Chapter 4: ACCIDENT
Zeva was riding through the highway, when she stopped her bike at the side of the road, and removed her helmet. She then took out a can of cold drink from the packet, which she had brought from the convience store.
Gulping down two gulps of the drink, she sighed and rubbed her mouth. "Huh... Such a relief. I had already not eaten anything of much fulfling since the morning and that stupid fellow made me drain more of my left over energy. Sigh, being a girl is so tough in the cruel world!"
She then looked up at the sky. The sky was beautiful today. It was clear, and the moon and the stars shone in their full glory.
She then spotted two little stars near to each other twinkling beautifully and smiled at it. "I miss you so much, Mom, Dad. There is not a day when I don't wish that you were here with me. I love you so much. "
Zeva's sighed heavily.
And the next second she poured and said, "Well do you know, if you both would have been here with me then I had not have to face so much in this cruel world. And lately I have been feeling that the world is extra cruel to me!"
Then habitually she looked around to find, another little star shining in its full story too. She smiled looking at it and said, "And I miss you a lot too Grandma.."
Zeva felt a rush of memories, as she sighed heavily and shook her head, and she looked down.
BOOAAMM
Zeva was only having a pleasant time with herself and her memories when she heard a loud explosive noise. Her eyes flew wide open and she saw that there was an accident right in front of her eyes.
A car had collided with a big truck! The front of both the vehicles were damaged. And that was not even the half bad that had happened.
The car being smaller in size had tilted to the side. And the worst part was the side the car had titled was a slope like deep cliff!
One side of the front wheels of the truck also got slipped into the slope, resulting the situation to be very dangerous!
"AHHHH!! HELP! HELPPP! "
Zeva heard voices from the other side of the car and rushed to over there.
The other few people who were present there, or passing by in their cars, too stopped the vehicles and made their way over there.
When Zeva reached there, she saw the truck driver was able to escape from the truck. He looked shocked and concerned. Zeva noticed how he was limping and the lower left leg was bleeding.
He did not run away or anything, instead looked scared and shouted for help. It was evident that it was truly an accident. It was sloppy and an accident prone area, where even a small mishap may cause a huge accident.
Zeva checked for the people in the car. And the she heard for help again. Running around the car, she went to the cliff side, and her her eyes widened in pure horror. There people were hanging on their life, from falling off the ever so deep cliff.
And that was a family of three!
The man's half body was still in the car, and half of his upper body was out of the car. With one hand he was holding his wife's hand and with the other hand he was holding his three to four years old daughter's hand.
It was a dire situation! Looking at this, Zeva's heart was almost stuck into her mouth. Her heart started racing crazily and her mind weny blank for a second.
"Someone help!" The man shouted at the top of his voice. He was doing his best to not let anything happen to his family. But the poor man was also helpless.
Zeva was shaken back to reality, and she rushed to help. Her conscience did not allow her to leave the family in this dire situation and leave! So what if they were strangers. At least we all are humans!
There were not many people who stopped by and came for help. Because firstly, the road was not something that had a huge traffic. And many others just passed by not noting what happened as accidents were a daily occurence. Or some did not want to get involved in anything like this.
"Somebody call the cops, authorities and the rescue team! " Zeva shouted.
"I will do that!" The truck driver at once voluntered and Zeva nodded at him.
"But we can't leave them hanging their untill the authorities come. It will be too late." One gentleman there said with concern.
