Chapter 7: Do You Wanna Have A Bad Time?
[AUTHOR'S POV]
The clash of steel against claws echoed through the dark forest, each strike sending sparks flying in the dim moonlight.
Arthur smiled as his axe locked against the werewolf's claws, the beast snarling with primal fury.
The force of their struggle reverberated through his arms, but Arthur held firm.
The werewolf's glowing yellow eyes burned with savage intent as it pushed against the axe blade, attempting to overpower him.
But Arthur had planned this.
With a quick twist, he wrenched the axe free and delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to its ribs.
The impact sent the beast flying into a nearby tree, splintering the trunk and causing the creature to yelp in pain.
"Not so tough now, are you?"
Arthur quipped, grabbing the werewolf by its tail before it could recover.
With a grunt of effort, he slammed the creature into the ground, its howl of pain echoing through the forest.
The werewolf leaped back, blood dripping from its wounds as it growled low and menacing.
Arthur casually picked up his axe and activated Observe.
A glowing interface appeared in his mind, detailing the creature's stats.

Arthur raised an eyebrow.
"That's it? I expected more bite from a mutt your size."
The werewolf snarled, clearly enraged by his taunt.
Its wounds began to close rapidly, the bleeding halting as its regeneration kicked in.
Then it inhaled deeply and unleashed a deafening shockwave howl.
The force tore through the forest, uprooting trees and sending debris flying.
Arthur braced himself, using the axe as a makeshift shield.
The wave hit him like a freight train, sending him crashing into a tree with enough force to splinter it.
Arthur was momentarily stunned, but quickly regained his footing.
"That... actually wasn't too bad."
He muttered, glancing at the axe.
Not even a scratch on its blade.
"Damn, this is a high-quality axe."
The werewolf crouched low, preparing to charge again, but Arthur smirked.
"Alright, doggo. Fetch!"
He said, hurling the axe.
The werewolf instinctively caught the axe in its powerful jaws, the blade clamping between its teeth.
Arthur had expected this.
With a swift roundhouse kick to its jaw, the axe tore through the creature's teeth, sending shattered fangs flying and blood spraying.
The werewolf howled in agony, retreating a few steps as it tried to process the pain.
Arthur couldn't resist taunting it further.
"What's the matter? Thought you liked playing fetch."
*Roar!*
The beast's howl turned into a guttural roar as its body began to contort and grow.
Its black fur bristled like sharp quills, claws lengthening into crimson blades, and its once-yellow eyes burned a demonic red.
It doubled in size, its muscles rippling with newfound power as it emits a reddish aura.
Arthur's smirk faded, replaced by a small frown.
"Okay… that's new."
Gaia's voice echoed in his mind.
(This is Feral State, an innate ability of werewolves. It converts all of their mana into temporarily enhancing their physical prowess. Think of it as your Berserk Mode but without the Kratos-Class anger issues.)
"Well, that's just great. Where's the hell is a Pokéball when you need one?"
Arthur muttered, keeping his eyes on the hulking monstrosity.
He activated Observe again, and his eyes widened at the new stats.

"Oh, come on. Now that's just cheating."
He groaned.
The werewolf unleashed another shockwave howl, this one far more powerful.
Arthur was blasted backward, smashing through multiple trees before hitting the ground with a sickening thud.
Pain shot through his body as he struggled to stand, coughing up blood.

"... Fan-fucking-tastic."
He muttered bitterly while wiping the blood off his lip.
The werewolf charged, its claws cutting through the air like blades.
Arthur barely managed to activate Flash Step, dodging a swipe that would have decapitated him.
He countered with another burst of Flash Step, leaping into the treetops to gain some distance.
The respite didn't last long.
The feral beast pursued him relentlessly, swiping at him in mid-air.
One claw struck him, tearing through his coat and raking his back.
Arthur tumbled from the branches, slamming into the ground with a pained gasp.
He struggled to rise, his vision swimming.
"O-Oww... My... Oww..."
He winched in pain.

