Harry Potter: Demon Monarch

Chapter 51: Chapter -51 Mad Dog Lester.

Chapter -51.

The magical duel unfolding before them was truly beyond anyone's ability to get involved. Whether it was the skilled dark magic users from Azkaban or the esteemed pureblood officials, none were strong enough to take part in this intense battle.

This was a showdown between two powerful dark wizards.

"Come at me!"

As a frightening dark beam hurtled toward him, Lester showed remarkable bravery, raising his hand to respond with fierce flames.

A shocking pillar of fire exploded from Lester's palm, charging fiercely at the incoming dark energy.

"Boom!!!"

The clash of the two powerful dark magics resulted in a tremendous explosion, sending shockwaves across the floor.

The force of the impact pushed both Lester and Bernard back several steps as they struggled to regain their footing.

Bernard stared at Lester in disbelief, his eyes wide in astonishment.

"How is this possible? Is that timid little dog of the past really capable of unleashing such powerful flames?"

Even amidst his surprise, Bernard didn't hesitate; he quickly made two sweeping motions with his hands.

In response, two terrifying black mist energies, imbued with a deadly aura, surged rapidly toward Lester.

As he faced the oncoming dark mist from both sides, Lester felt a wave of despair. For the first time, he found himself powerless against these formidable dark forces that once seemed so distant.

Not wanting to take the hit, he gathered all his magical energy in his legs and suddenly dashed to the side, landing heavily on the dusty ground while narrowly evading the threatening black energies.

Before he could catch his breath, the two dark auras missed him and crashed into the wall behind him with tremendous force.

Boom!!!

With a resounding crash, the wall was breached, leaving a hole large enough for two people beneath the powerful assault of dark magic, causing bricks to tumble to the ground and stir up a cloud of dust.

But it didn't stop there. As fear flickered in Lester's eyes after barely dodging that attack, he instantly launched a frenzied counterattack. This was the first time he truly felt the threat of death since arriving in this world; if he hadn't reacted quickly, those dark energies could have easily claimed his life.

Lester's eyes burned with unprecedented anger. While he had previously been motivated by the memories of his predecessor to take down Bernard, now he felt a genuine desire to make him pay.

"Destructio ignea!" [part of Protego Diabolica]

With a spell that primarily aimed to boost his momentum, Lester raised his hands, and soon, a powerful and menacing energy began to radiate from him.

Before long, a massive blue fireball was rapidly forming in his palms. In mere seconds, it condensed into an enormous fireball with a full meter in radius.

Even though Lester had transformed himself to appear taller at 1.9 meters, he seemed small in comparison to that gigantic fireball.

"Go!"

With an angry shout, Lester hurled the massive fireball from his hands, sending it hurtling toward Bernard like lightning.

The moment the enormous fireball appeared, it radiated intense heat, causing all the onlooking wizards to sweat profusely.

Bernard, standing at the front, felt his eyes widen in shock. The speed of the fireball was beyond anything he'd anticipated; he realized there was no time to counterattack and that trying to endure this hit would be sheer folly.

Acting instinctively, Bernard cast Disillusionment.

A flash of black light erupted just as the fireball was about to connect, causing Bernard to vanish and reappear a short distance away, narrowly avoiding the blast.

However, while Bernard evaded the attack, the wall behind him obviously did not have the same luck.

Boom!!!!

A deafening roar, far louder than before, came from the once-sturdy wall behind Bernard.

The massive fireball had created an incredible five-meter-wide hole in the load-bearing wall of the Ministry of Magic's third underground level.

If the previous crater had only rattled the floors, Lester's new attack sent tremors thrumming through the entire Ministry of Magic three times over.

But the chaos didn't end there; as soon as the fireball detonated, the blazing flames began to spread wildly in every direction, consuming everything in their path.

Protego Diabolica, one of the darkest magics known, continued to grow in strength. These flames could morph into various monstrous forms, relentlessly pursuing and attacking anything that could burn.

In the past, Lester had tried to maintain some control over the spread of the flames, launching only moderate attacks and being cautious not to unleash their full destructive potential.

It was important to note that the true danger of the flames lay not just in their destructive power, but in their almost indestructible nature.

Moreover, the Ministry of Magic wasn't just some isolated structure; it was located beneath London, home to millions.

If Lester's level two flames were allowed to uncheckedly spread through the heart of London, it wouldn't take long for the bustling city to collapse under their fiery onslaught.

At that point, whether the greatest white wizard of the 20th century, Dumbledore, would come after him was irrelevant; even other countries' Ministries of Magic wouldn't sit idly by.

Much like Grindelwald's fire incident in Paris years ago, if Lester's alarming plan came to fruition, the entire wizarding world would be exposed, officially entering the gaze of the Muggle society.

The situation could easily result in the kind of war between Muggles and wizards that Grindelwald had long desired.

And here he was, Lester, potentially becoming the spark that ignited this war!

"You brought this on yourself!" Rage filled Lester's eyes. For the first time experiencing the threat of death, the initial feeling of fear morphed into boundless fury.

No one ever truly welcomes death; even a mighty figure like Voldemort fears its approach.

And Lester, who was just ten years old and hadn't truly experienced the wizarding realm, certainly felt that weight.

Previously, he had controlled the flames, wary of the potential destruction they could unleash. But after that close call, he realized that his restraint had done him no favors.

If he hadn't acted swiftly, that wretched opponent would have almost cost him his life.

Now, Lester decided he wouldn't hold back anymore.

Facing death, he entered a state of furious determination.

"Protego Diabolica, burn him to the ground!"

Along with Lester's furious declaration, the already rampant flames flared up more fiercely.

While Lester had initially restrained the flames to a small area, they now erupted uncontrollably in all their terrible glory.

Roar!!!

Within seconds, several colossal fiery beasts emerged in front of everyone, showcasing just how unchecked the flames had become.

"What are you doing, you mad dog!?" Bernard exclaimed in shock. His confidence shattered the moment he saw the fierce fire beasts, feeling an ominous dread wash over him.

He never anticipated that the once obedient and diligent pupil he had nurtured would lose control and seek to incinerate the entire Ministry of Magic.

Sure, burning down the Ministry was one thing, but didn't he realize that directly above it lay a busy city filled with millions?

"Darn it, if I had known he was capable of this, I never would have pushed him so hard!"

Bernard surveyed the raging flames and the ferocious fire beasts with a bewildered expression, grappling with the realization that some disputes didn't need to culminate in such irreversible extremes.
