since I got married its been a while seen l saw or spoke to my parent and plus the baby shower is fast approaching, l had to see my parents

"Good morning family" l greet while dashing into the dinning table

we all collect to eat in silent, l couldn't take it anymore so l spoke up. "mom and dad you didn't even acknowledge my present".

"Ruth what bring you here" my dad finally spoke to me

"I came to visit dad"

"visit, you haven't done that in over 6 month, you don't pick our call not call back you don't even text back. I thought you don't want us anymore".

"mom, dad is not like that. Am truly sorry, you know l will never intentionally do that, there is an explanation for that".

"did that bastard ask you to ignore us" my brother chipped in

"watch your mouth, andrew" mom spoke

"sorry, did your husband ask you to Ignore your family" he asked again

"no, I was going through some problem, l didn't want you to....." I started acting emotional

"it okey" dad stopped me from speaking any further

"how is the baby" mom asked

"baby, fine,how is work"

"family l came special today to inform you all about the baby shower happening in less than a month".