The feral werewolf loomed over him, its massive form casting a shadow under the pale moonlight.
Blood dripped from its fangs as it growled, a low rumble that sent shivers down Arthur's spine.
Arthur chuckled weakly, spitting blood onto the ground.
"A-Alright... you're strong... I'll give you that... Guess I-I... underestimated you..."
The werewolf opened its maw, its razor-sharp fangs glinting as it prepared to end him.
Arthur closed his eyes for a brief moment, then smirked.
"I guess the warm-up is over... So I gotta ask..."
He said calmly, his right eye glowing a bright, otherworldly blue.
"Do you wanna have a bad time?"
With a voice like steel, he uttered the command.
"Innovate Clear."
The werewolf lunged, jaws wide open to crush Arthur's head in its maw, but before it could strike, a blinding flash of blue light illuminated the forest.
The beast recoiled, momentarily blinded, and when its vision returned, it found itself inside a massive, translucent dome of transparent blue light.
Arthur was gone from where he had been pinned.
The werewolf's crimson eyes scanned the area frantically before spotting him high above, hovering mid-air.
His right eye glowed an intense, otherworldly blue, and his battered body seemed to radiate with vitality as his wounds sealed themselves, courtesy of Minor Healing Factor.

*Inhale and Exhale*
Arthur took a deep breath, feeling his strength flood back thanks to Second Wind.
With calm precision, he raised his axe to the sky.
A bluish light formed above him, and from it emerged a colossal dragon skull, its hollow eyes burning with an ethereal blue flame.
Arthur's voice was low but carried power.
"Fire."
The dragon skull released a torrent of bluish plasma in a concentrated beam that roared toward the werewolf, carving through the night like divine judgment.
The beast's survival instincts flared, and it leaped aside with blinding speed, narrowly evading the searing blast.
The laser struck the ground, triggering a fiery explosion that obliterated everything in its vicinity.
Trees were incinerated, rocks melted, and the air shimmered with heat waves.
The werewolf snarled, its red eyes darting toward Arthur, but before it could recover, Arthur raised his left hand and pointed a single finger at the beast.
A glowing blue X appeared on the werewolf's chest.
"Gotcha, bitch."
Arthur muttered.
With a casual wave of his hand, the werewolf's body was violently yanked into the air, suspended as if by an invisible force.
It howled in rage and confusion, thrashing wildly, but its struggle was futile.
Arthur slammed it into the ground with brutal force, the earth cracking beneath the impact.
He lifted it again, hurling it against trees and rocks with relentless ferocity.
Each blow left the creature battered and broken, its once-proud form reduced to a bloodied wreck.
The werewolf tried to regenerate, its body knitting itself together even as Arthur brought it higher into the air.
With a final, devastating motion, he slammed it into the ground so hard the impact sent a shockwave rippling through the forest, uprooting nearby trees.
It lay there, struggling to rise, its bones shattered and its body riddled with wounds.
But Arthur wasn't done.
He snapped his fingers, and from the scorched earth below, ten silver spears erupted, piercing the beast's body.
The werewolf released an ear-splitting howl, its regeneration faltering as the silver burned through its flesh.
It writhed in agony, unable to free itself from the spears' grip.
Arthur teleported down, landing softly amidst the destruction, his glowing eye dimming slightly as he approached the immobilized werewolf.

His steps were unhurried, his gaze cold and calculating.
"You know, I always find it strange when powerful creatures like you exist, there's always a weakness hiding somewhere. It almost makes me wanna pity you guys."
He began, his voice carrying through the crackling remnants of the forest.
"I don't know if you understand this, but did you know, it took me quite some time to use the creation aspect of my Longinus? It's pretty tricky building something out of nothing. But after a while, I managed to pull it off. And these are the results."
He gestured to the dragon skull hovering on top of the beast.
"Inspired by an OP lazy skeleton and a lesbian fish soldier from a game I watched on YouTube. You should feel honored, you're the first one to experience my efforts."
The werewolf's body began to shrink, its grotesque feral form retreating.
Its red eyes faded back to their original yellow, and its fur lost its quill-like sharpness.
It looked up at Arthur now not with rage, but with caution and fear.
Arthur observed the transformation with detached interest, his voice soft but cutting.
"Looks like the silver is disrupting your natural abilities."
He raised his axe, its blade gleaming under the pale light of the moon.
"And yet, you're still alive and in pain. Let's fix that."
He lifted the weapon high, preparing to bring it down with devastating force.
The werewolf closed its eyes, bracing itself for the end.
Arthur swung down.
*BOOM!*
...
The dust subsides and the sound of rushing air fills the silence.
The axe stopped mere inches from its head.
The ground split open beneath the shockwave of the halted strike, cracks radiating outward.
The werewolf opened its eyes slowly, trembling as it saw Arthur's icy gaze fixed on it.
*Whimper*
Fear consumed the beast, and it whimpered, a sound of pure submission.
Arthur lowered the axe and crouched, meeting the werewolf at eye level.
His voice was calm, yet it carried the weight of authority.
"Now that you know your place, let's talk."
He said, his expression unreadable.
"Your survival depends if I like the answer or not."
