Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 385: Shane's Assault

While the Leader of the Mystic Mirage Clan was still nowhere to be seen, Shane's Zombie form caused more havoc within the base of the Clan...

He already had a complete grasp of the layout of the shelter, noting the locations of the strategic points to attack them…

After all, there was no way he would stay in a single spot… He kept on moving within the shelter in order to avoid getting surrounded and kill more Survivors.

As he moved, he also activated his Auto Loot Function and took their items, Talent, and skills. Well, they mostly had Common or Uncommon Talents, and only a few of them had Rare Talents, so he mostly ignored them.

"Stop that Hunter Zombie!"

"Captain, it's moving too fast!"

"It can't be stopped by ropes and other traps."

"Ughh… Just retreat and move together. We can't kill it, but it won't kill us if we stay together."

"Just wait for the leader!"

The Mystic Mirage members fought valiantly, but they were no match against the Hunter Zombie who seemed to have the strength of a Giant Zombie… It was also incredibly fast, and they had no way of shooting it with their guns.

The compound was soon overrun, the once-fortified stronghold reduced to a scene of carnage and destruction.

Amidst the chaos he created, Shane finally spotted the blond-haired Leader of the Clan. The man had already rallied the elite forces of his Clan to deal with Zombie Shane…

It seemed that he had taken some time to organize this team as well.

"Tsk… Just one High-Tier Zombie and my camp had become like this?" The Leader couldn't help but feel disappointed after seeing the scene before him.

It was clear that their defenses were crumbling just because of a single Zombie.

"Retreat! Fall back!" The Leader shouted to the ones who were still planning to block the Hunter Zombie. There were already too many casualties, and just barely half of their members were still alive. He had to act quickly!

Shane, on the other hand, destroyed the watchtowers with his overwhelming strength… He needed to do this as the ones stationed in the watchtower were equipped with heavy crossbows. He would still get injured once he was hit by those large bolts.

As he did this, Shane's attention was turned to the group of people who had used various Survivor Skills to scan him and find his weakness.

With his heightened senses, he heard that the blond-haired man was called Gerald, the leader of the Mystic Mirage Clan.

He had gathered three of his elite members ready to deal with him.

Gerald was a tall figure with blond hair, wielding a shotgun and a short blade that seemed to float beside him. It was thanks to his Talent, Invisible Third Hand.

This Talent was only a Master Grade Talent, but it was still incredibly powerful with his method of usage.

The three elites with him were equally formidable. Each of them were armed with shotguns and possessed unique defensive talents: Stone Skin, Iron Skin, and Earth Skin.

Shane didn't have to loot them to know their talents as he could clearly see the changes in their bodies. The only thing he didn't know was what grade these Talents are. After all, if they are Legendary Talent, it wouldn't be easy to pierce through their skins with just his physical strength, no matter how strong he was.

"Spread out and flank him," Gerald commanded.

His voice remained calm and cold even though he couldn't inspect the Hunter Zombie in front of him... It's probably a Variant of the Hunter Zombie…

"This Hunter Zombie is not ordinary... It must be a Leader or Variant type."

The elites nodded; they could also tell that much after seeing it destroy their watchtower with just four punches. That was definitely not something that other Hunter Zombies could do...

After realizing that the Zombie was approaching them, they soon spread out to have a fan formation in front of the Zombie.

Their shotguns were ready and waiting for the Zombie to get closer. After all, this weapon had a destructive power, but the range it had was short. Their shotguns were all at Exceptional Grade and the shells they have were also special.

They believed that even an Armored Tyrant Zombie would take a lot of damge from this weapon.

Shane, realizing that the shotguns posed some threat to him, knew he had to act quickly and decisively. He could tell that the shotguns were enhanced by Item Upgrade Crystals with the glow emitting from their appearance, so he had to take this seriously.

With a sudden burst of speed, Shane darted towards the nearest elite, the one with Stone Skin.

This action surprised everyone in the shelter as this was their first time seeing a Zombie use such a skill!

Previously, the Hunter Zombie was quick, but they could still follow its movement.

However, just now, the Zombie seemed to have blurred, and in an instant, it arrived beside the Zombie!

At this time, some other survivors are already chatting in the regional chat and asking for help from the nearest shelters!

[ Kyle: We're being attacked by a weird or variant Hunter Zombie… We're located at near the Blue Sinkhole! ]

[ Travis: Mystic Mirage Clan? Did you bite more than you can chew? I told you not to be overaggressive when attacking a Zombie Den. ]

[ Kyle: There's no time for that! This Hunter Zombie is weird and can use skills! ]

[ Travis: Sounds familiar. ]

[ Natalie: Just ran away... Your shelter is done for. ]

There were many other chats in order to get help from other camps, but perhaps before they could arrive, their shelter would already be destroyed!

On the other hand, Shane didn't care about this as he continued on his assault!

The elite's skin that he targeted took on a rocky texture, providing him with enhanced durability.

"Hmph!"

Shane's claws then raked across the elite's arm, and the stone-like skin absorbed most of the impact.

'Ohhh… It must be a Master-Grade Talent with this durability.' Shane mused.
