Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Final Results

Calendar Year: 292 AC (1 Year Later, Madara is 9)

< Madara POV >

"Get up," I ordered.

"You still hit so hard," Daenerys replied while rubbing where she was hit.

"Huh, the enemy won't bother to care about hitting hard or not. You need to be prepared... you can't beat me, so you will be beaten." I snorted coldly. But now, looking at her and thinking of the past three years, I felt a small ripple in my heart. I guess I was starting to substitute her for Izuna.

This peaceful childhood...

'Even now, after all of these years, I still can't forget you, brother,' I go to touch my eyes. Even if they are changed now to new ones, they are still a remembrance of who they once were. Izuna would be happy for me to move on as well.

When did I start to care for her?

Maybe loneliness and being betrayed too many times changed me when I first met someone as selfless as her.

"Begin again," I say, suppressing my thoughts.

I watch as Daenerys swiftly throws punches at me. I easily dodge them, but she is definitely faster than when we first started. In the beginning, she was sloppy... Now, she strikes for my fatal spots: neck, nose, eyes, heart, and even... let's say whoever may try their way on her may have to join the unsullied army.

"Sharingan." I use a genjutsu on her, impacting her brain. I cancel it, and she falls into fear but soon calms down.

"You are also getting faster at calming down from emotions quickly, whether you are scared, mad, or happy. Everything I put you through, you are getting better at recovering." I used Sharingan training earlier this year to train her emotional reactions.

In this unpredictable world, many things can happen, such as making a fatal mistake from being distracted or affected by enemy taunts.

This should let her control herself even if she is hearing or being affected by strong emotions.

Make the most rational choices under heavy circumstances.

I go to pick her up, but she throws herself into my arms... again.

I subconsciously hug her back but quickly let go.

This has happened so many times. At first, I didn't entertain this idea, but slowly, I started even hugging back before I could stop myself. This is a bad habit. Rationally, I should distance myself and steel my resolve and will, but emotionally, I felt my eyes pulsate as in resonance with my heart; emotionally, I wanted to feel loved and wanted. I lost all of that after Izuna died, but now I have her.

Once again, I am removing these weird thoughts from my head.

"Now it's time for shuriken throwing."

Walking towards the archery grounds, where the unsullied were practicing.

I had asked Illyrio to focus on buying them; he now owns around one thousand, which is almost all of his current wealth. However, with my guarantee of him becoming a governor once I proclaimed King as per our original cooperation intention, he did it and even gave me the whip after buying.

This was another test of mine; although I couldn't kill all those unsullied if they wanted to avenge their master, I could kill Illyrio first and then escape.

Luckily for him, he didn't disappoint me.

These would be my perfect subordinates after I leave. They will at least protect someone I want them to. At the thought, a girl with silver hair and purple eyes appeared in my mind.

The unsullied, principled, and obedient set up a guard around Daenerys and me as they continued to practice.

"Yellow Bug." Looking at this older, Unsullied Captain I had known long ago.

He had become the head commander of these one thousand men.

After I received the whip in front of them all, I destroyed it and told them they may leave; I have no need for those who weakly fall into servitude without their own free will.

My understanding of these unsullied was strong. I knew that even if they were released and freed, they had no other purpose. Although it may be saddening to hear about their tragic lives and how they are now, that is something I can only change when I am stronger. Now, I need their help to lead to this peace.

I also promised such a future, needless to say.

They now all listen to me over Illyrio.

"Lord Madara, we have started controlling the surrounding influences from this estate, but there is talk in Pentos of our freedom, and the slave masters of Astapor feel that we are defective products and want to rebuy us. Those masters are here talking to Illyrio." He said emotionlessly, but I could tell he was not feeling like that at all.

"Daenerys, do what I taught you before. You will throw these hundreds of shurikens until your arms are sore and aim for the center. Each time you hit, move back a step." I first instructed Daenerys about her training, and then I turned to follow Yellow Bug.

Hearing the new clicks of armour resounding, I nodded in satisfaction. These unsullied have been upgraded from leather to something more practical and domineering.

