Harem Streamer System: Every Crime I Broadcast Wins Me a Superheroine

Chapter 14: Obsessed Heroine, Pizza Delivery

Scott took a few deep breaths as his heart pounded along with the flickering city lights below. He adjusted his mask, making sure it was snug over his face, then looked back at the streaming drone floating right behind him as it followed his every move.

"Alright, folks… time to pick up the pace. Hold tight!"

He took off in a quick sprint across the rooftop and dashed toward a gap that dropped five stories down to the alley below. The wind rushed past him as he jumped, pulling his knees up to clear the ledge. He landed on the next rooftop, rolling low and springing back to his feet without slowing down.

The chat lit up with excitement.

[Dang, my dude's got skills! (☆ω☆)]

[Yo, that was sick, Nightwatch! Keep it going!]

[Wheeee! Are you Spider-Man, bro?]

[Skip the stunts and get to the action, my guy!]

Scott grinned and caught the rush of adrenaline as he sprinted to the rooftop edge. Without hesitation, he launched off, using his grappling hook mid-air to swing over to a nearby fire escape.

The drone captured every angle, sending the footage live to his viewers, who reacted with comments rolling in faster than he could read.

[YESSSS MORE PARKOUR!!!]

[Dude's def not skipping leg day lol]

[Nightwatch's got hops, fr fr]

As Scott scaled the last rooftop, his smartwatch buzzed to indicate his final destination was just around the corner. He paused to catch his breath, then checked the screen to confirm he had the right address.

"Hmm, this is it…"

He muttered to himself as he looked back at the drone.

"Looks like the System nailed it."

[Err, this looks like the alley by Sixth! Isn't that where you get your weed, dude?]

[LMAO that does look familiar.]

[YO, I hope this is the guy who yeeted you through a window (ノ≧∇≦)ノ]

[Don't let him knock you out again, bro!]

[Hey, 20 bucks says he gets tossed again LOL]

As Scott scanned the comments, he chuckled and shook his head.

"I can't with you guys sometimes…"

Before long, Scott faced the camera and turned serious.

"Alright, everyone. Tonight's plan? We're interrogating one of the suspected robbers from last night's little show. Let's see if he's got anything useful to say."

Just then, a poll popped up in the corner of the stream:

「What's the success rate of this mission? Vote Now!」

✢ He wins with style: 45%

✢ Another trip through a window: 35%

✢ I'm not sure: 20%

---

Scott simply smirked at this.

"You guys are ruthless. I'd be happier if I didn't have to fight, honestly. But hey, it's the job."

As he turned back to the entrance, an alert flashed on his screen… a new donation from none other than PhantomMuse89.

He hesitated before reading the message:

[PhantomMuse89 donated $500.00 – Uhm, where are you currently?]

Scott's eyebrows shot up at the hefty donation attached to such a straightforward question.

The chat erupted in reactions.

[Yo, $500 for a question??]

[PhantomMuse89 really tryna pull info here, hmmm (ಠ_ಠ)]

[Who even is this PhantomMuse89 person, lol? Paparazzi??]

[Plot twist: PhantomMuse89 is his stalker LMAO]

[You can't get more desperate than this fr (´-ι_-`)]

[Y'all really get salty over nothing fr (¬_¬)]

Scott laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh, sorry, PhantomMuse, but… can't share that. Already risking enough just streaming all this. Hope you understand."

As he turned his attention back to the building, another message from PhantomMuse89 popped up, practically pleading:

[PhantomMuse89: Please, I really want to know.]

The intensity of the request made Scott hesitate for a second, but he forced himself to shake it off.

"Look, sorry, but it's a no-go. Thanks for the support, though. Really appreciate it."

The chat exploded with reactions to his response, and a few viewers tried to comfort PhantomMuse89.

[Dang, imagine dropping $500 and getting hit with a 'no'… that kinda sucks (┬┬﹏┬┬)]

[Awww, don't worry, PhantomMuse. It's just safety stuff, you know?]

[Bro really tryna dodge stalkers tonight LOL]

[PhantomMuse89 kinda giving me weirdo vibes ngl… or do y'all not see it?? (ㆆ _ ㆆ)ノ]

Meanwhile…

Emma let out another frustrated scream and flopped back onto her bed, glaring up at the ceiling. She clutched her teddy bear tightly, her cheeks flushed as she frowned.

"Why won't he just tell me?"

She muttered under her breath, feeling frustration bubbling up as she remembered Scott texting his girlfriend.

Soon, her expression grew a bit darker.

『Hmm, maybe if I donated like $5,000, he'd answer my question? No, that probably wouldn't work. I don't think he's the type to be easily swayed by money… if he was, he'd already be selling merch after his first big stream.』

Emma thoughtfully stroked her chin.

