Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 365: Raze's Team

[ Congratulations, Team 1!

Your team has been confirmed to be the fastest Raiders of the 2nd Stage. Each member of the team will receive the following rewards:

Rare Skill Scroll x1

Perception Stone x5

Epic Recruitment Stone x1 ]

[ Your rewards have been transferred to your Inventory. ]

"Rare Skill Scroll!" Diana was excited as soon as she saw her reward. Of course, Shane was also happy about it since having plenty of skills would also help him to have better options once he obtained more Skill Fusion Scrolls.

"Awesome… I can finally have a powerful recruit!" Sandra muttered. Without a doubt, she wouldn't be selling this Epic Recruitment Stone… After all, lower-tier Recruitment Stones would only provide ordinary people with a few abilities related to production, like crafting, arts, or various non-combat-related professions.

It means that they were people she had to feed and spend money on to become useful. On the other hand, she heard that Epic Recruitment Stone had a high chance of summoning people with combat-related skills. Since she doesn't have strong combat skills, Epic Recruitment Stones might be the best for her.

As for the Perception Stone, the three of them had never seen them before so they quickly checked their Inventory to confirm their purpose.

Soon, they learned that these stones could actually increase their Perception stat!

Each stone can provide a single point for their Perception!

Diana obtained the Perception stat after being able to smith a rare grade item. On the other hand, Sandra obtained this same stat as a reward after finding five Wooden Treasure Chests.

In the end, the two of them have 5 Perception stats each and had no way of increasing them until now. Sandra doesn't really need Perception Stone, but Diana needs them for her profession.

"Shane, Sandra… Do you need those Perception Stones? Can I buy them instead?" Diana asked after some contemplation.

Shane's Perception was already quite high, and an additional 5 points wasn't a big deal anymore. Because of that, he didn't really mind selling these five.

However, he was curious about what Diana would use to trade with them. After all, it couldn't be another item they just obtained as a reward.

"I don't mind selling my Perception Stones…" Sandra said, and Shane also nodded at this in agreement.

"Great… I'm currently working for a famous Blacksmith, and you might even know about this person. His name is Herman… After working for him for some time, I obtained these four items." Diana said as she took out four gems.

Of course, Sandra and Shane didn't believe that these gems were just meant to be an accessory.

"They're beautiful…" Sandra commented as she looked at the four deep blue gemstones that were emitting a faint light at its center.

"They are…" Diana said as she also liked these gemstones. Then, she smiled at the two and explained what they were.

"They're mid-grade Spirit Stones and could restore 1,000 Spirit Points each. Of course, aside from using them to recover Spirit Points, they could also work as an alternative for Power Cores. Herman said that they are also used for other purposes. Actually, I've never used them before since I'm not really spending too much Spirit Points."

Shane gently nodded after seeing these stones. He didn't really mind even if Diana would just give them her personally created items. He didn't expect that she would actually produce these stones. Find exclusive stories on empire

"I'll accept it… Here's my Perception Stones." Shane said as he handed over the five stones and took two of the mid-grade Spirit Stones.

Sandra also found these mid-grade Spirit Stones useful since they would help her sustain longer flight with her Talent. After all, the only problem with her flight ability was the fact that she lacked Spirit Points.

With this trade completed, the three also decided to open their Rare Skill Scroll. Since there was no specific name on it, it seemed that they would obtain different skills. It could be random or possibly tailored for them.

[ Do you want to activate the Skill Scroll? ]

The question popped up after opening the item.

Without hesitation, Shane replied.

"Yes."

[ You have used the Rare Skill Scroll. ]

[ You have obtained a new Skill: Mental Clarity ]

[ Mental Clarity Lv5: A passive skill that enhances cognitive functions, improving decision-making and reducing the likelihood of panic in dangerous situations. This skill also helps Survivors maintain focus during combat. ]

Shane then shared the new ability he obtained so he could make sure that they all had different skills.

