Genshin Impact: The Crit Archon

Chapter 61: Unreconciled Star's Part 3

They return to Spring vale and learned one of the people had woke up, it was probably there doing by fighting the monster.

Aether looked at the man. "So um anything you saw in your dream".

The man looked at him as he spoken. "Just mountain that I was waking too".

Mona looked at him as she spoke. "Where you going somewhere"

The man looked at them as he spoke. "No, I just kept walking something was telling me to keep moving".

Aether remebers his own encounter with the Unknown God. "Did see a white void".

The man tilted his head as he spoke. "No just a white snowy face and a moutian and that is all".

Aether furrowed his brows as the man's words struck a chord with him. A snowy face and a mountain—those were vague details, but it seemed eerily similar to the void he had encountered with the Unknown God. He glanced at Mona and Fischl, both of whom were listening intently.

"Interesting," Mona said, her tone thoughtful. "It seems like the dreams people are having share some common elements, but they're also distinct. Aether, you mentioned a white void. This man describes a snowy mountain and a face. Could they be connected?"

Aether nodded slowly, his mind racing with possibilities. "The Unknown God... she mentioned something about the stars and being trapped. Could it be that these meteorites are somehow linked to her imprisonment?" He turned back to the man. "Did anything feel strange during the dream? Anything out of place?"

The man shook his head. "No, just the mountain. It was like I was walking towards it, but no matter how long I walked, I couldn't reach it."

Aether's thoughts swirled as he processed the man's words. A never-ending journey to a mountain... could this be symbolic of something? He couldn't help but feel like the dreams people were having were not just random—there had to be a deeper meaning behind them, something connected to the meteorites.

Fischl spoke up, her voice cutting through Aether's thoughts. "There is a certain inevitability in such dreams, yes? A mountain that cannot be reached, no matter how hard one tries. It sounds almost like a metaphor for something unreachable... perhaps a goal or an obstacle that looms over us."

Aether nodded, then turned to Mona. "What do you think? The meteorites are definitely linked to something, maybe something like this 'Unseen God' or whatever is tied to these strange dreams. Do you think there's a way we can trace them back to their source?"

Mona frowned, tapping her chin in thought. "I can perform some research, but my power is limited by what I know. These meteorites are unlike anything I've seen before. They have some kind of ancient energy, almost as if they've been here longer than any of us." She hesitated before continuing. "I think it's safe to say that we're dealing with something far more complicated than we realize."

The man, still standing nearby, seemed to be contemplating something. After a few moments, he spoke again. "I think I remember... after waking up, I saw something strange in the distance. A dark shape, like a shadow... it seemed to be watching me."

The group exchanged glances. Aether felt a chill run down his spine. A shadow watching him? It could be a coincidence, but Aether had learned by now that nothing was ever just a coincidence.

"Did you get a better look at it?" Aether asked.

The man shook his head. "No, it disappeared as quickly as I saw it."

Fischl crossed her arms, a determined look crossing her face. "Whatever it was, we cannot afford to ignore it. Shadows never appear without purpose."

Aether nodded in agreement. "I think we need to keep moving, investigate these meteorites further. Something tells me the answers are closer than we think."

Mona looked at Aether, concern in her eyes. "Are you sure you're ready for this? Whatever's going on with these meteorites, it's not just a small problem anymore. I can sense something... darker in the air."

Aether met her gaze, his expression resolute. "I'm ready. If there's something hidden behind these meteorites, something that connects all of this... I'll find out what it is. And I'll stop it."

With that, the group set off, determined to uncover the mysteries of the meteorites and the shadowy figure that seemed to be watching their every move. The journey ahead was uncertain, but Aether felt a strange sense of purpose burning inside him, one that could not be extinguished until he had answers.

The group kept walking, they started to investigate spring vale more, as then night came as they all decide to explore more of this in the morning as Aether felt the bed going to the dream land he then woke up in the white void again

Aether looked and saw the Unknown God again. "Hey there".

The Unknown God looked at as she spoke. "So outlander did you get any closer to freeing me".

Aether just looked at her, this he noticed something he didn't before chains was on her, these looked as white as the video, maybe this was the reason he didn't see it before.

