Chapter 49: Preparations
When Julius came back to his friend and his sisters he found Habol using wandless magic to entertain the two girls by performing a few small but interesting tricks, some including a quaffle he was currently levitating between his hands.
After having been ‚abandoned' by her big brother before, Daphne decided that the four would be playing keep away now, but with a slight twist.
Normally keep away was a simple game played mostly by muggles but since Julius had introduced it to his sisters, though on a broom and with a quaffle instead of a regular ball, the three had been playing it regularly, especially when Astoria was still too young for a regular broom and had to use a children's broom instead which was of course not ideal for playing quidditch.
The rules were simple; if the game was played with four people, three would be passing the quaffle to one another and the fourth would try to catch it while it was in the air, if he managed to do just that, the last person to touch the ball would have to change positions with the one in the middle and the game would continue that way.
This time, due to Daphne's and Astoria's unwillingness to just let Julius' transgression go, though Astoria really only insisted on it because of Daphne, Julius was supposed to be the only one trying to catch the quaffle, though after a while of playing Astoria got annoyed that Julius would always get the ball and decided to overthrow that rule in the hopes of maybe doing a bit better this way, to small success.
After a while of playing and as Astoria and Julius had completely exhausted themselves the four sat down on the grass and caused by Julius' joking claim to have won the game due to being the one who'd been in the middle for the longest time, Habol started a hex war with him to the astonishment of the girls.
Julius could've even sworn that he saw a resolute expression in Daph's face as she watched the two of them quickly slinging hexes at each other.
…
In the evening Julius was sitting in George's office to talk about two particular things with him that might just become extremely important for his interaction with the original Harry Potter canon.
"Are you sure about this young master?"
After a few years of serving the young master George had thought he was used to the sometimes eccentric ideas and orders of the youngest head of the Abraxus family, but every now and then he was proven wrong.
The young master of course had a history of interesting ideas that sometimes turned out to be quite ingenious or just strange, but George just attributed the first category to the young master's genius and the second one to certain childish tendencies he usually wouldn't get to express due to his status as a young pureblood wizard in a society that was as obsessed with tradition as most british purebloods were, but this time George just could not even begin to understand his intentions:
For some reason his young master had decided to pay a visit to a seemingly random muggleborn, replacing a wizard from the Theia Corporation's Hebe Foundation, an organisation created with the goal of nurturing young talents, especially in the case of muggleborn or sometimes halfbloods, to secure talented young wizards and witches as potentially useful additions to their corporation.
Usually the Hebe Foundation would offer entry into its programmes only after young wizards and witches already entered Hogwarts but in some special cases they would also offer personal tutoring and similar things if they believe to have found an especially talented youth, in which case they might also sometimes approach their families before reaching this general threshold.
Until now the young master had never shown any particular interest into this, even though the Hebe Foundation was his personal idea, named after the ancient Greek goddess of youth and despite being completely inexperienced regarding this subject, this day he had apparently changed his mind regarding a specific muggleborn that, while not particularly special in the magic power department, had shown a certain degree of promise in other departments that made the responsible people mark her file for further evaluation.
But of course George couldn't just let his young master partake in an activity such as performing a visit at said muggleborn's house as this was not only seen as beneath someone of his status, but also that he was not the slightest bit qualified for.
And that was completely ignoring the fact that this kind of visit would require a talk with the muggleborn's parents if on were to follow company guidelines and even though Julius did of course have the authority to circumvent those by virtue of his control over George, it was he himself who had implemented these guidelines with the reasoning that anything else would be highly unethical and George didn't think the young master he knew would just let go of these moral concerns, no matter how unpredictably he might act sometimes.
And the chance that two adult muggles with no connection to the magical world besides their child would take the offer of another child who told them he was a wizard and representative of a powerful corporation in a hidden magical society even remotely seriously.
And so George had been trying to make his young master reconsider his decision for a short while now, since he had announced it, predictably with no progress besides Julius growing more and more annoyed.
"George, I believe I've made myself clear. I will not change my mind," Julius stood up from his seat and turned towards the door of George's office. "I will be visiting her tomorrow at 4 pm sharp and that is final. Good night."
With these words he left the room and quietly closed the door behind him before making his way over towards his own room, he would need to be well rested for tomorrow.

As always sorry for the long wait I had a busy few weeks (+ I thought I already uploaded this so it has been ready for a bit) and though there is a chance that this trend will continue for a while, I hope that for the foreseeable future I will be able to spend more of my time with this fanfiction.
Please give me any feedback you might have.
Thank you all for reading :)
