Chapter 5: 005 Ye Feimo (1)
Anning International Building, ground floor lounge.
Wen Nuan sat restlessly, having sat the entire afternoon, her face pale with nerves and also flushed with a fury that made her want to murder someone. Ye Feimo had exposed her in front of the whole city in such a manner. What on earth was he trying to do?
He hadn't asked for her consent, which was a violation of her rights. It was too much.
That line, "Remember 5203? Come find me!", clearly meant Ye Feimo wanted her to come to him voluntarily, otherwise she dared not think what the consequences might be.
It was too much.
He had caused an uproar throughout the city to find her.
Every time she thought of the sensation caused by that advertisement, she felt ashamed; even passersby could tell what the photographer was hinting at, a double entendre, how could she not understand.
The rain started pouring outside, mirroring her mood at the moment.
As quitting time arrived, most people in the building had left. Wen Nuoxin thought perhaps he had his own elevator, having left from the parking lot already. It wasn't that she didn't want to go up to find him, but the receptionist downstairs said she needed an appointment to see the president, and her gaze was filled with disdain—Wen Nuoxin didn't feel like inviting further embarrassment.
Night fell, and the rain poured down. She worried about her mother and Xiao Jing, and without thinking, dashed into the rain, running so fast she didn't notice a car rushing from the side. Wen Nuan was too frightened to react.
The man watched the woman's face illuminated by the headlights, a flicker of unusual emotion passing through his usually frosty eyes.
His hand, gripping the steering wheel, tensed, veins standing out, as a mocking curve lifted the corners of his perfect lips. Wen Nuan, frightened beyond measure and yet uninjured, was slightly angry, as it was clearly a green light. Did he not know to look at the traffic lights while driving?
Wen Nuan, being an intelligent woman, saw that it was the latest model Lamborghini and dared not discuss any issues of traffic rules with the driver. These days, having money means making the rules.
She turned and walked away, fearing that lingering might invite a fraudulent claim against her.
The unpretentiously luxurious yet utterly domineering Lamborghini stopped next to her, the man rolled down the window, his voice cool and penetrating in the rain, sending a chill down the spine.
"Get in!"
