GODDESS OF THE EMPIRE

On the day when Maisie went to meet Aella at the airport, she was accompanied by her butler Estelo, her two bodyguards, three servants and her two friends, Rayen and Nia,

She was very surprised when she first met Aella, it was not because of her resemblance with the Pearls family, but because she was identical with her second brother "Glacier Pearl", who is also the CEO of the Pearls Corporation, it is thanks to him and their grandfather that they could become the most influential families in Sion City. Maisie thought that it was a bit odd that Aella bore such a strong resemblance to her second brother Glacier instead of her first brother Lucien Pearl, who's suppose to be Aella's father.

It was Lucien who informed her about Aella's existence.

Lucien and his wife had a child who had been missing for years, so Aella could be that child. But then again, Glacier also had a daughter who disappeared sixteen years ago right after her birth..

"Aella supposedly is Lucien's daughter and not Glacier's..... mmh….how strange" said Maisie thoughtfully. "Hm?! Huh? Wait..."

"Don't tell that it's possible that..." she yelled excited, "Aella is Glacier's daughter and not Lucien's?" she wondered as she stroked her chin pensively

"It's quite possible because even though Glacier is a man who is known for being cold, tyrannical, indifferent and domineering, and who only care about working. He too fell in love and got married" Maisie stated loudly freaking Estelo and the others out as she walked over to where Aella was standing in a cool manner with her suitcase.

She has lost her mind, why is she yelling and talking to herself?' everyone wondered and gave their Mistress a strange look.

But Maisie didn't even realize that people were staring at her, because she was too busy thinking about Glacier, Aella and Lucien.

The story of Glacier Pearl and his wife is very well known in Sion and the other four kingdom, mostly because everyone believed that the cold, tyrannical and workaholic Glacier Pearl would never get married, they thought that he would stay a single since he never showed any interest in any woman and only spent all his time working.

However to everyone's surprise, it was reported that the feared cold man had finally fell in love and was about to get married, the news attracted everyone's attention.

The story goes like this, Glacier had always loved only one woman who he eventually married, that woman was called " Violet Tempest", the married couple even had a baby girl on their way. Sadly, on the day Violet gave birth to their daugther, while Glacier wasn't nearby, both her and the baby had vanished mysteriously.

Glacier mobilized all the soldier and military units in Sion and the other kingdoms searching for his wife and daughter.

Alas, they were nowhere to be found.

Years passed, unable to locate his beloved, Glacier became depressed, and turned even more cold-hearted than he was before, a workaholic tyrant, compassionless and ruthless.

He estranged himself away from everyone, family gathering or events, he only devoted himself to his work.

This was Glacier's story

When they reached Aella, Maisie opened her mouth to talk, but no words came out.

Since the moment she stood in front of Aella, she felt an incredible pressure, startled and alarmed she stepped a few feet back.

She stared at Aella with wide eyes. 'What a terrifying Aura, her Aura is nothing compared to my family, hers is much more terrifying.

' She tried to calm down, and after a while she said.

'Umm... Hi, I'm Maisie, I'm not a bad person, I just wanted to talk to you for a few minutes."

Aella simply looked at her, then looked at the bodyguards and servants behind her.

Realizing what was happening, Maisie quickly told the others to back off.

'She seems to be a very cautious person and dislikes having a lot of people around her... just like Glacier.'

" 'How can I help you?" Aella's cold voice echoed.

Surprised, Maisie looked at her nervously and said, "W-well.... Aham, you see, this may sound ridiculous but... you and I are families," she blurted out.

Aella raised an eyebrow and stared at Maisie in amusement.

"I....i'm your aunt," Maisie said again thinking she didn't hear her.

Maisie then began her explanation about the Pearls family, of course, she skipped the swap topic, it wasn't a good idea to explain it to her now, as they weren't in the right place to talk about it.

Aella looked at Maisie like she was crazy.

As if reading Aella's mind she said "Don't look at me like that, I'm not crazy." Maisie swore under Aella's gaze.

" Oh I see" she replied nonchalantly.

"S-so what do you think?" Maisie started saying "I was thinking of bringing you to live with me, what do you think"?

"No"

"Th-then, would you like to meet-?"

" No" Aella reiterated uncaring.

Maisie sighed in exasperation. 'I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but.... Haaaa, she's so hard to deal with, just like Glacier.

Aella ignored Maisie and headed towards the exit looking for a place to sit while waiting for the butler that her master Otiz sent to her in Sion.

She walked to a deserted area away from all the noise, and sat down on the bench, with her leg crossed she leaned against the back of the bench as she scanned the entire area.

Maisie and the others followed her, her two friends Rayen and Nia who had been watching the whole interaction between Maisie and Aella felt frustrated and angry, 'who does this girl think she is?'

