Chapter 9: Meeting Kiba Yuuto
Chapter 8 - Meeting Kiba Yuuto
After spending a day handling some trivial matters, Yukio transferred to Kuoh Town the following day.
Although his mother, Maho, wanted him to continue studying at Shuchi'in Academy, he decisively refused.
Knowing that nagging would only make her son resent her more, Maho chose to let the matter go.
She gave Yukio a warm hug and her best wishes for good health during his studies, promising to visit once a week.
"There's still a lot to do."
Yukio headed to the hotel he had booked online.
Once he had stowed his luggage, he lay down on the bed, looking exhausted.
It was summer vacation, and the admission procedures for Kuoh Academy were moving slowly.
It would take a while before everything was finalized.
Moreover, since he had decided to settle down here, he would certainly need to buy a house and go through a series of related procedures.
"Forget it, I'll just hire someone to take care of these things."
Now that he was in Kuoh Town, Yukio had no interest in wasting too much time on these trivial matters.
Most importantly, he had plenty of money in his pocket.
And he had a system as well.
No need to panic at all.
On his first day, Yukio did not wander around.
After having dinner at the hotel and taking a shower, he went straight to sleep.
The next day, he found a firm specializing in handling errands. After handling the details, he left.
In the early stages of the anime, aside from Kuoh Academy, he needed to pay attention to the abandoned church in the suburbs.
Yukio's first target was naturally Kuoh Academy.
The most important thing was that he wanted to try his luck meeting one or two main characters, hoping to gain some dimension points from them.
After taking a taxi, Yukio headed to Kuoh Academy.
During the summer vacation, kuoh Academy was deserted, though occasionally a few students could be seen passing by inside.
Although Yukio wanted to go in and have a look, the school guards stopped him at the gate.
Without student ID, there was no way to enter.
Yukio felt a bit disappointed.
With his current strength, going to the abandoned church would still be dangerous.
Not only was there a crazed priest, but there were also several fallen angels.
If he rushed in recklessly, who knew what danger he would face?
"Hello, what are you doing at the school gate? You look troubled."
At this moment, a blond boy walked over, looking somewhat puzzled.
His appearance was exceptional.
He looked about the same age as Yukio, and in terms of looks, he surpassed most of the so-called male TV stars by a wide margin.
He carried a long, cloth-wrapped item on his back, likely a kendo cover.
He appeared gentle and cheerful.
"Hello, you must be a student here, right?" Yukio asked.
"Yes, I am," the blond boy replied with a nod.
"My name is Yukio Fujiwara. I'm a transfer student scheduled to enroll at Kuoh Academy next semester," Yukio said, extending his right hand with a smile.
"Is that so?" The blond boy remained polite.
Seeing Yukio extend his hand, he also reached out to shake it.
[Congratulations to the host, you have obtained 51,230 dimension points.]
Hearing the system prompt, Yukio couldn't help feeling delighted.
It seemed the blond boy in front of him was Yuuto Kiba.
After all, going from a 2D to a 3-D reality, Yukio had only sensed a vague familiarity but wasn't entirely sure.
The system prompt confirmed that the person before him was Yuuto Kiba.
As expected of someone from the protagonist group.
The amount of dimension points absorbed greatly surpassed what he had gained before.
"The documents have already been sent to the school, and the admission procedures are underway," Yukio explained with a smile as he let go of Yuuto Kiba's hand.
"It might take some time before everything is finalized."
"My name is Yuuto Kiba. I'll be a second-year student at Kuoh Academy when the new semester starts," the blond boy said.
"From the way you speak, you don't seem to be from around here. Did you come from another place?"
"Yes," Yukio nodded.
Yuuto Kiba sighed slightly.
In Japan, most people had distinct regional accents.
Judging from Yukio's speech, it sounded quite similar to the local Kuoh accent, as if he'd practiced it.
"After all, if I want to attend school here, I need to familiarize myself with the local specialties," Yukio said modestly.
"That's impressive."
"It's nothing special, really, just something I had to do," Yukio said, feeling slightly embarrassed by Yuuto Kiba's serious admiration.
"Putting in that kind of effort and achieving it is something that many people can't do. It's very admirable," Yuuto said.
As expected of the most popular male student at Kuoh Academy.
He certainly knew how to say just the right thing.
