Hokage : My Nine tails are getting more and more

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Slow Progress

Naruto turned to Kurama, a question lingering on his mind. "How exactly do you plan to absorb its Chakra?"

Kurama's response was confident, as always. "Naruto, just help me restrain it. Everything else, I'll take care of."

Naruto nodded, his gaze sharp as he faced the Nine Tails in the iron cage. The beast, trapped and furious, screeched loudly, "Trash! You've made an agreement with humans? Who are you? Why am I trapped like this?"

The Nine Tails' voice was filled with rage, but Naruto's patience was wearing thin. He had no time for the creature's temper tantrums. Nine Tails was nothing more than a nuisance now.

For years, the Nine Tails had been trapped, sealed away by the Fourth Hokage, and it had only calmed after countless years of fury and rage. Naruto knew that if he was to influence this Nine Tails the same way he had done with Kurama, it would take more than a decade. But by then, it would be too late.

And without the system's guidance, there was no pressing reason to deal with the Nine Tails.

Kurama, however, wasn't concerned. The animosity Kurama felt for the Nine Tails went beyond simple rivalry—it was personal. To imagine a version of yourself better than you in every way, surrounded by praise and admiration while you were left to watch from the shadows, unable to do anything about it—was unbearable. Kurama had endured that for far too long, and now, with Naruto at his side, he had no sympathy for Nine Tails.

Naruto understood that deep resentment. He could relate to Kurama's feelings, even if only in part.

Determined, Naruto prepared to deal with Nine Tails swiftly. He formed a series of hand seals, summoning two of the most powerful sealing techniques at his disposal.

"Adamantine Sealing Chains—Change!"

"Wood Style—Myojin Gate!"

The air crackled with energy as the techniques materialized, binding Nine Tails in place. The beast struggled, but Naruto's overwhelming Chakra sealed it in place. The Nine Tails was effectively immobilized, its movements limited, and its Chakra flow restricted.

At that moment, Kurama seized the opportunity. With a surge of Chakra, Kurama poured his energy into the iron gate that contained Nine Tails. The process of absorbing Nine Tails' Chakra began, and it was clear it would take time.

---

After sealing the Nine Tails and beginning the absorption process, Naruto returned to Konoha. The village seemed unchanged, as though his absence hadn't affected anything. But Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Hokage, had been watching carefully.

He summoned Naruto to his office, the old man's expression serious as he puffed on his pipe. "Naruto, while you may no longer be a Jinchūriki, your identity as one is still known to the outside world."

Naruto remained silent for a moment before asking, "How did you manage to hide my identity all those years?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen was caught off guard by the question. "What do you mean?"

Naruto waved his hand dismissively. "It's not important right now. I'll try to stay out of trouble in the future."

Sarutobi Hiruzen was struck by the maturity in Naruto's words. He had always known Naruto to be a bit reckless, but now, it seemed, the young man was starting to grow more thoughtful. Yet there was still a sense of distance between them. Naruto wasn't the same person he had been.

"Alright, Naruto. I trust you, but remember, there are others in the village who need guidance."

Naruto nodded and turned to leave, though his mind wandered. He was done with this conversation. He'd dealt with enough of Hokage's meddling for one day. Sarutobi Hiruzen, on the other hand, couldn't shake the sadness creeping over him. The hero's son, a child who had experienced so much pain, was becoming someone else entirely. Someone he could no longer easily understand.

---

Once back at home, Naruto let out a long sigh. It had been a tiring day. Between dealing with the Nine Tails, meeting with Sarutobi Hiruzen, and everything else, Naruto was physically and mentally drained. He decided to shower and try to get some sleep.

The following week, Sasuke came by, eager for a rematch. Despite his efforts, he still couldn't best Naruto, who easily outclassed him. But it didn't discourage Sasuke; he just redoubled his efforts.

"Here," Naruto said, pulling out a scroll. "This is the Konoha Body Flicker Technique. You'll need it if you want to keep up with me."

Sasuke took the scroll, nodding in appreciation, though there was an unspoken rivalry between the two. Sasuke didn't want to fall behind, and Naruto wasn't about to let anyone stay at the same level as him for long.

Meanwhile, Sakura had also been making progress in her own way. With the winter vacation in full swing, she and Naruto were still running their little photo business. Originally, the photos of Sasuke weren't much of a hit, but word spread quickly. Soon enough, customers began flocking to the Uchiha Station, hoping to get their hands on a rare photograph.

Naruto couldn't help but notice the money coming in. "I've sold over 100,000 silver taels this week," he muttered to himself as he reviewed his progress. But the task seemed daunting, even with the steady income.

Sakura, meanwhile, was thrilled with their earnings. "Naruto, we've made almost forty thousand silver coins today! This is incredible!"

Naruto glanced at her, then back at the long line of people still waiting for their turn. He shook his head. The progress was too slow. They needed to move faster.

"We need to copy the photos. It'll cut down the time," Naruto suggested.

Sakura was quick to agree. They would need to meet the demand if they wanted to get anywhere. The money they were earning could change their lives, even if this wasn't a world where wealth alone could grant power. But it was still a step toward financial freedom.

As they prepared to duplicate the photos, Naruto knew that the task ahead of them would take more than just hard work. It would require ingenuity and strategy. But for now, they were ready to take the next step, one photo at a time.

---

With this, Naruto's journey toward completing the task was well underway, but it was clear that the road ahead would be long and filled with challenges. But with his friends by his side and the weight of his past behind him, Naruto was ready to tackle whatever came next.
