks on their faces.

........................

From a small raft to a giant... small to medium-sized plank boat, Raine felt a lot of emotions.

Although the boat is still rudimentary, with an outdated power system and a somewhat awkward weapon system of a stick, he has nevertheless completed three evolutions! From initially relying on scavenging for resources to going to deserted islands and hanging around the trading market as a drudge, it has progressed by leaps and bounds.

The new ships have also made Raine look forward more and more to the following ships!

"Right now, I'm still on a mission to collect timber. The next level will be 500 fucking timber. That's too much!" Raine pondered in his mind, "And for the first time ever, the next evolution will require iron!"

"Right, there are other resources, clay, and stuff... The bottom of the ship still needs to be reinforced. The previous clay is no longer usable."

"The cabin I made seems to be working, so I can give Terry and White barely enough room to live... Hey, the ship has gotten bigger, and the resources needed have also increased."

"Looks like it will be long before we can evolve by hanging out in the trading market."

It was getting late, the sea was smooth, and Raine planned to go back in a few days; otherwise, it would be hard for others to see that Avril's ship had become like this all of a sudden.

Just say she'd changed boats a few days later.

Arsan has been eating a lot lately, four or five times as much as the others at one meal, and with the idea of developing the war effort somewhat, everyone is keeping a tight rein on her first.

During the two days of rest, Avril and the others caught some more fish in these waters to keep in reserve.

On this day, as everyone was busy catching fish, Arsan squirmed up to the bow and said, "Captain, I... I want to go for a swim, is that okay?"

"Go ahead. You're fine now anyway, don't go far, be safe."

"Yes, Captain!"

Taking off her coat, Arsan jumped into the water with a plop and disappeared with a dive.

However, after ten minutes or so, Arsan was nowhere to be seen!

Now everyone panicked, and all leaned on the side panels of the boat, calling out, "Arsan! Arsan!"

"She's fine. She's down there playing." Raine said faintly, "She seems to be able to change her air underwater. I think her gills are growing."

"Growing gills... Arsan didn't even tell me that." Terry shook his head woodenly.

Raine said it was fine. Naturally, Raine could see into the sea, and everyone still knew it.

About ten minutes later, a figure suddenly emerged from the water, and Arsan came up, swimming excitedly to the side of the boat and raising her right hand, "Look what I found!"

The crowd rushed around.

In her hand, Arsan was holding a white pearl, slightly larger than those in circulation in the market.

"A white pearl?" The crowd was amazed.

Avril hurriedly said, "Arsan, the bottom of the sea is still too dangerous for you to pick up again! And there's too much pressure at the bottom of the sea. Your body won't be able to take it."

Arsan laughed, "Sister Avril, I just happened to pick this one up by chance, so I'm lucky. It's too deep for me to go down there now."

"Oh, that's good." Avril breathed a sigh of relief.

White pearls came from the bodies of mussels and clams in the ocean, only they weren't all that easy to find, and the sea floor was very dangerous, which was why it worked as currency.

It hadn't expected Arsan to be so lucky as to find one here.

Raine was on the sidelines, his eyes wide.

Okay! Though only one pearl, it's always a nice thing for free!