Aether just looked at her a he spoke. "You are as clueless as me are you".

She looked away as she spoke. "I hate that you are correct".

Aether went to her as he spoke. "You know I call this karma, you trapped me for who knows how long, and now you are in prison, so wo trapped you".

The Unknown God looked at him as she spoke in embarrassment. "I don't know".

Aether just blinked as she spoke. "You don't know, Your don't know aren't you what the Queen of Celetsine".

She just looked at him a she backed away. "Wow that gave that impression, King Hector would destroy me if he heard that".

Aether raised an eyebrow at the Unknown God's reaction, a mix of confusion and amusement crossing his face. "King Hector? So you're not the Queen of Celestia after all?"

The Unknown God's expression shifted from defensiveness to irritation. "No! I'm not the Queen of Celestia, and that is NOT something I would claim lightly." She paused, crossing her arms over her chest as if to regain some composure. "I'm... something else entirely, something far less... dignified, let's just say."

Aether's curiosity piqued. He took a step closer to her, but he didn't reach out, keeping a respectful distance. "Then who are you really? If you're not the Queen, what's your connection to Celestia? And why are you trapped like this?"

The Unknown God sighed heavily, her shoulders slumping as if the weight of her imprisonment was taking a toll on her. "I told you already, I'm not some queen. I'm... an entity bound to this place for reasons that even I don't fully understand." She looked at him with a mix of frustration and resignation. "I don't know who did this, or why, but I was caught in a web of my own making, it seems."

Aether leaned against an unseen pillar in the white void, his mind racing. This is a tangled mess, he thought. She's not what she first appeared to be, and there's something more to this story. But why the lies?

"Alright, let's say you're not the Queen. But if you're truly stuck here, then what exactly do you want me to do about it?" Aether asked, his voice calm yet probing.

The Unknown God gave him a pointed look, her eyes narrowing. "I need your help, yes. But you're hardly in a position to demand answers, Outlander. You may be useful in freeing me, but you also might end up as another pawn in the game."

Aether smirked. "A pawn? You don't know me that well."

The Unknown God glared at him, her frustration evident. "It doesn't matter what I know, you're already in the middle of something you don't understand. These meteorites, the dreams, everything—it's all connected. And you're already tangled up in it." She paused, her eyes briefly softening. "But you'll need more than strength to get me out of here."

Aether stood still, considering her words carefully. "What exactly are you asking for? If you think I'm just going to blindly help you because of some cryptic conversation, you're wrong."

The Unknown God looked away, her chains shimmering faintly in the void as she spoke. "It's not about what you think, Outlander. It's about what you will do when the time comes. The chains that bind me... they are not just physical. They represent something much bigger. A fate that awaits not only me, but you too."

Aether shook his head, trying to make sense of her cryptic words. "I didn't sign up for this. All I want is to find my sister and get back home. But now it looks like I'm stuck in some divine mess with no clear way out."

The Unknown God smirked, as if amused by his frustration. "Oh, you will find your sister. But will you really be able to leave this world behind? Perhaps you'll need to decide what you truly care about in the end."

Aether felt a knot form in his stomach. "This isn't just about me, is it? This is bigger than finding my sister or whatever's going on with these meteorites. You're pulling me into something I don't understand."

She simply nodded, as if it was something she'd already accepted. "Exactly. You're already in the web, Outlander. You can either struggle against it or let it guide you. But I can promise you this—whatever path you take will lead to more questions than answers."

Before Aether could respond, the white void began to fade, the dream world flickering like a candle in the wind. The Unknown God's figure seemed to shimmer and distort. "Remember what I told you, Outlander. The chains are only the beginning."

Aether blinked, and then he was back in the real world, the familiar sounds of Springvale filtering through his mind. He could still feel the weight of the conversation hanging in the air, the cryptic words echoing in his thoughts.

Luminis stirred beside him, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Papa? You were talking in your sleep again..."

Aether gave a tired sigh, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah... just... strange dreams. Let's get some rest, Luminis. We'll figure this out tomorrow."

But as Aether lay back down, trying to clear his mind, he couldn't shake the feeling that the Unknown God's words were more than just riddles. They were a warning, one that hinted at far more danger lurking in the shadows than he'd anticipated. And somehow, he knew that his journey in this world was far from over.