As expected, the skills were indeed not similar to his, but nonetheless, they were all passive abilities.

Diana obtained Agile Hands, which boosts hand dexterity, while Sandra obtained Enhanced Vision, which could help her become a better scout as someone with flight ability.

With these new skills, the three certainly felt excited as they couldn't wait to get the other rewards… Well, they knew for sure that if the others couldn't beat their first and second-stage record, they should also be incapable of beating those three Armored Hunter Zombies in the third stage as quickly as them.

In the meantime, while Shane and the others were waiting, the other teams continued on their Boss Raid. They were all completely unaware that there was already a team that had finished the last or fifth stage of the event.

Team 15, composed of Raze, the Epic-Grade Dragon Knight, with her young Fire Dragon Roan, and two other Survivors, had just finished a grueling battle in the third stage of the Boss Raid.

The arena was littered with the remains of three Armored Hunter Zombies, their stealth capabilities having made the fight incredibly challenging.

Raze wryly smiled as she looked at her scorched and dented armor from the intense combat. Beside her, Roan, the young Fire Dragon, let out a satisfied growl, his scales were still filled with residual heat from his fiery breath.

The two other members of the team, though not as powerful, had played crucial roles in their victory.

The first was Lila, a Survivor with a Rare-Grade Scout Talent. Her keen senses and agility had been invaluable in tracking the very elusive Armored Hunters. She may be quite useless in combat, but her detection abilities weren't that bad. The only problem was the fact that Roan was better in terms of scouting abilities.

Anyway, the second was Jonas, an Exceptional-Grade Gladiator who had a missing left arm ever since they entered this Boss Raid Event. It means that he had lost it in the 'real world' and not in the Boss Raid event.

Despite his missing limb, Jonas was still a formidable fighter, and his remaining arm could wield a massive sword with decent skill. His rugged appearance and battle-hardened demeanor spoke of countless fights and hard-won victories.

After the battle, the team received their rewards for clearing the third stage and was given the options for their next action.

They only had less than a minute to discuss, so the team gathered to consider whether to continue or not.

The battle had taken its toll, and both Lila and Jonas felt that they had become incredibly useless in this third stage. They were already thinking of stopping this raid. They couldn't properly say it to Raze, but to continue to the fourth stage weighed heavily on their minds.

"We barely made it through that one," Lila said, her voice tinged with exhaustion. "If not for Roan, we might not have survived."

Raze nodded with a thoughtful expression. "Roan's senses and damage were crucial, but we everyone had also shown their worth… The next stage will be even tougher. Should we continue after 10 minutes of rest?"

Jonas, wiping sweat from his brow, looked at his teammates. "We need to decide if we're ready to push forward. The fourth stage won't be any easier, and we need to be at our best…"

Raze squinted her eyes and glanced at Roan, who let out a low growl...

"Roan and I can still continue… We haven't shown everything yet. Can you consider it? We need to make sure we're all on the same page. Lila, Jonas, what do you think?"

Lila took a deep breath, her eyes meeting Raze's. "Are you confident event without the two us helping you deal damage to those Zombies?"

"Mhmm… Even if we face 10 of those Armored Hunter Zombies, I'm still confident since I still have a couple of trump cards left." Raze said after some thought. Well, she hadn't used her Drakona Signet Ring and Wymheart Locket Necklace yet.

Aside from that, she still had a Legendary Weapon with her that she had barely used.

Seeing Raze's confidence, the two could only sigh and agreed to Raze.

"I'm in. We've come this far, and I don't want to back down now. But we need to be smart about it. We can't afford any mistakes."

Jonas nodded, his grip tightening on his sword. "Agreed. Let's give it everything we've got."

Raze smiled after hearing their reply and selected the option to rest for another 10 minutes.

As soon as the time limit was over, Raze heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that the opponent was a lone Armored Giant Zombie! This Zombie might be tough, but she was confident that Roan could kite this Zombie to death!
