Chapter 18: Chapter 18 Why Don't You Resist?
In the darkness, a red glow flickered between his fingers, now bright, now dim.
Lian Xinying really disliked men who smoked, yet, he made even the act of smoking look handsome.
Beyond handsome, he gave her the impression of being unpredictable, never knowing when he might explode.
The closer Lian Xinying walked toward him, the more she felt a chill rushing at her.
"What did you mean by the text message you sent me? I have things to do tonight," said Lian Xinying, standing beside him, her soft, watery eyes fixed on his perfectly handsome profile.
His chiseled features were like a work of art, smooth and flawless.
After she spoke, he pinched out the cigarette between his fingers.
The next second, he opened the car door and forcefully pushed her inside.
With a 'bang,' he climbed into the driver's seat and shut the door.
"Hey! Stop throwing me around as if I'm some object! It hurts!" shouted Lian Xinying, annoyed, from the position he had shoved her into.
She lay on the passenger seat, her feet pointed in his direction, her stillness making her seem endearingly vulnerable.
"You said you had things to do tonight?" His voice was cold as ice.
"Yes! I have things to…"
"Heh, what things do you have to do?"
Lian Xinying climbed up from the passenger seat, her mind in complete disarray.
When she said she wanted to leave, Uncle Li grabbed her hand and wouldn't let her go.
Only when she mentioned she was on her period was she able to break free.
She indeed felt the danger.
..."
Tears began to swirl in her eyes, her pitiful, teary eyes coupled with her stubborn little mouth could drive a person mad with frustration.
The strength in his fingers increased slightly, and it felt as if her chin would be crushed.
"Then I don't need to be hypocritically polite to you anymore.
As he finished speaking, his slender fingers moved toward her delicate legs.
She intended to keep moving, but she pushed him away in disgust.
"Don't touch me! Get away from me!" Lian Xinying tried to push away his arms, but it wasn't easy.
It was as if he was testing how strong she was.
Only when Lian Xinying smelled blood did she suddenly freeze and release her bite.
"Why aren't you fighting back?!" Lian Xinying bit her lip, her large, expressive eyes glaring at him in anger.
Just a minute ago, she had seen him as a bad guy who was about to assault her, but the next second, she felt a pang of guilt.
"In my eyes, you're about as harmless as a newborn baby. If I have to make an effort to fight against even you, then all these years have been wasted," he said.
