Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Miss Qiao's Trouble_1
The top-floor helipad.
In the azure sky, a Black Hawk Helicopter descended dominantly, its rotors whipping up a hurricane, roaring and swirling.
Mu Jingxi stood among a row of subordinates with ramrod-straight postures, his own figure as stalwart as a pine, his gaze fixed on the helicopter's cabin door.
The next instant, the door opened, and several agile men in black were the first to disembark.
Mu Jingxi's cold eyes narrowed slightly; this so-called Miss Qiao actually required the escort of the Special Operations Bureau.
"Miss Qiao, please."
A delicate and fair hand rested in the grasp of a man in black, allowing him to guide her down from the cabin.
The woman with a graceful figure shone dazzlingly white in the sunlight, her skin translucent and lustrous, her delicate facial contours soft, her limpid eyes sparkling like stars, her nose finely sculpted, and her lips, rosy and enticing.
Her seaweed-like dark hair, naturally wavy, hung lazily around her waist.
She was the embodiment of both purity and allure, dazzling beyond compare.
Trouble.
Mu Jingxi labeled her in his mind with these two words.
Qiao An also unabashedly appraised him.
Mu Jingxi, the man Ji Qingxin was about to marry.
Standing at an estimated height of 1.9 meters, his sharp black suit complemented his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and those exceptionally long legs to perfection.
Among the uniformly dressed men in black, he was the most striking one.
His features were impeccably defined, obviously a favored creation of God. Those narrow eyes were deep, pitch-black orbs with a profound and heavy vortex, irresistibly enchanting.
His thin lips were tightly pressed together, exuding an air of arrogance and a commanding presence even without anger.
"Miss Qiao, that is Mr. Mu Jingxi from the X Secret Operations Bureau," the special agent gave a brief introduction.
Qiao An let out a soft chuckle, "I know."
Before coming here, she had already gathered all the basic information about Mu Jingxi.
Mu Jingxi was the person she had personally chosen; how could she not recognize him.
The man in black gestured for her to proceed, and Qiao An stepped towards Mu Jingxi.
The wind from the rotors blew her strands of hair into disarray, a few playful locks brushing against his face, tickling him faintly.
"I am Qiao An."
Her gentle voice was almost drowned out by the roar of the engine.
Mu Jingxi's gaze grew heavy, "Mu Jingxi."
The man in black extended his hand, and after a brief handshake with Mu Jingxi, he said, "Mr. Mu, our mission is to escort Miss Qiao safely back to the country. From now on, you will be fully responsible for Miss Qiao's personal safety. As for other information, I believe the leader will inform you."
Mu Jingxi nodded, "You have all worked hard."
"You're too kind, Mr. Mu."
With the handover complete, Mu Jingxi turned to Qiao An, his eyes cool, "Miss Qiao, after a long flight, you must be tired. Shall I take you to rest first?"
"Sure."
"Where is Miss Qiao staying?"
Qiao An's eyes gleamed with a hint of mirth, "Where does Mr. Mu live?"
"The Main Building."
"Hmm... then I shall stay at the Main Building as well."
Mu Jingxi: "..."
Qiao An pretended not to understand, tilting her head slightly, her tone playful, "What's the matter, Mr. Mu, are you unwilling?"
"It's inappropriate."
He doesn't want her to stay?
Hmph, she was all the more determined to stay!
Qiao An placed her hands behind her back, nodded, and then turned to look at the men in black who had not yet left.
