"At Hogwarts, we have a Divination class," Bruce began.

"This war will engulf the entire world and last for four years. Fifteen million lives will be lost."

"And not just this one—twenty years later, humanity will spark another world war. By then, the number of dead will be…"

He trailed off, his voice heavy. Every word he spoke was true, a glimpse into an inevitable future.

"Mother!" Diana stood abruptly, unable to contain herself.

"This is all Ares! Ares has corrupted humanity, driving them to war!"

Her voice brimmed with urgency. "We can't stand by and do nothing anymore! We must—"

"Enough, Diana!"

Queen Hippolyta's sharp voice cut through Diana's plea. She raised her hand, silencing the room.

"That's enough for today. Take Bruce and tend to his wounds."

Bruce was escorted away, but Diana followed close behind her mother, continuing her argument.

"Mother, why are you hesitating? You heard him—millions will die! We must help humanity!"

"Do not speak further, Diana," Hippolyta said firmly. "I will not send troops to fight their wars and leave Themyscira unguarded."

"But humanity is innocent!" Diana protested.

"Zeus created humans to be just, wise, strong, and compassionate! It's Ares who has plunged them into the torment of war!"

Her words came from the depths of her heart, yet they failed to move her mother.

Hippolyta turned to her daughter with an unreadable expression.

"Diana, why are you so certain that Ares is the sole cause of all this?" she asked softly.

"Do you truly believe that if Ares is killed, war will simply cease to exist?"

"Yes!" Diana answered without hesitation.

Hippolyta sighed deeply, the kind of sigh a mother reserves for a daughter too naïve to see the world's harsh truths.

"Diana," Hippolyta said, "forget these ideas. As your queen, I forbid you from leaving the island."

"And you are especially forbidden from sneaking into the weapons tower, stealing the Godkiller sword, and leaving the docks on a stolen boat."

With a dramatic sweep of her cape, the queen turned and departed with her guards, leaving Diana alone.

Her fists clenched. Her resolve, however, remained unshaken.

Later That Night.

Bruce sat submerged in a glowing spring, his wounds slowly fading.

"Everything is going according to plan," Kathoom said as he materialized by the water's edge.

Events were unfolding just like the movie. Diana would likely take Bruce off the island soon.

"She probably still thinks the Godkiller is that silly sword," Kathoom remarked.

"But the real weapon to kill a god… is Diana herself."

Bruce sank deeper into the water until only his nose and mouth broke the surface.

"Are we really planning to bring Diana back to the Harry Potter world?" he asked in his mind.

"Not yet," Kathoom replied.

The owl tapped the small pouch hanging from his chest, inside which rested a growing creature.

"When Halley matures, she'll be strong enough to carry passengers through the multiverse."

Halley was a celestial hatchling, born from Speed Force energy, Nth Metal, and Kathoom's blood. The owl had nurtured her in a self-contained ecosystem inspired by Newt Scamander's enchanted suitcase.

"So for now, we have to rely on learning," Bruce said. "There has to be more than one way to kill a god. Maybe Themyscira holds even greater weapons."

"There is something stronger," Kathoom admitted.

The Mother Box rested on Themyscira, but Bruce didn't need to know that yet. If he got his hands on it, would he end up creating something even worse?

"Oh, by the way," Kathoom added. "Why did you specifically call it World War One earlier?"

Bruce was too methodical to make such a glaring mistake in his wording.

It had to be deliberate—a way to hint to the Amazons that this war was just the beginning.

Bruce didn't respond, staring at the luminous spring instead.

Kathoom sighed. "I get it. You're hoping the Amazons might intervene to stop the war, right? Bruce, you're almost fourteen—don't be so naïve."

Even without Ares, humanity's wars would march on.

The Sarajevo assassination had already taken place. While World War I hadn't officially started, it was only a matter of time.

The thirst of empires for a global reshuffle couldn't be quenched.

"I just said it in passing," Bruce replied.

He understood the complexities of war, that no single person or deity could be blamed entirely.

But still, deep down, he held onto hope.

If the Amazons were truly the bridge between gods and humans, could their intervention at least reduce the war's brutality? Could fewer civilians die?

"I want world peace too," Kathoom said. "But when the tide of history surges forward and everyone craves war, even Batman isn't enough to stop it."

"Unless I become strong enough," Bruce muttered, his gaze unwavering, "to create order.

"A world without war, without suffering—a place where everyone can live happily under a system I design…"

"Bruce!"

Kathoom interrupted sharply.

"What kind of dangerous thoughts are you having?"

The owl tilted its head. "That sounds like Rowena Ravenclaw's infinite dream.

"Be honest—are you planning to do this to Gotham someday?"

Turn Gotham into a city that truly belonged to Batman?

"No!" Bruce snapped.

But before he could continue, a voice came from outside the bathhouse.

Moments later, Diana strolled in nonchalantly.

Bruce hastily covered himself.

"So beautiful!" Kathoom remarked casually.

To his surprise, Diana nodded. "Thank you. You must be the owl Bruce mentioned?"

Bruce's eyes widened in disbelief. "You can understand him?"

"Why wouldn't I?" Diana said with a shrug.

"Wonder Woman can talk to animals."
