__________

When you think about it this way, hey, that's pretty smart, right?

"Cheering for me? That feels pretty good."

James smacked his lips and thought somewhat self-satisfied as he looked at the flat-headed guys cheering around him. But then he realized that his understanding was totally wrong!

___

The sun rose and set, and a few days passed quickly.

Although the dinosaur people planned to launch a surprise attack on the alien race in the poisonous fog, they still needed to rest.

During these days of rest, they cleaned up the battlefield.

The bodies of their own people were gathered, and then, under James's watch, these dinosaur people threw the bodies of their fallen into the giant crater.

As for the corpses of the alien race, most of the humanoid ones were eaten by the primitive dinosaurs, the relatives of the dinosaur people.

The corpses of the sea monster basilisks, however, were all collected by the dinosaur people.

A small portion was eaten by themselves, but the majority was gathered and piled in front of James.

As the dinosaur elder danced and sang, James began to understand the general meaning.

After all, during his sleep, James had been fed countless times.

So, James naturally accepted the corpses of the basilisks and the sea monsters.

Spraying a bit of fire to roast them, he found the giant snake meat tasted like chicken, while the sea beasts had a slightly fishy taste reminiscent of seafood.

All in all, it tasted quite good.

These serpent monsters and sea beasts were all giants, not too small.

Their meat was chewy, making it very suitable for James's current appetite given his body size and posture.

The remaining dinosaur people were doing more than just tending to themselves during these days.

They were also gathering more of their tribesmen at the same time.

Yes, the dinosaur people present were not actually all of them.

They had their own "pastures" spread across the southern continent, with tribesmen raising livestock in different locations.

However, the number of dinosaur people assigned to raise livestock or perform other tasks in each location was small, just a handful or at most a few dozen.

After all, the dinosaur people were the overlords of the southern continent. They had occupied the region for over a thousand years, eliminating other weak alien races.

As the most powerful supernatural race in the area, they didn't need many people just to engage in animal husbandry and hunting.

Still, the southern continent was vast, and in less than four days, the number of dinosaur people and primitive dinosaurs returning to the tribe exceeded five thousand.

Including the remaining dinosaur people, the entire tribe now had barely more than 20,000 members.

Excluding the cubs and juveniles, there were probably less than 10,000 with full combat capability.

Yes, the previous battle had nearly exhausted all the strength of the dinosaur people.

For them, this war was indeed tragic.

After nearly ten thousand years of reproduction, their numbers had finally reached nearly 80,000, but they had nearly been decimated overnight.

As an extraordinary race, the dinosaur people had strong bodies and a natural lifespan of three to five hundred years.

But as the price for their powerful physiques, they faced the common reproductive challenges of all extraordinary races.

It was not easy for them to reproduce and grow.

Female dinosaurians laid quite a few eggs, two to three a year.

However, the survival rate of these eggs was less than 40%.

Furthermore, nearly 30% of the 40% of hatched eggs were primitive dinosaurs.

Unfortunately, primitive dinosaurs were inexplicably infertile, making it challenging to increase the number of dinosaur people.

Moreover, this was a wild, extraordinary world.

There had always been conflicts, with some tribesmen dying for various reasons. Additionally, conflicts with other groups could lead to frequent losses, making it difficult for their population to reach nearly 80,000.

Fortunately, James appeared at this critical moment in the war.

Without him, the dinosaur people's thousands of years of reproduction would have come to an end.

With James's presence, the remaining dinosaur people not only successfully repelled the invading aliens but also gained stronger bodies.

Including the young dinosaur men and those who could join the battle later, they could potentially have 15,000 combatants if fully gathered.

As for the rest of the dinosaur people, most were too young—cubs under two meters tall.

During these days, James had been silently observing the dinosaur people, and they, in turn, were watching him.

Especially the adult dinosaurs who had just returned from various places. While helping their tribesmen clean up intact eggs in the caves beneath the cooling mountains, they tried to get as close as possible to their god.

They had no bad intentions; it was entirely James's doing.

During these days, James explored his abilities and conducted experiments.

He was curious about how he managed to evolve the dinosaurs and control fire.

The shock wave-like moves like *Flame Ripple* that cleared out minions couldn't be used casually. After all, it had taken considerable effort to restore peace for these few days.

So, James could only try using his short arms to grab one or two of the little flat-headed guys who approached him out of curiosity.

Initially, the adult dinosaurs worried that James might be angry and punish the little ones.

But they soon found that they had overthought.

The baby dinosaurs caught by James were quickly put down, and after being released, they miraculously gained the ability to control fire.

This discovery thrilled the dinosaur people.

After realizing their god's mercy, more dinosaurs who hadn't been blessed by miracles started intentionally or unintentionally wandering around James.

James welcomed this attention.

He enjoyed the feeling of being worshiped and cheered for and wanted to understand the limits of his power over the dinosaurs.

Unfortunately, the experiment didn't go as planned.

From start to finish, James didn't need to control anything. Simply letting the dinosaurs come into contact with the flame-like patterns on his body was enough; the flames would naturally seep into the dinosaurs.

James did lose some energy in this process, but the amount was almost negligible.

If he hadn't seen the thin flame threads surrounding the dinosaur men and disappearing into their bodies, he wouldn't have noticed.

The energy that the dinosaurs could absorb had a limit, which was incomparable to James.

However, the dinosaurs who absorbed the energy did become significantly stronger.

James saw many dinosaurs practicing their newly acquired abilities in the distance over the next few days.

These dinosaurs, with flames emanating from their bodies, looked like little firemen, releasing their power until they were exhausted.

Although they would temporarily weaken, these dinosaurs seemed to have broken through some evolutionary limit. Even without getting close to James, they could recharge their power by entering lava.

This revelation left James awestruck.

Weren't these just miniature versions of himself?

Granted, the dinosaur people were far more agile and human-like than James, who, with his thick thighs, couldn't jump nearly as high.

What most closely resembled James were actually the primitive dinosaurs.

Dinosaur people, however, had a more human-like form, with bodies similar to humans but on a larger, more exaggerated scale.

Their dinosaur heads and thick tails set them apart from the rest.

Beyond that, they were the most human-like beings James had seen.

The shark people he'd encountered earlier were a humorous sight—fish with limbs, much like fishmen from fantasy works.

Over the days, the dinosaur people evolved rapidly, visibly growing taller with each practice session.

Originally, they averaged around four meters tall, but now some reached nearly five meters, and this was clearly not their limit.

In less than five days, their rate of evolution was staggering.

If given more time, who knew how much more they would grow?

And the primitive dinosaurs who gained abilities could also see considerable growth.

James marveled at their seemingly supernatural speed of evolution.

If Darwin had seen this outrageous growth rate, he would have jumped out of his grave, wouldn't he?

James was both fascinated and curious about the limits of the dinosaurs' growth.

For this reason, over the past few days, he continued evolving the unevolved dinosaurs, observing their growth.

Forty sunrises and sunsets may not mean much to James today.