Their armour has changed to what I was used to in the Sengoku period; the only difference was that my armour stayed Red, while they all became black. The exposed back of the leather armour had a symbol of the Uchiha fan.

Their helmet was changed to a mask with a face to strike fear into my enemies. Another notable thing I added was the gloves they wore. They allowed a better grip on their weapons, and I also added small steel plates on the knuckles with leather underneath, so it worked effectively on the enemies.

This will be my Uchiha elite army, and I have made sure of it, too. I gave Yellow Bug a special training plan before, and they have followed it. At least infiltration and assassination together should be a lot easier and a lot quieter.

I had them focus on close combat with a sword. Now, they carry a spear and a short sword, ready to fight. With those gloves, they are able to fight hand-to-hand and still deal considerable damage, if not kill them by punching to death.

"Yellow Bug Uchiha, let's see these so-called Masters of Astapor and see why they want to reach their fingers into our Uchiha clan." my words almost chilled the atmosphere. I was genuinely angry; I had accepted these new Uchiha members because it didn't affect anything.

They are cockless and unable to create offspring for the Uchiha, but they will fight and die for my world and my peace.

They deserve the honour of having such a name.

Plus, this made them feel closer to me, which I needed the most.

As we approached Illyrios's study, I could hear a gruff voice coming from inside. The voice was speaking in Valerian with a strong accent.

"We will buy them for less than the said price. Even giving you money is a waste of these discarded products? one thousand of them! Gone wrong!. We must check the place and who trained them." I could hear the anguish in his tone. These "defective" products were going to end his reputation.

"In return, we will offer you a better discount for your next purchase. Otherwise, you are no longer allowed to buy them from us, and we may even take drastic measures," said another one, with a slow, mocking tone.

As a bystander, I didn't want to hear anymore, so I made myself known by pushing open the door.

I see three people in fine silk clothes and grabbing any woman they see, touching them all over.

Behind one of them stood a young girl, light-skinned, with black hair. She had a collar around her neck and looked only a little older than me, probably around eleven. She just stood there in silence as one of the masters was touching her ass.

I then heard her repeat what the slave masters had said to Illyrio, but not entirely; it was much more polite in the common tongue. 'This was a talent.' were my first thoughts.

'This girl was careful in her words, which is useful for delegating tasks.' I envision her as a secretary.

In this room, there were about eight unsullied, for of them were mine, in their own unique armour and masks, looking intimidating, while the other four unsullied were brought by those masters.

"We will not barter my clan. They are my important family now, and I will not let you sell them away like cattle anymore," I interrupted and said coldly.

"Who invited this brat? Quickly send him away now." A fat master looked displeased and waved to an unsullied guard to take me away, but just as he moved, Yellow Bug beside me moved first, in the new striking armour that was not black but more of a golden yellow, like this name and his position, he was unique, He first closed in the distance, and the unsullied couldn't use his spear, he wanted to take out his dagger on his waist, but was firmly punched in the face, and fell down. It was simple and crude, but effective.

This altercation also caused my other four unsullied in this room to pull out their tantos and move, applying pressure; all the while, Illyrio, who sat at his sea, seemed to feel upset.

"You claim my family is a defective product, but yours cannot even beat them. I would say your training methods are worse than defective. You have singlehandedly brought down your own value with this comparison of display," I said arrogantly.

The more time passes, the more confident and arrogant I feel.

Growing my strength has allowed me to be more willful, just like I always had been.

"I will keep these other unsullied you brought and take them as my family. It would give them a real purpose rather than being sold off to die for silly reasons." My words resonated with one of the Unsullied they brought. I could see he yearned for a real purpose. I pointed to him. "You, what's your name?" my calling surprised the unsullied soldier and even Yellow Bug.

The unsullied soldier looked at his master first but then seemed to have made a decision. He took off his helmet and showed a young face with a shaved head. "Grey Worm, My Lord," he said with a firm decision.

With a shrill voice, the master replied to this, "You! You need more training when we get-"

"Stop talking, you trash. Or I'll kill you." I interrupt the slave master, my Sharingan staring him down as he trembles in fear.

