Harem-Powered Kingdom Building: Empire of Carnal Sin

Chapter 10: Ultimate Force Telekinesis

[

Ultimate Force Telekinesis: Moving objects around slowly with normal telekinesis is for babies.

This ability lets you freely create and manipulate Force Vectors anywhere in your surroundings.

Slicing an enemy with an invisible sword while standing still, immobilizing foes, or even blowing their heads off—anything is possible! Your imagination and Carna are your only limitations.

Cost: The amount of Carna needed depends on the difference in Stats between you and your target and on the Force Vectors you create.

Creating Force Vectors directly inside a living organism is extremely costly.

Creating Force Vectors that directly affect living organisms is costly.

Creating Force Vectors that affect inanimate objects is far cheaper.

]

Mastering this ability was anything but straightforward. It offered countless possibilities, but Hiro had to concentrate on visualizing the Force Vectors precisely for them to manifest.

His Carna was steadily, albeit slowly, depleting. 125… 124… 123…

Controlling two stones simultaneously, especially when they were behind him and out of sight, demonstrated his remarkable progress.

Even Carnalia was impressed, though she chose not to express it.

Resisting the urge to speak just to break the silence, Tara eventually led Hiro to the river's location.

The woods were shrouded in fog, with a snow-capped mountain standing some distance to the left. The crystal-clear river flowing nearby completed the picturesque scene.

The view was both beautiful and refreshing.

Hiro began by inspecting the river water.

'The water seems to originate directly from the melting snowcaps of the mountain. It should be relatively safe to drink.'

He felt relieved that at least one of their problems—drinking water—was solved rather easily. The river wasn't far from the flat ground where they were setting up camp.

Turning around, he noticed Tara glancing around restlessly.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

Her face was coated with panic.

"The Goddess Statue! I'm certain I saw it here. Where could it have gone?"

Hiro scanned the area. Aside from leaves and scattered rocks among the trees, he saw nothing unusual.

"Let's take a quick look around. Maybe you misremembered the exact spot."

Tara was confident she hadn't. The statue had been leaning against a peculiarly shaped rock right in front of her. Still, she agreed to Hiro's suggestion, since she did not have better ideas herself.

The two of them split up and began searching the area.

Moments after Hiro began his search, he heard a scream.

"Kyaa-!"

Without wasting a moment, he rushed to Tara's side.

She stood frozen at the edge of a clearing. Hiro arrived just in time to see her unsheathing her sword, her gaze locked on something ahead.

Two grotesque, green-skinned monsters knelt at the center of the clearing—Goblins.

Between them lay a dead deer, its bloody and grotesque entrails still exposed.

The goblins' heads turned toward Tara, their mouths and hands smeared with the deer's blood. Each had a club strapped to their back.

With guttural growls, both monsters rose to their feet, their weapons now in hand as they faced Tara. They stood about as tall as Bob, with muscular frames uncharacteristic of typical goblins. The slightly slimmer one was a female, while the bulkier one was male.

Tara's stance shifted slightly, signaling she had already noticed Hiro's arrival.

"M-My Lord! Leave these vile creatures to me. I'll protect you."

Every sentient being possessed a Monster Appraisal skill. Hiro activated his to assess the goblins.

Level 23 and Level 24 hobgoblins.

At Level 6, Tara stood little chance of defeating them.

In fact, Tara recognized them as hobgoblins at a glance. She also knew that adult hobgoblins were generally over Level 20.

Although everyone possessed the Monster Appraisal skill, its functionality varied based on the rarity of their class.

Tara, with her Combat Class of Common rarity, could only appraise monsters up to 10 levels higher than herself. She knew that for her, even trying to appraise the hobgoblins was useless.

She knew her chances were grim, but she refused to give up. This was the determination of someone desperate to prove themselves.

'The Goddess… The World… how could they give me a common class?'

For her family, gathering the money needed to obtain a Combat Class hadn't been easy. Yet, she had still ended up with a class of common rarity.

To be fair, a common class was, as the name suggested, the most prevalent in the world. It was what the majority of the population ended up with.

But Tara was far from satisfied. She believed she deserved better and refused to simply lie down and accept her fate.

'I will prove myself with a Feat!' she resolved.

Beyond granting Titles, Feats could offer individuals the chance to evolve their classes.

'I must also protect Lord Hiro.'

Hiro's death would almost certainly spell doom for her parents.

Her trembling ceased. In a matter of moments, she transformed her fear of the monsters into unwavering determination and rage, adrenaline surging through her veins.

'It's a 2 vs 1. I'll take one of them down quickly while they're still apart.'

She didn't count on the Level 1 Hiro, who didn't even have a weapon, to fight alongside her.

She activated a Warrior skill—Charge!

With a mana-imbued kick, she propelled herself off the ground, closing the distance to the male hobgoblin in an instant.

Using her momentum, she swung her sword at the hobgoblin, aiming to wound it with her initial strike and finish it off with a powerful Skill on the second.

Unfortunately for her, the hobgoblin was far from a stationary target.

It swung its club to intercept Tara's sword, and in that moment, she truly grasped the vast disparity in their stats.

With a single, powerful swing, the hobgoblin disarmed Tara, sending her sword flying. A dull pain shot through her arms, and as she stared at the grotesque visage of the creature before her, the fear she had suppressed surged back to the surface.

The male hobgoblin swung its club again, while the female stood off to the side, emitting a sinister chuckle.

In a panic, Tara tried to retreat but tripped over something, landing hard on her butt. Thankfully, the fall helped her evade the second swing.

The hobgoblin loomed over the now defenseless Tara, drool dripping from its grotesque mouth.

How had it come to this? Tara wondered. She was supposed to show Hiro the Goddess Statue.

The Goddess Statue was meant to keep monsters away.

Yet here she was, mere moments from death. The hobgoblin planted one of its legs on her and raised its club for a final, crushing blow.

"My Lord, run!" she screamed, her voice tinged with desperation.

She believed these would be her last words.

After screaming, she turned toward Hiro's direction, hoping to see that he had already fled.

However, what she saw next was incomprehensible to her eyes and brain, due to her relatively low AGI stat.

For the briefest moment, she thought she saw two gray objects hovering in the air. Were those… stones?

Zzup! Zzup!!

A series of sharp sounds reached Tara's ears.

The sound of something slicing through the air.

The dull thud of two objects colliding.

The wet splatter of blood.

And half a second later, the loud thuds of two objects striking the ground some distance away.

For a brief moment, the scene froze, and the clearing fell deathly silent. Two hobgoblins lay lifeless on the ground, stone-sized holes punched clean through their heads.

Meanwhile, Hiro, who had been Level 1 until now, was bombarded with notifications.
