Finally, I Got Transmigrated Into Another World!

Chapter 11: Fate or Coincidence? (3)

"My name is Tristan. It has been ten days since I was transmigrated to this world and took over the body of an eight-year-old child. I've started to get used to living alone in this forest, surrounded by threats that could strike at any moment. I've felt fear, the joy of acquiring new items, the sad feeling when I met this body's parent, and the despair of battling weak goblins, but I've never experienced a feeling like this. I am so exhilarated at the thought of my upcoming fight with the orc leader. I don't feel like I will win, but I am as excited as I was when I once win at gambling."

Tristan shook his head, trying to clear his mind. "I must do everything I can, throwing, biting, rolling, spitting, whatever it takes, I must defeat this big pig right here and now!"

The crowd of orcs roared with excitement, eager to witness the clash between their leader and a mere human child. "Get ready, little creature! Bar your teeth; this is going to hurt you, hahaha!"

"You're so loud; we haven't even started fighting yet!" Tristan shot back, his voice steady despite the overwhelming presence of the orc horde.

"I'm coming!" The orc bellowed, charging forward with its massive axe in hand, a whirlwind of muscle and fury aimed directly at Tristan.

Tristan gripped his bone spear tightly, bracing himself to evade the oncoming attack. As the orc swung down with devastating force, Tristan swiftly sidestepped to the right, attempting to jab the spear toward the orc's head. Yet, the shockwave from the orc's blow reverberated through the ground, cracking it beneath them and disrupting Tristan's footing.

Caught off balance, he stumbled, barely managing to stay upright. The orc seized the opportunity, launching a swift upward slash aimed at Tristan's neck. In a split second, Tristan reacted, raising his bone spear to block the strike. The impact was staggering; the sheer force sent him flying backward, rolling across the ground several times before coming to a halt.

With quick reflexes, Tristan sprang back to his feet, determination flashing in his eyes. "That attack was heavy; no way an eight-year-old body could withstand it," he thought, feeling surprisingly unscathed despite the impact. The orc charged again, and Tristan prepared to hurl his spear at the beast's head to create an opening.

But the orc deftly sidestepped, avoiding the attack with a slight tilt of its massive skull, all while slowing its pace. Seizing the moment, Tristan dashed toward the orc, wielding his father's sword. With a swift motion, he aimed for the orc's ankle, slicing through flesh.

"Not bad, human. Now, try to withstand this!" the orc growled, clearly unfazed by the shallow cut.

Tristan's heart raced as the orc, now enraged, charged at him again. "What? Is it moving faster?" Panic surged as Tristan struggled to dodge the relentless onslaught. "It's quick, but I can still evade... But I need to create an opening. If this keeps up, I'll exhaust my stamina long before I can retaliate."

As he ducked and weaved to avoid the rapid strikes, Tristan directed his steps toward the pile of bone spears he had stashed at the cave entrance. Upon nearing the weapons, he leaped forward, rolling to snatch them up. With one hand clutching a spear, he readied himself to throw.

The orc noticed the incoming projectile, but Tristan was already prepared with a second spear in hand. The first spear sailed through the air, and the orc barely managed to evade it. However, Tristan had anticipated this move; before the orc could fully regain its footing, the second spear struck true, embedding itself deep into the orc's thigh.

The orc fell to its knees, letting out a guttural growl of pain. Seizing the opportunity, Tristan dashed toward the beast, intent on driving his sword into its neck. The orc caught sight of Tristan's lethal intent and instinctively swerved, but Tristan's aim wasn't its neck; he targeted its eye instead. With precision honed by necessity, he plunged the blade deep into the orc's eye.

The orc roared, "Aarrgghh! You lowly human!" It yanked the spear from its thigh, anger boiling over as it unleashed a fearsome bellow, "Growlll!" Its body flushed a furious red, radiating an aura of primal rage.

"Is that the ability I think it is? The berserker rage? Damn it, I should have anticipated this!" Tristan realized, narrowing his focus on the creature's throat. The orc, now fueled by fury, slammed its axe into the ground, charging at Tristan with its bare hands. "Crap! It's getting faster!"

Tristan's heart raced as he struggled to maintain his composure. He knew he had to act quickly. The orc's desperation and power surged through the air, a violent storm of ferocity threatening to consume him. In a heartbeat, he felt the tension crackling in the atmosphere, and he braced himself for the oncoming onslaught, ready to adapt his strategy in this brutal dance of survival.

The orc charged swiftly toward Tristan, its right fist poised to strike. Reacting on instinct, Tristan dodged to the side, narrowly escaping the initial attack. But before he could catch his breath, the orc swung its massive arm back, catching Tristan off guard. He barely had time to brace himself before the blow landed, and he was sent crashing against a tree with a resounding thud, the trunk splintering under the impact.

Blood trickled down Tristan's face, a grim testament to the orc's strength. His limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, the pain radiating through his body rendering him nearly immobile. Without pausing, the orc lunged at him, lifting his lower body effortlessly with one arm. Tristan gasped in agony as the orc's grip crushed his thigh and leg, making him feel as if they would shatter.

"D*e, you brat!" the orc taunted, a twisted smile spreading across its face as its skin returned to its natural hue. But in that moment of vulnerability, the orc's hold loosened slightly. With a surge of desperation, Tristan plunged the spear he had managed to grab into the orc's eye. The beast recoiled, releasing its grip.

As Tristan fell to the ground, he felt a primal instinct ignite within him, an unyielding force urging him to move. "Come on, damn legs, move!" he shouted at his unwilling body. Then, unexpectedly, a surge of mysterious energy coursed through him, lifting him back to his feet.

Regaining his composure, he inhaled deeply, drawing on every ounce of strength he had left. With renewed determination, he sprinted toward the orc, retrieving the bone spear embedded in its thigh. In a final, desperate leap, Tristan hurled the spear with all his might, the weapon piercing through the air and striking the side of the orc's head, driving deep into its skull.

The other orcs froze in shock at the sight of their leader falling, a wave of disbelief washing over them. They gripped their weapons tightly, the atmosphere thick with tension. Despite the pain coursing through his body and the blood trickling from his head, Tristan stood tall, his gaze piercing and unyielding, as if he could devour every last one of them with his stare. For a moment, the orcs hesitated, their resolve faltering. Then, as if compelled by an unseen force, they turned and retreated toward the river.

Tristan remained steadfast, watching them leave, his heart pounding in his chest. The world around him began to blur, darkness creeping at the edges of his vision. "I can't fall here," he murmured to himself, summoning every ounce of willpower to keep moving. Slowly, he made his way back to the cave, each step a monumental effort.

Upon entering the cave, the weight of his exhaustion finally crashed down on him. He stumbled, collapsing to the ground, the darkness swallowing him whole as he lost consciousness.