I didn't want to kill any of them if I didn't have to; I don't have time to play games of enemies and allies just yet. I also have some plans and need to be free from these silly games. But if he insists on getting himself killed, I will do it.

"Grey Worm, before you made your decision, I assume you must have heard of my deeds." I look over at this new, promising, unsullied member.

"Yes, my lord, we unsullied have heard of your rumours and long for a place to truly stay. You don't treat us like those other masters would, and we would have a real purpose with you..." he looks towards the masters, who are in fear but also getting angrier.

"If we are caught talking about you, the masters will punish us harder." Hearing this, I just pondered.

I felt that if I went to Astapor, I might be able to get a bunch more assistance, but I also knew that if I did it, it would lead to a war between my side and all the masters of Essos.

I know what liberation will do and those who will resist it. 'The time is not ripe yet, my stage is still waiting for me.'

'Maybe it would be good for her to play this part.' I could think of Daenerys doing this. She was always very cheerful and upright. If I asked her to become a new liberator fighter, it would be an excellent chess piece in the future.

My mind re-focuses as I look at the shivering masters.

"Get out of here and go back to Astapor. I will visit it myself in the future. You can determine your own attitudes, but if I am unhappy, you should better hope you gave your inheritance away because I will make sure you die that same day. This is my Madara Uchiha threat to you. Do what you want with these words."

As the masters scramble to get up and leave, they start pulling a chain that attaches to the female slaves.

"No, you three will leave alone. Everyone else here will stay... Everyone." With the heavy emphasis on everyone, I saw the masters once again show anger and most likely plan something against me.

But I looked forward to it.

It would lighten up my already boring, dull life.

I just don't want to fight against all of Essos; if I don't need to, I won't, but if I do. I need at least the Mangekyo.

I can already feel my eyes slowly evolving on their own. If no strong emotion is found, it may take another ten years.

As the masters leave, I look at the female slaves, ignoring them. I turn to Illyrio, commanding, "Put them in spots where they would be useful, and you come to me." In the end, I point to the girl who interested me.

"What's your name?" I asked

"Missandei, your lord, thank you for saving me." She blushed a little.

I don't really understand why she blushed, but I just nodded. "Did they do anything besides touch you?" Although this was a secretive subject, I wanted to know in case she had weird thoughts. If she had PTSD, I would want to fix it soon. A talent like this should only focus on serving my goals and not be distracted or emotionally broken.

My thoughts were cold, but this is the type of world we live in. If she misaligns a vital thing due to an emotional mishap from PTSD, It will be unforgivable.

"No, my lord, I haven't bled yet, and I was well protected by my master; he wanted to take my first time after I bled." I felt disgusted again; I also know that relationships happened around the age of 14 in the ninja world.

But that's usually two of the same age, not a 12-year-old girl and a 30-ish man.

These are some of the first people I will want to kill after my rule.

"Missandei, you will follow me for now as I think of a position for you. Grey Worm, you will be trained by Yellow Bug for a bit to take his mantle. Yellow Bug is going to get older and needs to stay here, and you will be trained into something more. We will find others for you. I named this elite squad "Anbu." This group will be personally trained by myself for the next year."

"Yes, my lord." was Missandei's soft voice and sweet smile.

"Yes." was Yellow Bug, and then Grey Worm nodded.

"Illyrio, I will be leaving in about a year. I will need a good ship crew, one that can sail in any condition. Soldiers, I have my own, let alone that I am enough."

"Yes," Illyrio replied simply and neatly; he looked very pleased with my handling.

I could still notice some slight unease in his expression, though. Given Viserys's frequent presence, I wonder if he is planning something. I wouldn't put it past him. I can tactfully despise him, but I would not underestimate what he could do.

Calendar Year: 293 AC (1 Year Later, Madara is 10)

< Madara POV >

I felt pleased with my handling in the last year. Daenerys is now able to throw shurikens from 15 meters and hit a bullseye. Visery came back after a year of learning theoretical knowledge with Illyrio. His young face was washed with an older look from his teenage years.

