God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 74: Chapter 74: Butler, Yvette

Chapter 74: Butler, Yvette

Sarah sat quietly downstairs, watching as her master went upstairs.

She couldn't help but frequently glance at the woman at the bar who called herself the "Dog Lady."

Despite wearing a black dog mask, her aristocratic air was unmistakable.

She was undoubtedly a beautiful woman.

What kind of charm did that Ghost King mask-wearing man have to attract such a beautiful awakened follower?

And why did her master seem to show such respect to that "President"?

Sarah thought her master would talk with the "President" for a long time, but after just over ten minutes, a dull thudding sound came from upstairs.

Immediately after, she watched in horror as her master's body tumbled down from the second floor, crashing onto a coffee table.

The cups on the table shattered to pieces.

"Master!"

Sarah's eyes filled with shock as she rushed forward to help her master.

Ethan Blake was already semi-conscious, seemingly gravely injured.

Her face was full of fury as she glared at the second floor and shouted sharply:

"How dare you hit the captain of the Security Officer Squad!"

Alexander's figure appeared from the second floor.

He leaned against the wooden railing, coldly staring at Sarah.

His gaze was as chilling as death itself.

Fear closed in from all sides, gripping Sarah's heart tightly.

But she bravely met his gaze with stubborn defiance.

After a moment, Alexander snickered:

"Good, you've got a bit of your master's bad temper."

With that, Alexander turned and disappeared back into the second floor.

"You! Don't go!"

Sarah was about to yell after him when Ethan Blake, who had recovered a bit, interrupted her:

"Sarah!"

Ethan Blake struggled to stand up:

"I'm fine, let's go."

The Dog Lady, still leaning on the bar watching the scene, smirked mockingly:

"What's the matter? Tried to outsmart him? Serves you right."

Ethan Blake ignored her taunts, and with Sarah's help, limped toward the door.

As they reached the door, he paused.

Looking back at the café, his gaze was full of gratitude.

Even though he had taken a beating, he had still gotten what he wanted.

During his time in prison, he had been deeply worried about his future.

So he had started pushing forward with the things he wanted to do.

Ethan Blake knew he couldn't fight against Welma. It was only a matter of time before that woman would have him killed.

He didn't want to risk leaving the position of Security Officer Squad Captain to those incompetent fools if he died.

He wanted the Mercenary Guild to step in and help, so that Sarah could one day take over his position as captain.

After all, she was a young woman who had inherited his will.

The Mercenary Guild had an unspoken rule, something he had learned from other mercenaries.

If the guild was accidentally exposed in front of outsiders, they either had to eliminate the witnesses or recruit them as mercenaries.

He had repeatedly arranged for Sarah to interact with the guild, hoping she would join them too.

Clearly, his clever plan had angered the President.

Fortunately, the President didn't have a bad impression of Sarah.

Just as the two of them got into the car, Sarah asked worriedly:

"Master, are you okay?"

Ethan Blake glanced at Sarah, a trace of guilt in his eyes.

Everything he had done was without Sarah's consent, entirely his own decision.

But Ethan Blake knew that Sarah would not refuse the roles of Security Officer Captain and mercenary.

Right now, the most urgent thing was to bring those lawless villains to justice!

At that moment, Ethan Blake's phone rang.

He opened it to find a message from the Mercenary Guild app.

Ethan Blake's pupils shrank, and a smile spread across his face.

The Mercenary Guild had compiled all the information on the criminals who had been running rampant during his time in prison.

Ethan Blake's once dejected eyes suddenly gleamed with sharp focus and determination.

Since Welma would eventually have him killed, he decided he'd arrest as many villains as he could while still in his position!

Don't talk about how the world is full of bad people, or how even some civilians had a hand in pushing him into prison.

He had always carefully walked the fine line between this world's decay and its order.

"Disciple, drive, to Chenxiang Street!"

Sarah's face lit up with a smile. Although she didn't know what had happened, her master seemed so cool!

"Got it!!"

Sarah stepped on the gas.

The Old Oak Café remained dimly lit.

Alexander sat in his usual spot, moonlight casting a ghostly glow on his crying Ghost King mask. It looked eerily haunting.

Yvette brought a cup of coffee and a fruit mousse cake to Alexander.

She removed her black dog mask and placed it on the coffee table, sitting gracefully across from him.

This woman was none other than Yvette.

Her usual elegant attire had been replaced with a seductive, mysterious leather outfit, creating a striking contrast that added to her allure.

She sat quietly in front of Alexander, not saying a word, simply accompanying him in silence, matching his mood.

Yvette knew that with Alexander's status, he wouldn't share his joys or sorrows with anyone.

So she chose to play the role of a dutiful servant, like a silent cat.

Suddenly, Alexander asked,

"You've followed me for so long, yet you've never told me what you want."

After hunters joined the guild, they all expressed their own unique desires.

Some wanted money.

Some wanted power.

Some wanted peace.

Some wanted fairness.

But Yvette had always just run the café, never behaving like a typical hunter.

Yvette lightly pressed her red lips together:

"Didn't you already give me money to buy the café? I've also kept my promise, and I'm willing to work for you forever."

Alexander habitually tapped his fingers on the table:

"You can ask for something you really want."

The coffee in the quiet night was especially rich, and paired with the cold winter moonlight, the café had a unique atmosphere.

Alexander was in a good mood today.

He could be a generous boss for once, as a reward for his excellent employee.

Yvette smiled seductively:

"Anything I want?"

Alexander nodded seriously.

The thirty-year-old beauty flashed a playful smile:

"If possible, I'd just like to stay by your side forever."

This woman knew how to create the perfect mood, not wanting to spoil the atmosphere.

Alexander's lips curled up:

"In a few days, I'm recruiting some servants for my house. You can be my butler. I'll give you the appropriate reward."

Yvette's beautiful eyes sparkled with delight.

She knew that the reward itself didn't matter—what mattered most was earning Alexander's favor.

Just like Rosie, Jack, and even Ethan Blake.

Yvette could confidently say that the most precious thing for these people wasn't Alexander's rewards but that he considered them part of his inner circle.

To care for the leader's daily life—that was the best fate one could ask for.

Otherwise, why do so many top executives come from the ranks of secretaries and drivers?

Having grown up in high society, Yvette naturally understood this.

The next morning.

Alexander returned to the old district.

His garden had been completed.

The layout of the European-style courtyard was meticulously designed, skillfully blending with nature.

The archways, ponds, small bridges, and pavilions in the garden looked like artistic ornaments.

Behind an artificial lake stood a seven-story ancient-style tower.

The interior of the tower was lavishly decorated with modern furnishings.

Due to winter, all kinds of rare trees in the garden were wrapped with warming straw.

It was hard to imagine how lush the garden would be come summer.

Alexander wasn't in a hurry to move into the tower. He had important business to attend to at the old house today.

Two days ago, Dou Yubo had finished sealing the monster corpses and delivered them to the courtyard.

Today, Alexander planned to use those monster corpses to add some depth to the Mercenary Guild's foundation.
