From Murim to Metropolis

Chapter 6: Chapter 5

Jae Hoon: [With concern] "Jin, are you sure you'll be alright? Minjae's definitely up to something. Maybe we should leave quickly."

Seojin Lee: [Agreeing nervously] "Yeah, it's better if you avoid unnecessary trouble. Let's just go home."

[Jin Wook glances at his two friends, a warm smile spreading across his face as he thinks to himself.]

"These two always think about me… They've always been there for me."

Jin Wook: [Confidently] "Don't worry, guys. I'll be fine. Let's go."

Scene: Minjae's Manipulation

[Meanwhile, Minjae runs to find Dong Ha, her crocodile tears on full display. Dong Ha, a towering figure with an intimidating presence, leans against a wall with his lackeys. Known as the university's top bully, Dong Ha commands fear wherever he goes.]

Minjae: [Sniffling and dabbing at her fake tears] "Dong Ha! Jin Wook is back! He humiliated me in front of everyone at the cafeteria. He bullied me!"

Dong Ha: [Frowning, his voice laced with menace] "Jin Wook? That ugly bastard? He's back, huh?"

Minjae: [Nods dramatically] "Yes! And he's changed… but he's still the same loser deep down."

Dong Ha: [Clenching his fists] "Don't worry, Minjae. I'll take care of him."

Scene: Confrontation at the Gate

[As Jin Wook, Jae Hoon, and Seojin approach the university gate, they are suddenly surrounded by Dong Ha and his gang. Dong Ha's presence is overwhelming, and his group of lackeys block every possible exit. Minjae stands smugly behind Dong Ha, a twisted smile on her face as she points at Jin Wook.]

Minjae: [Dramatically] "That's him, Dong Ha! That's Jin Wook, the one who bullied me!"

[Jae Hoon and Seojin immediately step forward to defend their friend.]

Seojin Lee: [Firmly] "How can you stand there and lie like that, Minjae? We all know who the real bully is. It's you and Dong Ha who have always made trouble for Jin Wook!"

Dong Ha: [Laughing mockingly as he looks Jin Wook up and down] "Minjae, are you sure this is the same guy? He looks… different now. But deep down, he's still that same ugly bastard."

[Dong Ha narrows his eyes, his tone turning darker.]

"Alright, Jin Wook. I'll give you two options. One—get lost. Two—leave this bitch with me." [He gestures toward Seojin.]

[The air grows tense. Seojin's face hardens as she steps protectively closer to Jin Wook. Jae Hoon clenches his fists, ready to jump into the fight if needed. But Jin Wook simply stands still, his expression unreadable.]

Jin Wook: [Coldly, his voice steady] "You really shouldn't have said that."

[For a brief moment, an invisible pressure fills the air, causing Dong Ha and his lackeys to flinch. Jin Wook's bloodlust leaks out, though he quickly reins it in. The change in atmosphere leaves everyone frozen in place, their instincts screaming at them to flee.]

Dong Ha: [Stammering slightly] "What… what was that just now?!"

Jin Wook: [Smirking faintly] "I'll give you one chance, Dong Ha. Walk away. Take your lackeys and leave. Otherwise…"

[Jin Wook steps forward, his calm but unyielding demeanor making the entire gang take a step back. Dong Ha grits his teeth, unwilling to show weakness in front of Minjae.]

Dong Ha: [Snarling] "Don't think you can scare me, Jin Wook! Let's see what you've got!"

It feels like this scene is building up to a critical turning point, and a confrontation would solidify Jin Wook's transformation and strength. Here's an extended continuation of the scene:

Scene: The Clash at the Gate

[Dong Ha's challenge lingers in the air, drawing the attention of onlookers. A small crowd begins to gather near the gate, students whispering nervously as the tension grows thicker.]

Random Student 1: "Is Jin Wook really going to fight Dong Ha? He's crazy!"

Random Student 2: "He looks so calm… Doesn't he know how dangerous Dong Ha is?"

[Jae Hoon and Seojin glance at each other, worried but standing by Jin Wook's side.]

Jae Hoon: [Nervously] "Jin, let's just walk away. It's not worth it."

Seojin Lee: [Firmly, stepping in front of Jin Wook] "We're not leaving you alone here."

Jin Wook: [Softly, with a faint smile] "Don't worry. Trust me."

[He steps past Seojin and Jae Hoon, his calm demeanor unwavering. Facing Dong Ha, Jin Wook's sharp gaze locks onto his opponent's. Dong Ha, caught between anger and unease, clenches his fists and takes a step forward.]

Dong Ha: "What's with that look, huh? You think you've become some kind of big shot now?!"

Jin Wook: [Coldly, his voice low but carrying power] "I'm not the same person you used to torment, Dong Ha. This is your last chance. Walk away."

[Dong Ha's lackeys snicker, but their laughter falters when Jin Wook's presence suddenly shifts. It feels like a predator has entered the space, and the faint echo of his earlier bloodlust creeps back into the air. Even the onlookers feel their knees weaken.]

Random Student 3: [Whispering] "What is this…? Why does it feel so suffocating?"

Dong Ha: [Snapping, trying to mask his discomfort] "Stop trying to act tough!" [He lunges forward, throwing a punch aimed at Jin Wook's face.]

[Jin Wook doesn't flinch. In a blur of motion, he sidesteps the attack effortlessly and grabs Dong Ha's wrist mid-swing. The sound of Dong Ha's struggle echoes as Jin Wook twists his arm, forcing him to his knees. The crowd gasps, stunned by Jin Wook's speed and precision.]

Jin Wook: [Leaning in close, his voice calm yet terrifying] "You've had your fun for far too long, Dong Ha. This ends here."

[Dong Ha grits his teeth, his free hand swinging wildly, but Jin Wook blocks it with ease. With a final shove, he sends Dong Ha stumbling backward, landing unceremoniously on the ground.]

Random Student 4: "No way… Did Jin Wook just take down Dong Ha?!"

[The crowd erupts in murmurs as Jin Wook stands tall, his presence radiating authority. Dong Ha's lackeys hesitate, looking to their fallen leader for direction.]

Jin Wook: [Glancing at the lackeys with a piercing gaze] "If you want to take his place, step forward. Otherwise, take him and leave."

[None of them dare to move. Dong Ha struggles to stand, his pride shattered, but before he can say anything, Minjae storms forward.]

Minjae: [Shrieking] "You think you're so great now, Jin Wook? You'll regret this! I'll—"

[Jin Wook's sharp glare cuts her off mid-sentence. The crowd watches in silence as she falters, her confidence crumbling under his gaze.]

Jin Wook: [Firmly] "Stay out of my way, Minjae. This is your only warning."

[Minjae, flustered and furious, grabs Dong Ha's arm and drags him away, her voice trembling as she mutters empty threats. The lackeys follow, leaving Jin Wook standing alone with Jae Hoon and Seojin. The crowd slowly disperses, buzzing with excitement and awe.]

Jae Hoon: [Breaking the silence, laughing nervously] "Okay… remind me never to mess with you."

Seojin Lee: [Grinning proudly] "That was incredible, Jin. You've really changed."

Jin Wook: [Smiling faintly] "Thanks for having my back. Let's go home."