『Or what if I sent him a huge gift or something, you know, became his biggest supporter, and then told him I'm Miss Mercury or something… then we'd start off with a good relationship, right? Err, that sounds a bit forced.』

Emma let out a long, dramatic sigh as she glanced back at Scott's stream.

She couldn't help but feel a sort of envy watching him, so carefree and unbothered.

Memories of her middle school days flashed through her mind… the last time she'd ever felt this obsessed about a guy, back before her powers had awakened. Back when her biggest worries were math quizzes and reading romance novels under the covers past midnight.

"Ugh, what happened to me?"

Emma groaned and pressed her hand against the screen as if she could somehow reach him through it. She flopped back down on her bed and rolled onto her stomach, burying her face in her pillow before peeking up with a helpless little pout.

"I haven't even kissed a guy! Meanwhile, my sister's probably doing all that and more… how unfair is that?"

After a moment, she pushed herself up and padded over to the wine rack in the corner of her room.

Pulling out an expensive vintage she barely knew anything about, she poured herself a glass and took a slow, thoughtful sip as she eyed her wall covered in snapshots of Scott in his Nightwatch mask, mid-action.

Each picture showed a different pose, a different rooftop or street corner, all captured from his stream like prized mementos.

She wandered over to her desk and traced her finger over the line of car keys she'd lined up there, each one representing a different, more extravagant ride than the last.

"Maybe guys like him go for that sort of thing?"

She muttered, holding one of the keys up to the light.

"Just give him a Lamborghini or something… or, like, a custom-made vigilante car with all the gadgets. What guy wouldn't be into that?"

But even as the thought crossed her mind, she shook her head and set the key back down with a sigh.

"No… he'd probably just think I was trying to buy him. Besides, he'd never be able to accept it on stream. It'd be too… obvious."

She let out another, even heavier sigh and plopped back onto her bed as her eyes drifted to the screen once more, where Scott's latest stunt had the chat in an uproar.

"You're hopeless, Mister Vigilante…"

She whispered with a soft, almost affectionate smile.

"And maybe I am too…"

━ ━ ━ ━

Back on the rooftop…

Scott inhaled deeply to gather his focus.

"Alright, let's get to business."

He glanced at the screen one last time and chuckled at the chaos PhantomMuse89 had stirred up before he adjusted his mask and turned to face the backdoor.

"Ready, guys?"

He whispered to the camera.

[Let's goooooo!]

[Make him bleed, Nightwatch!]

[We've gotta stop calling him that… I think something like Midnight is better!]

[Never name again (ㆆ ᴗ ㆆ)]

[…]

[Yo, get in there already (¬‿¬)]

Scott leapt down from the rooftop and landed with a muffled thud just outside the designated door in the alley.

He adjusted his mask, flexed his gloved hands, and took a moment to shake off the last bit of adrenaline coursing through him.

The drone hovered close, capturing everything.

He gave the door a few brisk knocks, listening to the shuffling noises inside.

Through the walls, he could hear muffled laughter, a few giggles, and the telltale thumping bassline of cheap speakers blasting music.

Inside, a couple of tattooed gang members lounged on sagging couches, some puffing lazily on cigarettes while a few of their girlfriends draped across them, one of them half-naked and leaning into a sloppy makeout session with a guy sporting a scruffy mohawk.

Smoke drifted through the dim room, carrying the strong, distinct smell of weed mixed with the sourness of old beer.

One of the gang members near the back tilted his head toward the door, then tapped the ash off his cigarette.

"Yo, we expecting anyone tonight?"

The gang leader barely looked up, too busy with the woman on his lap to pay attention. He waved a dismissive hand, muttering something that sounded vaguely like "who cares?"

The first guy shrugged, stubbing out his cigarette as he sauntered over to the door.

He rapped on it twice.

"Who is it?"

Scott cleared his throat and adjusted his voice, going for his best awkward-nerd impression.

"Uh… pizza delivery?"

The thug frowned then glanced over his shoulder.

"Hey, did we order pizza?"

A guy slouched on the couch, his eyes red-rimmed and glazed.

He looked up with a slow, lazy grin.

"Bro, just open it. We'll stick a friggin' gun in his face and take the free pie."

With a chuckle, the first guy shrugged, turned the handle, and pulled the door open.

A flash of motion was all he saw before Scott's boot connected squarely with his gut to send him stumbling backward and crashing onto the sticky floor.

The other gang members bolted upright, wide-eyed.

The chat immediately lit up.

---

[OOOOOOH! That's what I'm talking about! (≧▽≦)]

[Nightwatch's got that serious kick lol]

[Did you see the way he flew back? LMAO]

[YOOOOOO, GET HIM, NIGHTWATCH!!]

[Uh… are they… like… half-naked in there? (•_•)]

[Quick someone call Twitch mods lol]

[Free show? LOL I'm here for it (¬‿¬)]

---

Emma let out an excited squeal from her room as she watched, clenching her fists in excitement.

