The knights were pushing back their opponents very quickly. Still on their side was numerical superiority, although on the side of the enemy was a huge number of ordinary people, but it did not save them from the four hundred mages of the King. The most unpleasant thing for the enemy was that many free mages not related to the King, also sided with the knights and helped to suppress the rebellion.
A little further away from all this turmoil, two A-rank mages and about fifteen B-rank mages were fighting against the seven A-rank mages of the King. But there was a similar situation there as well, as the B-rang mages could do almost nothing to help and were quickly killed by the stronger ones.

"Too easy, don't you think?"- Rick said, looking around the battlefield.
"Just as I thought, it's just a diversion to keep everyone here while the main forces storm the palace..."- Eros spoke with ease as he fought off the men attacking him. After all, most of them were C-rang weaklings or ordinary humans, while the B-rangs were busy attacking the carriage where the Queen and Princess were. So Eros decided to leave the barrier for now leaving only Lily in it.
The titan did not want to leave a bad opinion about himself, because he still had to live in this country, so he decided to help in some way. Mostly he destroyed only mages, and left the ordinary people to the guards, which was very easy to cope with them, and the fact that among them there were also mages made things much easier.
Not even five minutes after it was over, the knights quickly regrouped and at that moment the carriage opened and a woman came out of it. She had light, wavy, green hair that reached to her shoulders, as well as green eyes with long lashes and thin eyebrows. She wore a white dress with a neckline that emphasised her breasts and white shoes. In her hand she held a little girl who was no more than a year old.
- Queen, please go back inside, it's dangerous! - excitedly exclaimed the knight, whose armour was completely white, you could see at once that it was of much higher quality than the others.
- No!" she said in a firm voice, "Arcadius, I order you to return to the palace immediately and help my husband!
- I cannot, my lady, the King has strictly forbidden me to return until he has dealt with everything! - So please return to the carriage.
- Arcadius! You're not going to do my bidding! - the woman exclaimed angrily.
- 'I'm sorry...' he lowered his head.
- If that's the case! - she looked at the crowd gathered behind the rows of knights blocking her way and said:- I am Yuki E. Fiore, I swear to repay all those who have helped protect me and my daughter today, and I ask again for your help, please help my husband, who has stayed in the palace to deal with the traitors who intend to kill him and take the throne. My husband has been ruling for decades, and in that time he has never once behaved dishonestly towards the citizens of his kingdom. He is an honest and just man, and I ask you to protect him.
After her words, there was silence throughout the street until one of the townspeople began to clap, followed by a second, third, fourth, fifth... Until it was all encompassing.
- It's our Queen! What a magnificent speech!
- We'll help you, Madam!
- FOR THE KING!
Everyone began to chant these words, cheering her on. Such a sight brought tears to the Queen's eyes.
Eros also looked at her in a different way. After all, he had seen the wives of counts and dukes many times already, self-confident, arrogant... They always disgusted him, so Eros did not try to get a title, because then he would have to communicate with this rabble. And lost nerve cells regenerate too slowly, but it would be hard to get rid of the grey hair.
Looking to his right, his eye began to twitch. All three of his 'allies' were currently chanting "For the Queen!" with everyone else, and were directly raring to go into battle. Apparently he would have to get involved after all.
As the crowd moved towards the palace, Eros' three companions followed, and he had to pull them back by the scruff of their necks.
- What are you doing?
- Come on, Eros! We have to help her! - Rick exclaimed in a firm voice.
- Yeah, let's help her," Lily said with teary eyes, trying to push Eros's pity, but it hadn't worked for a long time.
- We won't get into the thick of the battle.
- Are you sure? It would be very dangerous, you could lose your life," Eros said in a more serious voice.
- But you're going to hurt us..." But before he could finish, Rick got a slap on the wrist, "Why?!
- No reason," Eros shrugged, because he didn't know why he did it, maybe because of Rick's stupid behaviour, or because of his insolence... There were many reasons, - Alright, but stay close to me, especially you, Lily and Rani, I don't have to worry about that fool.
- Who are you calling a fool?!
- You, now come on.
Ignoring something Rick shouted, Eros surrounded the whole group with the barrier again and they followed the crowd as well.
No one tried to get close to them, as many had seen how the barrier worked, though some tried to talk to them, but Eros ignored them completely.

