Hatake Tatsuya in Naruto

Chapter 149: Chapter 149

Konoha, 51 years.

The future Konoha Nine have entered the age of three. For children of shinobi clans, this year is a significant milestone. From the age of three, their heirs can begin practicing chakra extraction and based on this their future potential shall be discovered.

As the son of the chief of the Intelligence Department, Naruto is considered a rich second-generation civilian. He's started to learn about chakra, but it's hard to tell if his progress is affected by the Nine-Tails' chakra or the fact that he's Ashura's reincarnation, complete with all the "stupid" attributes that come with it.

Every time Naruto practices ninjutsu, Kushina's hair practically stands on end, and she looks ready to hit something, while Minato beside her can only manage a bitter smile.

After dinner one evening, it was time for Naruto to practice chakra extraction again. Under the watchful eye of his parents, he brought his hands together to form a seal. As he concentrated on gathering chakra, he mumbled "Hmm..." under his breath.

About half a minute later...

Puff!

An odd smell filled the air, and a loud, harsh noise reached the couple's ears.

Two seconds later...

"Naruto!" she exclaimed. "Did you just fart in front of me?!" Kushina's red hair flew wildly, and she charged toward Naruto in fury.

Minato quickly stepped in, trying to calm her down. "Kushina, calm down! He's still a child!"

Naruto, terrified by his mother's fiery temper, quickly bolted for the nearest window without saying a word.

...

...

It was impossible to walk the streets of Konoha alone in the winter.

Naruto lingered, speaking to himself in frustration, "All this... because of a fart?!" He crossed his arms over his chest and grumbled to himself. "I mean, it's not like I could control it, right?" As Shikamaru said, like his mom, when my mom gets angry she turns into a terrifying monster..."

"Monsters of the Uchiha clan!"

Suddenly, a loud commotion up ahead caught Naruto's attention. Curious, he ran over to see what was happening.

At the center of a group of children, led by a chubby boy, was a short black-haired boy. The other kids were surrounding him, making mocking faces, taunting, and insulting him. The black-haired boy looked furious, his clenched fists trembling, the veins on his hands standing out in the cold air. He was clearly on the verge of exploding.

Yet, despite his anger, he held back. The boy remembered the words his father and brother had told him: no matter how much he was insulted in the village, he couldn't react.

Just as the tension seemed about to snap, a flash of yellow appeared, rushing toward the group.

"Hey! You guys! Why are you bullying him?!"

Naruto's voice cut through the air, and all eyes turned to him.

Sasuke, the black-haired boy, blinked in surprise. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice tinged with confusion.

There was an odd shift in the air. It was the first time anyone had stepped forward on his behalf.

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto! I'm going to be Hokage one day!" Naruto declared proudly, striking a pose as if to emphasize his words.

He pointed at Sasuke again, his tone a mix of contempt and mockery, but not malicious:

"It's useless, you know? These guys are insulting you, and you're just standing there, not even fighting back. You're really stupid!"

"What do you know?!" Sasuke snapped, unwilling to hold back his frustration.

But the words of his father and brother flashed in his mind again. He gritted his teeth and swallowed the retort that had risen to his throat.

"Are you going to hang out with Uchiha's monsters, yellow runt?" the chubby boy leading the group taunted.

Naruto's face darkened. "I may want red hair like my mother, but if you dare say that again, I won't forgive you! Take this!"

Without having properly condensed his chakra, Naruto charged forward, launching a flurry of sloppy punches. The difference in size was too great, though, and he was quickly knocked to the ground, and pinned beneath the fat boy. He called out to Sasuke, curiosity and frustration in his voice, "Hey! You're just gonna watch me get beaten? Help me out!"

Sasuke, seeing Naruto's struggle, couldn't help but feel a bit lighter. Despite himself, he found it oddly comforting. Without thinking, he rushed forward and sent the chubby boy flying with a well-placed punch. Sasuke had been practicing chakra control, and now his punch carried the strength of an adult.

"Go!" Naruto shouted as he quickly jumped back to his feet. He leaped at the little fat boy once again, this time throwing another wild barrage of punches.

Seeing this, the other children quickly rushed forward. A group of rowdy little brats, in the eyes of adults, was nothing more than a typical display of childish behavior.

However, when one of the adults not far away noticed the ping pong racket logo on the back of his shirt, several ninjas realized this situation could be more troublesome than it appeared.

In the distance, two pairs of eyes watched the scene unfold quietly.

"Indra and Asura can't stay away from each other in the end. Naruto doesn't seem to know Sasuke's name so this is their first meeting..."

Tatsuya sighed as he recalled Naruto's description of his relationship with Sasuke from the original timeline. Isn't Sasuke's current situation essentially the same as Naruto's in the original story? Although not as extreme, it's a much-weakened version.

"What do you mean, Onii Chan?"

Next to him, Hyūga Hinata, as cute as a porcelain doll, blinked with curiosity and asked.

"It's a bit complicated to explain, but you'll understand when you grow up," Tatsuya replied, giving her cheek a playful squeeze. It felt soft and warm in his hand.

"Oh..." Little Hinata nodded, seemingly accepting his response.

Like Naruto, she had struggled to condense her chakra and had been scolded by her father. After several failed attempts, she finally burst into tears and ran out of the house.

However, unlike in the original story, she didn't encounter those same bullies. Instead, she bumped into Tatsuya. Tatsuya had plans to take Hinata to Tsunade for training. And no, it wasn't because she had called him "Onii-chan" the first time they met.

...

...

"Does this kind of mess need me to handle it?!"

A few hours later, in the Hokage's office, Tsunade's eyes landed on a report detailing a gang fight between the son of the Uchiha clan's leader and the son of the Minister of Intelligence, along with a group of rich civilian kids. She couldn't help but shout in frustration.

A bunch of kids fighting, and they come to me for this?!

She huffed, thinking, So when cats and dogs start fighting at the village tomorrow, are they going to bother me about that too?

Kurenai, whose temperament had softened over time, smiled helplessly. "There's no avoiding it, Tsunade-sama. Fugaku-sama and Minato-sama are involved, and you know how special the Uchiha clan is."

"It's so annoying." Tsunade scratched her head in exasperation.

In the end, Tsunade knew the situation required a neutral stance. Whoever took the initiative would have to bear responsibility.

So, later that night at the Namikaze residence, the sharp crackling of butt spanks echoed through the house, accompanied by the cries of Uzumaki Naruto.