"Yes! That's my guy!"

Scott barely had time to notice the donations pouring in from the excitement before the gang members scrambled for their guns, eyes blazing with aggression. He dove to the left and rolled behind a battered couch just as bullets began to fly.

A few shots tore through the fabric, but fortunately missed him by inches.

In the stream's corner, a steady flood of suggestions from the viewers popped up.

They were eager to tell Scott how to handle his next move.

[yo make sure to punch the guy with the mohawk (¬‿¬)]

[Smack one of them with a bottle!]

[just break all their legs (✧∀✧)]

[20 bucks if you chokehold the leader lol]

[DUDE DROP A BOMB OR SOMETHING!]

Ignoring the onslaught of tips, Scott rolled to his knees and lobbed a small homemade smoke bomb into the center of the room.

… SUUUUUUU!

It hissed and explosively released a dense cloud that filled the room in seconds.

The thugs stumbled back and swatted at the smoke.

"FACK! I can't see shit!"

"This son of a bitch fights like Rope Girl!"

"Raaaargh! I've had enough of this shit!"

"Don't fuckin' pull that trigger unless you wanna kill our blind asses you dumb fuck!"

"Damn it!"

Scott watched all this with a grin.

"Showtime!"

He muttered as flicked on the stun batons in each hand and surged forward.

The first guy barely had time to register the batons before Scott cracked one across his jaw and sent him flying.

With swift, practiced movements, he whirled around to sweep a second thug's legs from under him before jabbing the baton into his chest to painfully electrocute him. The guy convulsed as his eyes rolled back before slumping unconscious.

The comment section was going insane:

[YESSSSSSSSS!!! LIGHT 'EM UP NIGHTWATCH!]

[OMG THAT SMOKE BOMB THO (゚⊿゚)]

[Someone get this guy a medal fr (ᗒᗨᗕ)]

[Guy's out here taking names like a BOSS]

[These dudes don't stand a chance LMAOOO]

[Bruh, what is all this glazing…]

[I like that you say that behind your screen (´・_・`)]

The half-naked women rushed for the door, screaming as they scattered into the alley.

Their high heels clicked against the concrete.

But Scott barely noticed them as his focus was solely on the gang members still left.

A burly thug lunged at him, but Scott sidestepped and sent his baton down on the guy's wrist to disarm him before slamming his fist into his gut.

… THWACK!

Another jab with the baton left him twitching and unconscious on the floor.

… bzzzzt────POOOOOM!

Scott paused, breathing hard as he surveyed the room.

The last of the thugs was stumbling backward, looking at him with wide eyes and his gun shaking in his hands.

"Y-, You're crazy, man!"

Scott tilted his head and took a step forward.

"Just doing my job."

The thug turned to run, but Scott lunged, hooking the guy's ankle with his baton and yanking him to the ground.

… fuuup────KRAAAAK!

A swift jab to the back of the neck, and the guy went limp.

Scott straightened and gave a quick nod to the drone.

He noticed the chat rolling with donations and messages, and he couldn't help but grin as he scanned through a few.

[ok that was LEGENDARY fr fr]

[Nightwatch's out here like Batman 2.0 LOL]

[Bro dropped them like flies!]

[WHERE'S MY DUDE'S OSCAR???]

[@Nightwatch How do you not have merch yet???]

[Like fr, I would honestly buy \( ̄O ̄)]

Scott caught his breath and rubbed the back of his neck as he turned to address his audience.

"Alright, guys. That's all of 'em. Now… let's see if anyone left some intel lying around. Gotta find out if these lowlifes know anything about last night's robbery."

Scott walked over to the gang leader, who lay unconscious among the smoke and knocked-over furniture. He crouched down and patted the guy's jacket pockets until he pulled out a crumpled scrap of paper with a few addresses messily scribbled on it.

The chat exploded again:

[YESSSS CLUES BABY!!]

[Ok but like is anyone gonna bring up that crazy guy that donated $500 earlier??]

[Yo PhantomMuse89 we need answers (。•̀ᴗ-)✧]

[Forget the clues, where's my Batmobile tho?]

[I mean he has to ask first, right? Like those Make-A-Wish kids usually do…]

[I think you mean GoFundMe…]

[Oh yeah, that ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )… my bad…]

Scott held up the paper to the camera with a smirk.

"Looks like we've got a lead for tomorrow night. Hope you're all ready for round two."

The chat cheered as he slipped the paper into his pocket.

And somewhere across the city, Emma watched him with a soft smile as her fingers traced lazy circles around her wine glass.

"Tomorrow night, huh… guess I'll have to tune in again, won't I?"

She then took a quick screenshot of the paper.

Viewers couldn't see the address in the slightest, but she was going to find a way.

"I'm ready for you this time, Mister Vigilante…"

Emma smirked confidently.
