Chapter 6: I ATLEAST DESERVE THIS FOR SAVING YOUR LIFE
Zeva was in utter shock, as she felt her body free falling. She heard distant sounds of the screams from the people standing up there, as they looked at her in horror, with their hands stretched out.
So this is my end. She thought to herself. This is how I am going to die. As her eyes were open, she saw the sky where the stars were twinkling beautifully. And a serene smile appeared on her lips, as she closed her eyes.
Mom, Dad, Grandma, we are going to meet soon.
BLANK.
And she lost consciousness.
****
"Ahhh- HHH!!!" Zeva woke up with a start and started feeling her surroundings in hurry. She was completely drenched with sweat, and her eyes were wide open, and her breath was heavy.
Touching her forehead, then cheeks than arms, Zeva frowned as she tried to ca her heartbeat again. She was in her own room at her own house!
"What was that? Wasn't I falling off the cliff? Did I not die? How come I am here?" She murmured.
Then looking around, she checked it again and confirmed that, yes, that was hundred percent her very own room in her very apartment.
"Was that a dream then? But it felt too real for a dream. Strange. " Zeva poured as she murmured.
"Nope, that was not a dream." All of a sudden, she heard another voice from somewhere around that made Zeva jump in fright from where she was.
Why? Well, because she lived alone! And now the walls and furnitures don't speak, do they!
She whipped her head here and there and looked around serching if her house suddenly got haunted or anything?!
"What are you searching for? Me? Then I am here." The voice came again.
And this time Zeva followed the source of the sound, and she lowered her head a little. Okay, a little more. A little more. And more. And then she saw a tiny person standing there.
"..." And there Zeva turned speechless. In front of her stood, a little girl of almost four years, looking up at her with her big beady eyes.
They both stared at each other without saying anything. They stared and stared and stared.
Finally the tiny being gave up, as she rolled her eyes and said, "Alright now. I know I am a cute little pookie. But now take a break. Because I am tired to staring at the average looking you. " Saying so, she ate a spoonful of ice cream from the bowl she was holding.
"..." Zeva went speechless again. The way she just got humbled over her wonderful looks!
But the next second, her eyes fell on the bowl of ice cream in the little girl's hand and her eyes widened.
A nerve stuck on her forehead.
And she said out loud. "Hey! Hey! Hey! The audacity you little fella have! Not only are you in my house out of fine air and without my permission, and I don't know how. And then you have also just called out my gorgeous loos average. And now you are also eating my favourite ice cream that too without asking me?! Does you play school not teach you basic manners yet?!"
Zeva scolded her.
The little girl appeared annoyed as she puffed her cheeks and looked at Zeva with a glare and said, "What play school?! And what little fella! Don't compare me with the other stupid children on Earth! They and me are no match!
And just how miser are you?! I have saved your life, atleast I deserve this!"
Zeva looked at her with a not impressed expression and said, "Little kido, are you done? Just because you are a child, I am not going to tell you anything. You can have that ice cream. I am not going to hold you for it. But after you finish it, leave my house, get it?
Come on, tell me where is your mom?"
Zeva turned around looking for her phone, as she murmured, "This kids nowadays are more delusional than delusion itself.." It was evident that she did not believe an ounce of whatever the little kid said.
Just when she turned back,
PATT!
She got hit by something on her head. Zeva closed her eyes as she got more annoyed. This little lash! Did she just throw the spoon at me!
She whipped around to reprimand her, but what she saw almost made the ground slip off her feet, and she jumped back in fright and fell back on the bed.
