Gacha Player: My Luck is Multiplied 10x

Chapter 6: Basic First Aid Skill

Kaiju's excitement clouded his mind. His body was shivering while ordering the Gacha System to perform another Rare draw.

[You have chosen to perform a draw…

The reward is being chosen…]

Kaiju waited patiently until a little bit over a second passed, the Gacha System's voice reverberated in his mind.

[The reward has been chosen!

You have acquired Basic First Aid Common Skill!]

Kaiju was filled with delight to discover he acquired a practical skill but he was a bit dismayed it was only a Common skill. Nonetheless, it was sufficient to obtain knowledge in basic first aid.

Similarly before, he was assaulted by an acute pain, supposedly, but his impassive face seemed to delude others he was not feeling a single thing.

When it entirely faded, he now learned how to treat injuries in the wild using natural remedies, such as binding wounds, creating salves, or using plants as antiseptics.

While he was at it, he utilized his Edible Plant Skill and was disheartened to discover that the wall of texts only consisted of comprehensive information about the plant regarding its consumability.

For instance, some part was poison but some was edible. With the information provided by the Edible Plant Skill, he could eat a toxic plant without problem as long as he extracted the edible and left the toxic part.

"It seems the Edible Plant Skill does not offer me information on the remedy property of the plant."

He utilized the newly common skill, Basic First Aid, and though he was not receiving a wall of text, his brain automatically provided him information of whether the plant could be used for first aid.

Even so, it was… negligible.

At the very least, he knew how to bind wounds and create salves – the process, however, not the ingredients.

He closed his eyes and breathed slowly for a long while.

"Alright. I should not let greediness take over me. It's already worth it. At least, it ensured my survival on this trial, hellish it is, for another level."

He nodded repeatedly.

He recalled he still had four Rare draws, but a question suddenly popped up in his head.

"It's fine to question the Gacha System, right?"

He mumbled, and as though the Gacha System heard it, she replied,

{Certainly! The Gacha System can provide answers to the host to the best of her ability.}

"So, are you a woman?"

{...}

{Yes, this gender has been chosen based on what you are attracted to.}

Kaiju furrowed his eyebrows.

He recognized the Gacha System's voice seemed to be a bit mature for a girl, so he asked if she was a woman. Of course, the Gacha System was correct that he was attracted to mature girls.

Nevertheless, why would the Gacha System impersonate a type of person he was attracted to?

That was strange, but he did not bother to ask since the question he had earlier was haunting him.

"Can you clarify to me what a Guaranteed Ticket is?"

{Guaranteed Ticket is ticket that guarantees the quality of the draw. For instance, if you have utilized the Guaranteed Ticket when you draw a Legendary draw, the reward will certainly be on Legendary Grade even if there was a low probability of drawing one.

Guaranteed Tickets can be earned through quests and spectacular achievements.}

Kaiju nodded his head in understanding.

"So, I was right. Indeed, this… this is…" His eyes sparkled. "Mind blowing!"

Kaiju enjoyed the euphoric moments for a while, and then fell into deep contemplation, analyzing how he should spend his remaining ticket.

"Certainly, obtaining Guaranteed Ticket should be difficult… even more so from the idea it was a draw-changing ability. So, I could only utilize it if I would be drawing Epic draw and above…"

He slowly led himself to a resolute conclusion.

"I'll be drawing three more Rare draws then, keeping the remaining one for later."

As a result, Kaiju excitedly performed another three Rare draws.

When the red and blue moon intersected, the moonlight they radiated became one. The world in the hellish trial became darker, the night provided more room for darkness to crawl in every corner.

At this point, even Snow hid herself behind her master, who was seemingly in a daze, not aware of the deep, purple light basking him.

Snow darted her eyes everywhere, lingering more on the shaded area that often sparkled with numerous cerise lights. She hissed from time to time, attempting to warn other beasts from approaching her and her master.

When she was just a Feral Rank beast, moving by instinct with meager intelligence, she might not pose any threat, but now, she was different.

She was a Savage Rank beast.

Although not much stronger compared to other monsters like living inside the burg and beasts traveling in packs, at the very least, she was still a menace to other beasts that might try to disturb them.

She peeked at her master and his raven eyes were still in a daze. She was perplexed by what he was doing, but she knew her master was busy due to the connection they had.

As a pet, it was her job to ensure her master's safety everytime the current situation occurred in the future.

However, it did not last long when her position was threatened.

Her senses caught something that caused a chill run down her spine. Her eyes instantly motioned to the left, catchin a pair of crimson eyes in the middle of two colossal trees, shading its presence from the purple moonlight.

A cold wind whispered on her ears, as well as pounding her with its chilling breath. The crown of trees above swayed, resounding a rustling noise that pulsated with Snow's racing heartbeat.

The pair of crimson eyes were growing closer, the leaves rustling intensified, the cold wind's temperature dropped… Snow's eyes narrowed, and hissed.

Falling leaves emerged in her vision, but it did not distract her.

She did not blink, still hissing, staring intensely at the pair of crimson eyes that was soon about to unfold its presence as it was growing closer.

At the same time, the crimson eyes elevated, and if it continued to do so, Snow assumed it had a towering body.

It would terrify her master, no doubt.

She has to do something.

She has to prevent the towering monster from scaring her master.

She slithered her body forward, acknowledging its size seemingly just a length of a finger against the towering monster.

But Snow did not intend to back down…