The next day, Aether and the group would have to decide their next steps. Whatever lay ahead, it was clear that the meteorites, the strange dreams, and the Unknown God's cryptic messages were all leading to something far greater. The only question was: What was it?

Aether actived his Crit system. "Can you do something".

[Yes Host]

Aether looked at the system as he spoke. "Take notes for all the thing I know so far".

The Crit System's interface flickered to life before Aether, a series of notes materializing in front of him as it processed his request.

[Processing...]

Aether's eyes narrowed as the notes began to compile. He reviewed them, wanting to understand what he had learned so far and how it connected to everything else.

---

Aether's Known Information:

1. The Meteorites:

Falling from the sky with unknown power.

Upon contact, people fall into a deep sleep.

They are likely linked to the white void and the Unknown God's imprisonment.

2. The White Void:

A strange, endless space where Aether encounters the Unknown God.

Seems to be a prison, as the Unknown God is bound by chains.

The chains appear to be both physical and symbolic, representing some larger, cosmic fate.

3. The Unknown God:

Claims she did not bring Aether to the white void but seems to be connected to the events surrounding the meteorites and the larger cosmic forces at play.

She is not the Queen of Celestia, though she might have ties to it or other divine entities.

Her imprisonment is tied to something much bigger than herself, and she seems to have little control over the situation.

She warns that Aether is already entangled in a larger web of fate, beyond just finding his sister.

4. Springvale Incident:

The meteorites have fallen in Springvale, and the people who have touched them wake up with vague memories, such as seeing a mountain and a snowy face in a white void.

These experiences might be connected to the dreams Aether has been having.

5. King Hector:

Mentioned by the Unknown God as someone who would "destroy her" if he found out she claimed to be the Queen of Celestia.

Implies a hierarchy or structure among powerful beings that Aether has not fully understood yet.

6. The Chains:

They bind the Unknown God and seem to be the source of her current prison. Their significance is unclear, but they may represent a cosmic or divine order that Aether cannot yet grasp.

7. Celestia:

While it hasn't been explicitly defined, Celestia appears to be a powerful force or place that the Unknown God and other entities are connected to. Aether might need to learn more about it to understand the larger picture.

8. The Larger Cosmic Web:

The Unknown God alluded to the idea that Aether is caught in a larger web of fate, one that he didn't choose but now must deal with. The meteorites and the strange occurrences seem to be part of this web.

---

Aether took a deep breath as the list finished processing. He didn't have all the answers, but now he had a clearer picture of the strange events that had been unfolding around him.

He activated the system again. "Okay, what are the possible next steps?"

The Crit System responded almost instantly:

[Host has several paths available. Options include:

1. Investigate the remaining meteorites.

2. Search for more information on Celestia and its connection to the Unknown God.

3. Speak with others affected by the meteorites to gather more clues.

4. Confront the Unknown God directly to seek more information or uncover hidden truths.

5. Return to Mondstadt or Liyue to consult with experts on celestial and otherworldly phenomena.]

Aether rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I guess it's time to choose. There's a lot going on, but I need to figure out what's really at stake."

He turned to Luminis, who was still waking up, rubbing his eyes. "Luminis, get ready. We might be dealing with something bigger than we thought."

Luminis stretched and nodded, clearly excited to be part of the adventure. "Papa, can I help?"

Aether smiled faintly, placing a hand on his head. "Stay close, Luminis. We're going to need all the help we can get."

Aether turned back to Mona and Fischl. "Let's start with investigating the other meteorites. The more we know, the better prepared we'll be."

Mona nodded, her serious expression returning. "I agree. The stars have been speaking more loudly recently. It's no coincidence."

Fischl, adjusting her raven feathers, was already eyeing the path ahead. "We will uncover the truth of the stars, and perhaps even the unknown forces at play."

Aether nodded to them both. "Alright then. Let's move out."

As the group gathered their things and prepared to head toward the next meteorite's location, Aether couldn't shake the feeling that something major was about to happen. The Unknown God's cryptic warning, the strange chains, and the powerful meteorites were all connected. But how? And what role would he play in it?

He couldn't wait to find out.
