Chapter 55: Chapter 54: Wife in the Act
Lin Anyi felt panic welling up in his chest, and he almost instinctively took a step back.
"Why can't you be a little more obedient?" Alechino's voice was low and hoarse, carrying an undertone of dissatisfaction and anger.
Lin Anyi's eyes darted toward the sharp blade of the sickle, hovering less than a foot away. A chill ran down his spine. He swallowed hard, his voice trembling slightly as he tried to sound calm.
"Alechino, calm down first. We can talk about any problems..."
Although Lin Anyi's tone betrayed his lingering fear, he felt a faint sense of relief when Alechino didn't press the attack. From their interactions, he could sense that her feelings for him were genuine. That gave him hope that she wouldn't actually harm him.
He could tell Alechino's actions stemmed from losing control after her heated exchange with Fernina. She had tied Fernina up in a fit of rage, but surely, she didn't harbor real hostility toward her... right?
No, Lin Anyi shook his head internally. That thought was naive. Considering Alechino's history of deception and manipulation aimed at Fernina, it was hard to believe there wasn't some deep-seated malice behind her actions.
As Lin Anyi met Alechino's slightly reddened eyes, he realized he needed to handle this carefully. From the way she had spoken softly to him earlier, asking for his understanding, it was clear she wasn't beyond reason.
Taking a deep breath, Lin Anyi decided to defuse this volatile situation with words.
"We've already talked this through. Since the issue isn't one of irreconcilable hatred, why don't we both take a step back?"
Alechino's expression turned complicated. Her gaze lingered on Lin Anyi's face, as though she were weighing her options.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally lowered the flaming sickle, the dangerous weapon vanishing as she slowly stepped back. Lin Anyi exhaled deeply, relief flooding through him.
But just as he thought the crisis was over, Alechino's voice cut through the tense silence.
"Lin Anyi, you only need to agree to one more request of mine, and we can write off today's matter."
Lin Anyi's heart sank. His voice, laden with nervousness, quivered as he asked, "What is your request?"
Alechino smiled—a smile that carried a firm resolve that allowed no room for refusal.
"Live with me," she said.
"What?" Lin Anyi froze in place, disbelief written all over his face.
Her request echoed the one she had made earlier during their conversation in the bedroom. But now, Alechino was framing it as a condition, seemingly forcing his future onto a path she desired.
Yet the issue was clear: Lin Anyi was already Funina's boyfriend. Her demand wasn't just outrageous; it was a blatant affront to his moral boundaries.
He already felt a gnawing guilt over everything that had transpired behind Funina's back. And now, Alechino wanted to push the line even further—forcing them to live together openly? It was unthinkable.
Lin Anyi's mind churned with turmoil, his emotions crashing like waves in a storm.
Meanwhile, Funina, still bound and watching the exchange in disbelief, was filled with a mix of shock and confusion.
"Why? Why does Alechino want to live with Lin Anyi? Could it be that she..." Fernina felt a surge of pain in her heart. Lin Anyi was her boyfriend, and she clearly had priority in their relationship.
Alechino remained silent for a moment. Seeing Lin Anyi's hesitation, her mood became more complicated. Slowly, she lowered her gaze, hiding a trace of disappointment deep within. But soon, she raised her head again, her eyes glimmering with determination.
In an instant, Alechino stepped close to Lin Anyi. Without warning and ignoring the surprise in his eyes, she suddenly reached out, pressed his head, and kissed him.
This kiss was completely different from the first time. Back then, she had been young and clumsy, thinking that simply pressing her lips against his was enough. Now, her kiss carried a mature allure, prying open Lin Anyi's lips and delving deeper, exploring with calculated intimacy.
Lin Anyi's heart raced. This sudden act of closeness left him stunned, far surpassing any expectation of resistance. He could feel Alechino's emotions—an overwhelming mixture of deep affection and unyielding determination.
Shock overwhelmed him as he felt Alechino's lips forcefully invade his space.
"What exactly does she want to do? Especially with Fu Nina here!" His mind churned with confusion and inner conflict.
Lin Anyi tried to struggle, but the gap in strength between him and Alechino rendered him powerless. His resistance had no effect. Instead, Alechino pressed him further against the wall, deepening the kiss.
Alechino either didn't notice Lin Anyi's resistance—or simply didn't care. Her hands gripped him firmly, holding him in place as her kiss became more intense.
Meanwhile, Funina, still bound, witnessed the scene in disbelief.
Her heart swelled with confusion and shock. After a brief moment of paralysis, reality struck her like lightning. Her eyes widened.
"Mm-mm-mm!!!" she whimpered in protest, her mouth sealed shut.
Her face flushed with anger as she struggled against the ropes. Finally, fueled by desperation, she managed to break free.
The moment she was free, Funina rushed forward without hesitation. Her singular goal was to save Lin Anyi from Alechino's grasp.
As she reached them, she shoved Alechino away with all her strength and pulled Lin Anyi into a protective embrace.
Her voice trembled as she asked, "Anyi, are you okay?"
Lin Anyi was momentarily stunned by Funina's courage—standing up to Alechino despite her overwhelming fear.
But there was no time to dwell on this. Quickly, he regained his composure, holding Funina tightly in return to reassure her.
He turned to Alechino, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and confusion.
"Alechino, what do you mean by this? Why are you doing this?"
"Why?" Alechino's lips curled into a charming smile. "Do I need a reason to kiss the one I love?"
She turned her gaze to Funina and continued with a teasing grin, "Funina's performance just now really surprised me. So I'm curious—can you push me away next time?"
Without warning, Alechino's body dissolved into a shadow, reappearing in an instant before Funina. In the blink of an eye, she had snatched Lin Anyi from Funina's arms.
When she appeared again, she stood on the other side of the room with Lin Anyi pinned under her once more.
This time, her kiss was slow, deliberate, and taunting. Her eyes locked on Funina with a mischievous glint, a clear challenge.
"Alechino, you're going too far!" Funina cried out, chasing after them in desperation.