At the same time near the palace many strong mages were fighting each other, but no one was able to get into the palace. Only when they got close to it, they were quickly killed before they could realise anything
Every kingdom has its own secret defenders, and the kingdom of Fiore has a secret organisation that executes those who sneak into the palace. This is the Order of the Hungry Wolves, a secret organisation serving the Fiore Kingdom. They guard the Palace of the Abyss, acting as executioners for all criminals caught there. The Palace of the Abyss itself is the underground catacombs beneath Mercury Palace, as well as its second name.
The Order of Hungry Wolves do not obey anyone, they have the right to choose what they want to do. And at the moment, they are guarding the palace without allowing anyone to enter. Even the A-rank mages who are subordinate to the enemy can't do anything. Of those eleven mages who participated in the rebellion, only four are still alive, the rest have already died trying to enter the castle. And of those four, two of them escaped, realising that their lives were worth more than a title and money.
At that moment, a stomping sound was heard from the west, and it was immediately recognisable that a huge crowd of people was approaching the castle.
- Hey Kama, more cannon fodder will be arriving soon..." grinned a large, chubby man, holding a bottle with unknown contents in his teeth.
Because of the shadows covering the five, it was possible to see only their silhouettes.
The large crowd reached the palace and began to attack the enemies, causing Kama's emotionless face to reflect an emotion such as surprise.
- What's going on, yazi?!
- Apparently they decided to help, what are they shouting...? "To the Queen?" - said a slender girl of tall height, with long waist-length hair tied in two ponytails, -Mistress managed to get the support of so many people... -singing in a slightly excited voice, the girl sang.
-Kama, why are you frowning so much... although you always frown, but now you're frowning unusually hard, did you see something interesting?

Just reaching the palace, the whole crowd with a cry of "For the Queen!" rushed into battle. Attacking everyone, not caring if they were mages or mere humans. They were injured, fell down, but the next moment they were up and fighting again.
Eros looked at his friends who were watching the carnage with tension. On Lily and Rick's faces there was only fear and disgust, for they were just ordinary children. They saw how people killed each other, how blood poured out, how knights without arms and legs asked for help, but no one paid attention to them, and their enemies killed them.
Even though they had lived a few years in slavery, but that could not be compared to this.
Lily looked at all of this with horror. Compared to what she saw on that street, it was like heaven and earth. After all, because of the large number of knights and mages, and the interference of free mages and townspeople, they had done with little bloodshed. But here was a real battlefield, where there was no pity or compassion. Only Rani held his temper, but even he was tense.
- You wanted to be here," Eros said with a slight smile, "How is it, are you afraid, do you want to escape?
Rani, seeing the smile on the titan's face, froze and got angry at himself, because he was a grown man, scared again. He gave himself a mental smack, but he pulled himself together and looked at Rick, who was trying to calm Lily, who was trembling with her face buried in his chest.
- This is a battlefield and someday we may have to be on it again, so look, don't look away.
- Eros, stop talking nonsense! You're scaring Lily! - Rick exclaimed angrily.
In the next moment, Lily raised her crying eyes and looked at the Titan's firm gaze. It didn't last more than ten seconds and with a nod, she shifted her gaze back to the battlefield.
- Eros...!
- Shut up!" the titan looked angrily at Rick, "Let him watch, we can't live in peace forever, understand, people are too different and there will never be peace and someday, our guild may have to participate in such a thing again!"- he mentally conveyed to Rick alone.
"But..."- But when he saw the serious look in Eros' eyes, he turned away angrily and put his arm around Lily, stroking her head.
The Titan realised that he was being cruel, but once Lily got over it, she would be much stronger.
As Eros pondered this situation, a cold sweat covered his back. He felt someone looking at him... That look was like a hunter looking at game. And it wasn't hard for the titan to find the source. It was a gaze that he felt from the side of the palace where the five dark figures were. It came from the man standing in front of the entire group.
When the titan met his gaze, he saw surprise in it. Eros only smirked and showed him his tongue. The titan turned his back and ignored him completely, and he did not react to the killing intent of the man.