The anbu I had set up was already completed. With Gray Worm as the leader, he led a small team of ten members, each of which could fight and beat at least ten of my already retrained uchiha guards. This was the new name for my unsullied.

Missandei and Daenerys got acquainted and became close friends. Daenerys also pulled Missandei into training, and it turns out Daenerys has an eye for talent, too, but warfare. Missandei was almost an archer prodigy. She was calm and shot strongly, almost accurately, always hitting bullseye targets from even 100 meters away. Moving objects is still in training, though.

I could feel my growing power in the last year. Looking at it, I felt my blood boil and my smile more often appeared. This was the power of security and my ambition.

I am now planning on sailing to Braavos to finally tackle the problem of the faceless man. I hope to get a better understanding of what magic they are using and even just understand their combat abilities myself.

I will be leaving my anbu to protect Daenerys and Viserys alike. These essential pieces for my future cannot be harmed yet. I tell myself they are tools, but my emotions sometimes feel otherwise. I hope that during this absence, I will stop feeling this feeling, as it will only become a burden if it doesn't go away.

As the night falls over me, and tomorrow morning, I set off. Looking up at the moon, I could already envision a future where I rule over this world and allow my true world peace to finally succeed.

This will be real peace, not an illusionary one. Over time, I realized my thoughts were not what I had wanted originally. I don't know when it started, but I felt a drive and a need to succeed. I felt I had to complete this exact mission as if it were my goal.

Now, I feel free from that restriction.

This is what I really wanted to do.

"Daemon... is that you?" I heard a soft cry from behind me and saw Daenerys, who was already starting to grow into a beautiful woman. She was wearing a white silk nightgown and stepping towards me lightly.

"Daenerys, I will be leaving soon. I don't know when I will come back or if I will. If I don't, I hope you stay strong and true to who you are and follow your heart." I felt relaxed talking to her like this; I never felt like this unless I was talking with Hashirama. I also felt like teasing her a bit about my not survival.

"Daenerys, I will also be using my new name, a real name. Daemon was chosen by Illyrio and wasn't chosen by my parents or myself. I decided to go by Madara Uchiha. Uchiha would be my new house I will make in my future plans going to Westeros." I stared at her in seriousness. I could see her dazed for a bit, then looking a little sad.

"What's wrong? " After I said this, I felt weird myself... Why? Why would I care to ask?

"Do you not like Targaryen or this family?" she was worried about this.

"It's not that I don't like it; it is my current blood. But I also wanted to create my own legacy and clan, not follow others. So Uchiha was made, and as you can see, all the guards located here are using my sigil. These will be my soldiers when I go to Westeros in the future." Once I started talking, I couldn't stop. It felt good to confide my thoughts to someone else. It made me feel more refreshed.

"Madara, what a nice name. You can call me Dany." She chuckled and danced around as if she had succeeded in something... maybe she had. Dany has probably already been seen as my younger sister. I will do my best to protect her. These were my authentic and truest thoughts at this moment.

Thinking back to my initial plan of her being a liberationist, I would need to revise it to make her safety paramount.

"I will be leaving for Braavos. There, I will find you a water dancing teacher and bring him back. I will also be finding some secrets that I won't mention because the fewer people who know, the better." I looked into the void as if I could peer through where the world's gods were watching.

"Keep up your training, and you are protected by my new anbu guards. I will be back by next year at the latest." I say safely that I should be back much sooner than that, but I never know what I might encounter.

"Madara..." I turn my head to see Dany give me a wreath. I knew this was a custom of favour that she had read about. I smile a little bit and put the wreath around my wrist. She smiles and turns back, running to her room.

"Hahaha." I laughed loudly in the night. This is what a family should be like, unlike those wars in my old war. This is the peace I strive for.

My eyes turn into unwavering conviction.

'I will create such a world, even if I must take all the blame and pain for myself.'

I need to go to sleep now.

Tomorrow, I sail for Braavos and need to be rested and ready.