"Hey!" Rayen rudely called out to Aella but was ignored.

She clenched her fists furiously, causing her sharp nails to dig into the flesh of her palm.

"How dare you ignore me? Hey... I'm talking to you!" growled Raven.

"What's so good about you?" Nia said looking from head to toe at Aella. "You just have some beauty and you think you're some big shot" she glared with jealous eyes. it didn't matter how much she hated Aella it was obvious that her beauty was out of this world, which is what irritated Raven and Nia the most.

"There's absolutely nothing special about you."

"Well, compared to you, her beauty is out of your league," one of the servants said offhandedly.

"Am I talking to you, how dare you disrespect me like that?"

Raven was furious.

Maisie and Estelo were dumbfounded by her attitudes.

"Unforgivable! Is this how a servant should speak to her Master?"

Maisie's maid glared annoyed at the two girls and said.

"I don't work for you, so you are not my Master, and at this moment I am being honestly respectful to you only because our Mistress is here!"

Maisie looked at her proudly 'These two thought they could bully my people like they want to', I'm so unlucky to have run into them while coming here. They're such pains.

"Y...y-you" Nia pointed at her "A peasant girl like you dares to..."

"So loud" Aella coldly interrupted.

Raven pointed her finger at Aella and said.

"W-who do you think you are? It's your honor if Maisie and I talk to you, how dare you ignored me earlier."

"Do you know who we are? We are d-"

"Keep pointing at me, if you don't want your finger anymore," Aella's eyes turned cold and murderous.

"You..." Aella's eyes gave Raven chills, she could only swallow the rest of her words.

Maisie quickly interjected "Um.... Aella, where are you going, let me take you?"

"No need, you're all too noisy."

Annoyed by Aella's attitude, Raven again felt the need to teach her a lesson, she ignored Aella's warning and pointed at her again.

Just at that moment the atmosphere became tense.

Aella stared at them sending shivers down Rayen and Nia's spine, suddenly a strong and dense wind rose around them. The ground between her, Nia and Raven was crushed by Aella's strong pressure.

In disbelief, they all held their breath and their eyes, watched in shock and horror as Aella's Aura engulfed the whole place.

Minutes later they heard Aella's chilling voice say:

"If you have nothing good to say, you'd better keep your mouth shut, don't you agree?"

Faced with Aella's tyrannical Aura Rayen and Nia could only nod fearfully.

Maisie and the others stood there frozen in fear and amazement.

Amidst the suffocating silence, Maisie swallowed anxiously, 'I know I shouldn't mention this now and that my life may be in danger but ..... I have no choice.'

"A-a-aella about the Pearl family thing."

"Your family's problem are none of my business, Ma'am." Aella said calmly retracting her aura.

'Snap' The veins in Maisie's head were visible, she was clearly irritated.

"Old woman!!! who are you calling old, I'm still young...., I'm not old! HUMPH!" Maisie shouted angrily, completely forgetting the fear she had before, they all looked at her in horror.

They thought 'My lady, are you trying to get us killed? So what if she called you old?'

"I have never in my life been called old," she continued.

'I said Ma'am, not old'" Aella defended herself.

'Oh she's not mad, thank God' The servants and all the others including Raven and Nia sighed.

They were all relieved when they saw that Aella wasn't angry, she was just playing along with Maisie.

" It's the same thing."

-No, it's not the same," Aella replied slightly amused by Maisie's attitude.

'Why are we talking about young and old now," Everyone thought seeing how they were still arguing.

"Anyway changing the subject, I don't care much about the Pearl's family either. I don't live with them, they are very bad people" she said throwing her own family into the mud.

The servants looked at Maisie in astonishment 'Eh! You change the subject that fast? And your anger from before?'

'My Lady, is it okay to say that about your own family' Estelo thought.

Maisie stared at Aella and said.

"Then how about living in my house in the meantime?"

"Why should I? I already have a place to stay" Aella said sincerely, she didn't see why she should stay with others when she has her own place.

"It would be more convenient for you to have someone who knows everything about Sion."

"My butler knows everything about Sion city."

"I know lots of places too" Maisie replied "And, moreover, my house is large and we have tea time with cakes and cookies" Maisie declared.

At the mention of cakes, Aella stopped, after half an hour of Maisie trying to convince her, Aella finally yielded and said.

"Well all right."

"Huh? Really" said Maisie in surprise

Aella nodded, Maisie seemed like a nice person and gave off good vibes and energy so she didn't see why not live with her for a while. She just had to let Otiz know and that was it. And even if Maisie was a bad person, she'd just go eat the cookies and sweets and then kill her and that was it.

Estelo, the bodyguards, Rayen, Nia and the maids were stunned and amazed, they thought.

'_ WHAT? Just like that, just because she mentioned the cakes and you yielded?.
