Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Succubus Yuna
Chapter 131: Succubus Yuna
Bluewater Security Bureau
Deputy Director's Office
Ethan Blake stared at his phone, frowning at the Mercenary Guild's latest mission notifications. The Mercenary Guild never posted false missions, which meant that North Mang Mountain, Atoll Island, and Black Forest were indeed sites of demon activity.
"Those places are very likely demon lairs!"
Ethan immediately walked to the large map mounted on the wall. His eyes widened in shock as he traced the reported locations.
"Based on the Mercenary Guild's intelligence, Bluewater is already surrounded by demons! They could launch another siege at any moment!"
"No way. I absolutely cannot let another demon siege happen!"
Resolute, Ethan strode out of his office and headed straight for the director's office.
The new director, recently promoted from deputy director, sat behind the desk. Ethan wasted no time presenting his findings.
"Ethan, you're saying demons might attack Bluewater again? That's absurd!" The director looked at Ethan skeptically.
Yet the director couldn't ignore the seriousness in Ethan's expression, and unease crept into his heart.
Ethan was renowned as the greatest figure in the security system, a man with a legendary track record of success. His accomplishments had earned him widespread respect.
After a moment of thought, the director asked seriously, "Ethan, do you truly believe the demons will lay siege again in the near future?"
Ethan nodded firmly.
"If the Mercenary Guild hadn't issued an Extermination Order, the demons might have waited for an opportune moment to strike. But now that the order has been given, the demons will undoubtedly be provoked into chaos."
"It's like throwing a massive boulder into a calm river teeming with venomous snakes—they'll go mad and lash out at anything nearby."
The director stood abruptly, pacing nervously across the room.
He had spent a fortune securing his promotion to director and hadn't even had a chance to enjoy the position yet. Letting Bluewater fall to demons would ruin everything!
In the past, Welma had been stationed in Bluewater to handle such crises, but she was now imprisoned. Without an A-rank protector, how could Bluewater survive?
Sighing, the director clasped his hands behind his back. "We haven't received reinforcements from an A-rank combatant yet. What are we supposed to do? And your prediction of a demon siege is just that—a prediction. Without concrete action from the demons, headquarters won't send help."
He turned to Ethan, his tone a mix of worry and anticipation. "Captain Blake, you're called the Guardian of Bluewater. Do you have a plan to deal with this?"
The director's words sounded anxious, but he was secretly excited. He was confident that Ethan Blake, the legendary hero, would have a solution. If the demons were repelled, he, as the director, would receive the credit.
Ethan, who had already formulated his strategy, replied calmly:
"First, initiate Level-One Defense Protocols for Bluewater. All city defense officials must be ready for combat at any moment."
His sharp eyes glinted with a steely determination. "Second, mobilize every officer in Bluewater, including security and combat officials, to proactively march into the demon lairs."
His words landed like thunder, shaking the very air.
The director's face turned pale. "No! Absolutely not!"
The idea of humans proactively attacking demons was unprecedented. Throughout history, humanity's greatest victories had been in defending cities from demon sieges. No one had ever dared to take the offensive.
Ethan continued, his tone unwavering. "The order has already been issued. All combat officials will depart in two days."
The director spun around in shock, staring at Ethan in disbelief.
"You… You've already given the order?" He swallowed hard, struggling to process the revelation. "How could you issue such an order without informing me?"
Ethan remained silent, his expression calm.
At that moment, the director realized that Ethan Blake had complete control over the entire security bureau. His position as director was nothing more than a facade.
When had Ethan become this powerful?
The director had always thought Ethan was a loyal subordinate, respectful and deferential. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that Ethan would take control so decisively.
Why Did This Cow Become the Wolf King?
The director slumped back into his chair, frustration flashing briefly in his eyes before he put on a supportive tone.
"Since you already have a plan, proceed with it. The Security Bureau will give you its full backing!" he said.
Ethan Blake nodded and left the office.
Once Ethan was gone, the director erupted in fury, sweeping documents off his desk and muttering curses under his breath.
Bluewater Jurisdiction – Black Forest
Years ago, this forest was a vital transportation route for Bluewater. A railway ran through it, once a popular destination for romantic getaways.
Now, the tracks lay abandoned, overgrown with weeds. A rusted train sat permanently on the tracks, its body weathered and corroded.
Around the train, numerous demons gathered silently, guarding it like a fortress.
Inside the train's dining car, two demons sat across from each other. The decayed red dining table was grotesquely adorned with human organs.
"Lady Yuna," said one of them, a humanoid demon with silver hair and a muscular frame. A vertical eye on his forehead shifted restlessly. "I've heard that Welma has been punished by the humans and imprisoned. Humans, heh, they love fighting amongst themselves. This is the perfect time to attack Bluewater and reclaim Lord Millipede's territory."
Across from him sat another humanoid demon, a striking female.
She had horns atop her head, wings on her back, and flawless white skin. Her exaggerated curves—ample bosom, wide hips, and an impossibly narrow waist—made her the epitome of temptation. She had Western features, with a seductive air that seemed to radiate from her every pore.
Her pink, heart-shaped pupils sparkled mischievously, and meeting her gaze for even a moment felt like ascending to heaven.
This demon, whose beauty was as dangerous as her power, was Yuna—a rare and powerful succubus.
Taking a sip from the glass of crimson liquid on the table, Yuna smiled and said, "Do you know why that fool, the Skeleton King, lost?"
The three-eyed demon shook his head.
Yuna chuckled softly. "Because he was an idiot."
She leaned forward slightly. "A wise human once said, 'Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will win a hundred battles.' But you fools—do you truly understand Bluewater?"
The three-eyed demon bristled but said nothing, knowing better than to argue with Yuna. Her terrifying combat prowess and powerful connections within demonkind made her untouchable.
"Do you really think Welma was the only threat in Bluewater?" Yuna continued, her tone teasing. "We both know how strong the Skeleton King's army was. Do you really believe a mere Security Bureau could repel them? And to this day, their whereabouts remain unknown?"
Intrigued, the three-eyed demon asked cautiously, "Are you suggesting that Bluewater has another extraordinary force?"
Yuna covered her mouth and laughed. "At least you're not completely brainless."
The three-eyed demon's expression grew grim. "Then we need to wait for more demons to gather and launch an overwhelming assault to flatten Bluewater and free Lord Millipede."
Yuna cast him a disdainful glance, one that didn't even require her succubus charms to make him flinch.
"And how long would that take?" she scoffed. "I already know exactly what the extraordinary force in Bluewater is—followers of the Divine Church, our old adversaries."
The three-eyed demon's eyes widened in shock.
The Divine Church? Spreading their faith here?
Yuna stood gracefully, her hips swaying as she walked to the train's doorway. She stopped at the threshold, her wings spreading slightly.
"The missionary in Bluewater is named Desmond. His strength is mediocre at best. I'll visit Bluewater myself, assimilate him into our ranks, and he will become an asset for our conquest of Bluewater."
She turned to look over her shoulder, a seductive smile on her lips.
"Wait for my signal. The war can begin at any moment!"
With that, Yuna stepped off the train, her figure disappearing into the dark, demon-infested forest.
