Chapter 2: Volume I: Chapter 1: The Silver Crest Empire
Sacred weapons were created by the Supreme Being and the Heavenly Domains. It was given to humanity to secure and defend peace. It can select its owner and is available in various types, ranks, and varieties. These individuals are referred to as threaders. A person selected by a sacred weapon is known as a threader. The thread's entity and capabilities will mostly determine its full usage potential. With a weak threader, a highly powerful sacred weapon is at its weakest, and with the right one, a regular one is a true masterpiece.
The most powerful sacred weapon is typically possessed by royal families worldwide, mainly because the heavens first set the agreement between the leaders and the monarchs. Nowadays, due to different circumstances and mishandling, some of these sacred items are stolen or, worse, destroyed. What was once intended to bring mankind peace and protection is now the primary cause of war.
Millenniums passed, and William Lance Sigmund, an ambitious traveler and researcher, was chosen by a sacred weapon called Chromomisa, which is one of the strongest and considered a legendary sacred weapon, to be its owner.
Chromomisa is an amulet with a circular-shaped diamond gemstone at the center and is about the size of a human heart or a fist. It has outstanding power, tremendous attack, revitalization, and recovery mechanisms. Its primary domain is under the manipulator attack-type' and can stun a whole battalion in just one attack. It can also take down a whole city instantly; however, it is not a 'defense-control type' though it still has an outstanding defense mechanism that can defend a whole town.
William, the researcher, rose to the position of emperor and ruled over nearly half of the earth's surface. He had established his own empire, known as the Silver Crest Empire, and had conquered several countries. the largest and most powerful empire ever built.
The Emperor was entitled to be one of the strongest threaders for such a powerful reign. People concluded that the Emperor might be one of the legendary eternal threaders since he almost met the divine standards for the line, but the heavens declined, and the conclusion they had set failed.
Legends stated about the so-called "Eternal Threaders'. They were chosen by the Heavens and not just by the weapons themselves. Owning the permission to use the most powerful among all the sacred weapons on earth, yet it was said that having such great power has an equal cost.
They shall have the unfortunate life of immortality.
The Emperor abruptly vanishes one day and leaves behind a proclamation announcing that his second son will take the throne and lead his formidable empire.
The emperor has two sons and a daughter from three different women.
The first prince was Prince Howard Elrich Sigmund.
He was the only son of Princess Cherish, the first princess of one of his huge countries, Fidelpia.
He has the most amazing background and personality. He consistently excels in practically everything and is remarkable in many aspects. He is outstanding in all abilities, knowledge, and performance. He embodies both perfection and nobility. He is the best candidate to inherit the throne, but despite having such a reputation compared to his two siblings,. He was not selected to be the crown prince.
The second prince is Prince Evan Shawn Sigmund.
The prince with an unknown origin is also known as the 'bastard prince.
Emperor William just brought him in, saying that he was his son and a prince, and then locked him in his mansion in the palace. People wanted to question whether he was the emperor's real son, but when he made his coming-of-age ceremony appearance, no one dared to when they saw him face-to-face.
Most of the emperor's features were inherited by the second prince. He resembles his father's younger self precisely. Despite having every genetic characteristic of a handsome, ruddy lad,. He inherited a pair of stunning eyes, which were a trait not from his father but said to be from his unknown mother.
Its clean, cold color is reminiscent of the sea and trees together. It radiates against a somber backdrop and, at first glance, has the power to pierce the heart and soul.
Most likely, the Emperor's affection for him stemmed from his eyes.
After the second prince's debut, the emperor let him out of his cage and even declared to the world that he would be the royal heir of the throne instead of Prince Howard, who seems to be very suitable for the throne. Despite the fact that the entire empire had expected the first prince to succeed him and had insisted that he was the emperor's favorite son,.
Many initially disapproved of his decision, even going so far as to call it ludicrous. An illegitimate child inherits the throne while the eldest legitimate child is still alive and meets all the prerequisites. It is questionable. Especially when the second prince makes multiple attempts to rebel against his father and kills him in the middle of the night on multiple occasions.
And yet the emperor overlooks everything!
He didn't consider any of the attempts as treason and didn't condemn him for execution or banishment; instead, he punished everyone who opposed or disparaged his beloved son.
For those who are guilty. In an open field, with combustible substances pooling all around them, he burns them alive. This punishment is known as "the dance of death in flames and waters."
Originally, the prior emperor created this method of torture to preserve one of his sons' honors.
Just for the royal prince, his heir, and his second son.
Every imperial council is disturbed by this absurd reasoning, but no one is brave enough to confront such despotism anymore.
And lastly, the youngest, the imperial Princess Lizobelle Emberlaine Sigmund.
She is a beautiful young lady with long blonde hair and rare, reddish auburn eyes that she inherited from her father, the Emperor.
Very serene and elegant. She was labeled as the empire's 'delicate blooming flower'.
Her mother, Lady Sylvia, was the eldest daughter of the late governor and was married to the Emperor; however, due to her obnoxious actions,.
Lady Sylvia, who eventually became so enraged with the emperor, was expelled back to her native country. She was going to be beheaded, but her life was spared. In consideration of the young princess
She blames her child for everything, believing that her dreams of being a Queen Mother were dashed by the simple fact that she had a daughter rather than a son.
The day of the coronation is now on its way, and Prince Evan will be crowned Emperor. The announcement that the empire will soon have a successor is one of the most anticipated historical events. People are spreading the news from town to town. Celebrating the blissful touch of this breathtaking event. However, those are just fancy kinds of stuff and formal acts. The largest and most powerful empire is ruled by the brutal Emperor William.Behind that "everything fancy kind of stuff" are insults and critiques of the succession.
The goal of the first prince, Prince Howard, is always to become the next ruler, not the second. Everyone around the first prince claims that he is destined for this fate. That's why Prince Howard gave all his time, effort, and strength to achieve that goal and create a faultless, perfect character—which is actually impossible and unrealistic.
However, he was dismayed when the emperor chose the second prince as the crown prince instead of him. He even beat his brother to death with the use of his sacred weapon.
It was a custom that Emperor William perfectly overruled, designating the first son as the heir. Prince Evan, on the other hand, distances himself from authority figures, political lofty deceptions, hierarchy, and noble bluffs. The infamous black sheep, the one who is always being chastised and punished for being mischievous, defiant, rebellious, cruel, and rude, is now in line for kingship.
There had been a great outcry during the declaration. Almost everyone kneels in desperation during the statement, begging the Emperor to reconsider, but he refuses to change his mind. How unlucky they were. Some called it "quite concerning."
"It is a very opportunistic event for the enemies; they can take advantage of it. The empire will surely fall into deep destruction!!" They were shouting. However, he finalized it in the Last Testament.
